Chapter 147 She Can't Survive

Fang Qingyue tightly grasped the silver needle hidden in her sleeve and calculated rapidly in her mind.

Her face was pale, her forehead was covered with cold sweat, and her breathing was rapid, but she still forced herself to remain calm, staring sharply at the two assassins in front of her.

At the moment when the other party approached, Fang Qingyue suddenly raised her hand, showing a silver needle, and said in a stern voice: "I advise you not to act rashly! Do you know who Shen Yuhan is? He will not let you little bastards go!"

As expected, the assassins paused and looked at each other.

They had indeed heard of Shen Yuhan's methods, and Fang Qingyue was the person Shen Yuhan valued very much.

Although they received money to do the job, they couldn't help but feel afraid at this time.

After all, if they killed Fang Qingyue, they might not be able to walk out of this desolate mountain alive.

The leading assassin glared at Fang Qingyue coldly, but the long sword in his hand hung in the air and did not move forward.

Their hesitation gave Fang Qingyue a precious chance to catch her breath.

Fang Qingyue took the opportunity to take another step forward, her eyes burning with brilliance: "You don't have to waste time here, Shen Yuhan has already brought his troops here."

"If you kill me, he will definitely massacre your entire family! Why not let me go now? I can plead for you!"

The hesitation in the assassins' eyes grew thicker. Shen Qiunian and Song Xiaoya stood in the distance, and their expressions grew increasingly gloomy when they heard Fang Qingyue's threat.

Shen Qiu Nian's face was filled with ferocity. Seeing that the assassins were hesitant to act, he gritted his teeth and roared, "What are you standing there for? Attack! As long as we kill her, Shen Yuhan won't be able to find any evidence even if he turns the world upside down!"

Upon hearing this, the assassin's expression suddenly became even more nervous.

Just when they hesitated, Fang Qingyue suddenly turned around with all her strength and rolled down the slope!

The opportunity before her was fleeting. Although the assassins were intimidated, if she continued to stay here, she would eventually die.

She did not choose to jump off the cliff, but instead found a steep slope, protected her lower abdomen with both hands, and tried her best to protect her important parts.

Her body rolled rapidly down the slope, and the sand and stones scratched her skin, causing bursts of pain. Her back and shoulders kept hitting the sharp rocks, but she gritted her teeth and endured the pain.

"Chase! She can't get away!"

Shen Qiu Nian roared and ordered the assassins to continue the pursuit.

Song Xiaoya smiled coldly, her eyes dark. "No need to chase her. If she continues like this, she'll most likely be seriously injured. Even if she doesn't die, she'll definitely be unable to escape."

She glanced at the cliff in the distance, a hint of coldness flashing in her eyes, "If we delay any longer and Shen Yuhan and his men arrive, there will be more trouble. Let's go."

Shen Qiunian frowned, obviously unwilling to give up, but looking at Fang Qingyue's embarrassed figure rolling down the slope, he knew in his heart that if Fang Qingyue fell like this, her chances of survival would be slim.

He kicked the stone on the ground angrily, his anger still not subsiding: "If she is still alive, she will definitely be a disaster."

Song Xiaoya responded coldly: "Don't worry, this place is deserted. There are rocks and wild animals all below the cliff. With her body, she won't be able to hold out for long."

Her eyes were deep, and she said no more. She turned around and quickly left the barren mountain with Shen Qiu Nian and the assassins.

Fang Qingyue's body rolled down the slope, and the dust raised obscured her vision.

The sharp rocks scratched her skin, causing waves of tearing pain.

She held her lower abdomen tightly with both hands, and the cold sweat on her forehead mixed with dirt and blood kept sliding down her cheeks.

Even though her consciousness was gradually blurring, she desperately told herself not to lose consciousness.

She must survive, for the sake of her unborn child and to wait for Shen Yuhan's rescue.

The surrounding scenery passed by quickly, the world seemed to be spinning rapidly, and the pain gradually pulled her into the abyss.

Finally, Fang Qingyue could no longer hold on, and her body fell heavily to the ground, and the world fell into complete darkness.

When Fang Qingyue opened her eyes again, what she saw was the dim roof.

Her whole body seemed to be torn apart and pain was everywhere.

She moved and found herself lying on a worn but clean straw mat, with a faint smell of bitter herbs at the tip of her nose.

Her head was still dizzy and her throat was as dry as if it were filled with sand and gravel.

At this moment, footsteps were heard beside my ears, and a slightly hoarse voice broke the silence in the room: "Awake? You are really lucky. You can roll down a cliff like that and still survive."

Fang Qingyue slowly turned her head and saw an old woman standing in the house.

Her thin figure was shrouded in shadow, looking particularly cold and hard.

Her face was full of wrinkles, and she was holding a bowl of boiled medicine in her hand as she slowly walked towards Fang Qingyue.

Fang Qingyue tried to prop herself up, but as soon as she moved a little, she felt severe pain all over her body, which made it almost impossible for her to breathe.

She looked at the old woman weakly and whispered, "Grandma...you saved me?"

The old woman placed the medicine bowl in front of Fang Qingyue with an expressionless face and snorted coldly, "Save you? You're just lucky. I was just passing by and saw you lying dying at the foot of the cliff. If I had been any later, a wild beast would have carried you off."

Although her tone was cold, the old woman's actions were not rude.

She sat aside and handed the medicine bowl to Fang Qingyue's mouth: "Drink it, it can save you temporarily, but if you want to fully recover from your injury, it will probably take several months."

Fang Qingyue took the medicine bowl gratefully and drank the bitter medicine with difficulty.

The warm liquid slid down her throat, bringing a glimmer of hope. She looked at the old woman gratefully and whispered, "Thank you so much for saving my life, Grandma... If it weren't for you, I'm afraid I would have died."

The old woman curled her lips, a cold look of disapproval flashing in her eyes: "No need to thank me. If I hadn't saved you, it would have been a waste of these medicines."
