Chapter 68 The Rebellious Little Lamp

"Hehe, what a coincidence, I don't want to be your food!" Zhu Yi said, looking indignant.

There wasn't a trace of sadness or misery on his face.

The zombie leader's crimson eyes darted around, and with Zhu Yi held in one arm, he turned to the zombies around him and said, "Huh? This person can understand us?"

"Say it!" Never mind, I've been starving for so long and all I want is to eat! Grandpa, hurry up and bite her!

The two little zombies' eyes were no longer lifeless; instead, they turned deep purple, and all four eyes became lifelike.

Zhu Yi's mind went blank. The zombie leader in front of her didn't seem to be in a hurry to eat her. Its circling, bluish-black nose kept sniffing around behind her. Zhu Yi's neck and head were throbbing from the chilling, biting breath.

Goosebumps rose again, and Zhu Yi felt a little pathetic.

He formed a hand seal, quickly conjured a fireball, and threw it at the two little zombies.

The big zombie quickly shoved the little zombie aside, looking furious; he was clearly the little zombie's father.

"How wonderful, even zombies cherish their offspring like this. How did the original owner end up with such a scumbag father?"

With danger looming, Zhu Yi was no longer so panicked. Since the zombie leader wasn't in a hurry to eat her, she decided to unleash a few more attacks.

She quickly summoned the Brahma Lamp, and with the help of the "Lotus Cleansing Heart Melody" technique, Zhu Yi tried again to light the candle and let the Buddha's light assist her.

The Brahma lamp spontaneously emitted light in mid-air, and Zhu Yi was overjoyed, thinking that this time she would surely frighten these poisonous creatures into submission and acknowledge her master.

The zombies all looked at the constantly flashing glass palace lantern in mid-air, feeling a bit curious about it. A few of the bolder ones jumped high and stretched out their black claws to try and reach it, but couldn't reach it, and grumbled angrily.

The piercing scream carried quite far, startling Wei Weiwei, who was cooking porridge. Her hand trembled, and she almost overturned the half-cooked glutinous rice porridge she was making.

Xue Shan felt heartbroken. She felt her limbs were stiff and she was scared. She quietly moved away from Wei Weiwei to avoid accidentally hurting her if Wei Weiwei really turned into a zombie.

Wei Weiwei turned around, looking nervously at Xue Shan's receding figure: "Sister Shan, don't be afraid. Once we get out of here, the sect elders will definitely have a way to help you get rid of the corpse poison!"

Xue Shan was too embarrassed to speak, her teeth chattering. She wondered if it was just her imagination, but she felt a slight itch in her teeth.

"Here, drink this first! Drink it while it's hot, it'll warm you up!" Wei Weiwei cooked three bowls of glutinous rice porridge. After all, she was a daughter of a prominent family and had almost never cooked before, so the food she made...

Xue Shan took the glutinous rice porridge that had been boiled three times, carefully held it with her black fingernails, blew on it, and then drank it down in one gulp. Halfway through, she felt like spitting it out.

"No! Senior sister, don't spit it out! Junior sister said glutinous rice is good against zombies. Didn't you see? When a zombie steps on it, black smoke comes out!" Wei Weiwei also felt that the porridge she cooked was not very tasty, it was a bit hard to chew. She was a little embarrassed, but she forced herself to persuade Xue Shan to swallow it.

Sure enough, after eating the glutinous rice porridge, Xue Shan felt much lighter, but her stomach was churning, sore, bloated, and burning unbearably.

Zhu Yi stared wide-eyed as the lamp flickered once and then went out.

It proudly tilted its head back in mid-air, as if accusing Zhu Yi of not giving it that golden aura of righteousness.

"He's a light, he likes to collect all kinds of light."

Zhu Yi's lips twitched, her lips still bright red from dinner. Her stubbornness flared up: "Just wait until I get killed by the zombies and you won't have an owner anymore!"

I swear! What a worthless half-life magic artifact! She didn't even care about her work and was still greedy for her things!

They've actually rebelled!

Zhu Yi was furious and shouted in her loud voice, "If you don't work properly for me, you can go find another master!"

"Pfft!" Wei Weiwei was startled by the shout and choked, coughing incessantly.

What is the junior sister doing? How did she get captured by a zombie?

Wei Weiwei quickly swallowed the last mouthful of glutinous rice porridge, took out the Li Huo Bow, and swiftly aimed at the zombie leader. Her hand was trembling slightly; what if she accidentally hurt her junior sister?

Xue Shan, carrying the Hehuan Sword, wanted to rush up and get Zhu Yi out, but when she stood up, she was surprised to find that she was actually jumping around.

In the distance, Zhu Yi, who was sulking with the Brahma Lamp, also saw Xue Shan jumping around. Her dark, gem-like pupils instantly contracted. Was her senior sister really that badly injured?

The green eyes of the zombies around Zhu Yi were fixed on her, and their black claws, like withered tree branches, reached out to her, only to be sternly rebuked by the zombie leader.

"Qiu!" Uncle, why aren't we eating yet?

"Aww~" This person's aura is a bit strange, as if he is not a human being.

"Qiuqiu!" Why aren't we eating yet?

"What's the rush? I haven't finished my research yet! Even though we're zombies, we can't eat everything!"

Zhu Yi frowned. "Does biting someone have to be on a specific day?"

Her gaze once again fell resentfully on the Buddhist lamp floating in mid-air. How rebellious!

Its owner is about to die in the mouth of a zombie, and it's still sulking!

She would naturally give it good things that would help it cultivate, but as a magical artifact with a spirit, it was wrong of it to threaten its master regardless of the situation.

Whatever, I won't give it to her. She has a temper too.

Zhu Yi was sniffed from left to right by the zombie leader, and even the goosebumps on her skin couldn't be raised anymore. Finally, she couldn't hold back her anger and stared into the zombie leader's eyes, baring her teeth and threatening him back.

It's menacing and fierce, but it doesn't scare the zombies.

"Tsk!" The zombie leader bared its teeth, staring curiously at Zhu Yi. Are all human cultivators this temperamental these days?

"Yeah, we human cultivators all grow up eating zombies these days." Zhu Yi gestured with her lips, indicating to the two little zombies, "Especially the little zombies with delicate skin, they're perfect for hot pot!"

"Huh?" When did you human cultivators change your tastes? Don't lie to me, your aura is very unique, I can't tell your origin, you are clearly a human cultivator, but why can't I bring myself to bite you?

Zhu Yi frowned, gathered golden light and righteous energy in his hand, recalled the fist technique he hadn't practiced in a long time, and punched the zombie leader hard in the chest.

The zombie leader was studying the mysterious aura emanating from Zhu Yi when it was suddenly punched. Although the force was not great, the golden light of the secret realm amplified the impact, causing a dull ache in its chest.

With a flick of his wrist, Zhu Yi was thrown down.

Another squat, and my butt hurts a little.

Zhu Yi's face contorted in pain, giving herself no time to recover, and she unleashed a violent attack with her broadsword.

Her swordsmanship was swift and decisive, carrying a sharp and domineering force. Each strike landed on the small zombies, instantly enraging the larger zombies, who jumped and leaped towards Zhu Yi.
