"What?" Li Chengfeng stood up immediately, a spark of hope ignited in his heart, "Quick, take me there!"
"I'm going too!" Cheng Qingyuan followed closely behind, his worry about Fang Qingyue following him like a shadow.
Shen Yuhan nodded slightly and ordered his men: "You guys follow them and ensure safety."
His voice was calm, yet it held a hint of authority that could not be ignored.
As the night breeze blew gently, Li Chengfeng and Cheng Qingyuan quickly ran towards the small temple.
Fang Chiyue hid aside, feeling nervous but having no place to vent.
She knew that if she followed rashly, she might be discovered, so she quietly put on a hat and followed from a distance.
The small temple is located at the foot of the mountain, surrounded by tall pine trees. The moonlight shines through the leaves, casting mottled shadows, adding a touch of mystery to this quiet place.
At this moment, Fang Qingyue was surrounded by three strong men in the temple. Her face was pale, but she remained calm.
"Let me go!" She endured the severe pain from her wrist and stared at the burly man in front of her with a firm gaze.
"Do you think we will listen to you?" One of the burly men sneered, increasing the strength of his hands and looking quite proud.
Fang Qingyue frowned slightly, thinking to herself, "Li Chengfeng has nothing to do with me."
She took a deep breath and tried to make her voice sound calmer: "I have nothing to do with Li Chengfeng. You are doing useless work."
"Useless effort?" Another burly man stepped forward, a hint of suspicion flashing in his eyes. "Do you think we'll believe that? Li Chengfeng would go to great lengths just for you!"
"So, you're going to arrest me?" Fang Qingyue's eyes were sharp, and she showed no fear. "To me, Li Chengfeng is just a passerby. Let me go."
The strong men looked at each other, as if surprised by her calmness.
However, the pride they just felt had already made them unwilling to show weakness.
"Even if you have nothing to do with Li Chengfeng, you have to stay here."
When Li Chengfeng heard Fang Qingyue's words outside the small temple, his heart felt as if stabbed by a sharp knife.
He took a deep breath, suppressed his emotions, turned around and said to the men around him: "Get out of the way, I want to go in!"
As he broke into the temple, Li Chengfeng's eyes quickly caught sight of Fang Qingyue who was surrounded by several strong men.
Her face was pale, her wrist was twisted in extreme pain, and her eyes were sharp, revealing a hint of unyielding spirit.
"Let her go!" Li Chengfeng roared, clenching his fists, as if the whole world was shaking at his angry voice.
He rushed towards the strong men and punched them mercilessly.
Cheng Qingyuan followed closely behind, and seeing this, he quickly pounced on Fang Qingyue and protected her behind him.
He whispered, "Qingyue, are you okay?" His eyes nervously swept over her injured wrist, his heart full of self-blame.
"I'm fine, just a little injured." Fang Qingyue endured the pain, but her tone was firm.
Seeing this, the strong men looked at each other in panic: "Boss, what's wrong with you?"
"You shameless bastards!"
Li Chengfeng was furious and knocked down a strong man, who fell to the ground in pain, groaning.
Li Chengfeng showed no mercy and continued to punch until all three of them were lying on the ground begging for mercy in pain.
"We're only doing this for your own good, Boss!" one of the burly men pleaded, his tone filled with helplessness. "We can't bear to see you being played around by a woman!"
"Playing tricks on you?" Li Chengfeng stared at him coldly, with a strong disgust in his heart. However, facing his former subordinates, he couldn't bear to be ruthless.
He slowly put away his fist, his eyes like knives, and said coldly: "How dare you treat her like this, I can't keep you here."
"Boss, we were wrong, please let us go!"
The strong men begged for mercy, fear raging in their eyes.
Li Chengfeng was silent for a moment, hesitant.
The friendship they had shared in the past prevented him from ordering the killing: "Leave this place and never show up again. Otherwise, I will not let you go."
The strong men breathed a sigh of relief, got up one after another, and fled out tremblingly.
Shen Yuhan stood outside the small temple. The night was dark and the moonlight shone on his cold face, revealing a faint smile.
At this time, several strong men fled in a panic, their faces full of fear, with Li Chengfeng's fist marks still on their wrists, which looked extremely ridiculous.
"It seems that Li Chengfeng's soft-heartedness still allowed these ungrateful guys to escape."
Shen Yuhan sighed softly, with a hint of amusement in his eyes.
His subordinates echoed him, laughing, "Sir, you are right. It seems that Master Li is indeed not suited to accomplishing great things. Letting the tiger go back to the mountains will only bring disaster upon himself."
"That's his style." Shen Yuhan shook his head slightly, his eyes following the fleeing strong men.
Fang Chiyue, with her keen hearing, detected the tense atmosphere in the temple.
She gently pushed the door open, feeling nervous but still walked in steadily.
Her figure was silent.
After entering the temple, she immediately found Fang Qingyue and felt relieved.
"Qingyue, are you okay?"
Fang Chiyue asked anxiously, looking her over carefully to make sure she was alright.
Fang Qingyue smiled slightly. Although her face was pale, her tone was firm. "I'm fine. I just got a minor injury."
There was a hint of relief in her eyes, and she felt a little relieved to see Chi Yue return safely.
"The situation outside is urgent, Shen Yuhan is right outside the door!"
Fang Chiyue lowered her voice and quickly told Fang Qingyue the whole story.
Fang Qingyue was shocked. Although she had a premonition, she still couldn't help but feel frightened when she heard Shen Yuhan's name.
