The imperial physician bowed his head respectfully and reported, "My Lord, I have prepared a ginseng soup. If the princess takes it, it will surely help her regain her strength."
"The princess's pulse is now stabilizing. She will probably wake up in another half hour."
Shen Yuhan's eyes suddenly lit up and he took the bowl of medicine.
He personally walked to Fang Qingyue's bedside, gently lifted her back, and fed the medicine into her mouth bit by bit.
The medicine slowly slid into her throat. Fang Qingyue frowned slightly, as if instinctively feeling the bitter taste.
"Qingyue, drink it."
Shen Yuhan whispered softly, with a gentle tone that could not be refused.
After feeding Fang Qingyue the medicinal soup, Shen Yuhan carefully put her back on the bed.
He waited quietly, his fingers still tightly holding Fang Qingyue's hand.
He believed that she would wake up. She had experienced so much suffering and would never collapse at this time.
Fang Chiyue also stood aside, waiting silently.
She placed her hand gently on her sister's wrist, feeling the beating of her pulse.
Shen Yuhan sat beside Fang Qingyue's bed, staring intently at her slightly heaving chest.
The imperial physician's words still echoed in his ears: "In another half an hour, the princess will wake up."
His heart was filled with anticipation, and every minute and every second seemed like a torture.
He lowered his head from time to time and held Fang Qingyue's hand tightly, as if this could make her wake up faster.
The atmosphere in the room was so depressing that it made people breathless. The sound of wind from outside the window occasionally came in, but it failed to ease Shen Yuhan's anxiety.
The imperial doctors stood in a row, looking nervous and uneasy.
Shen Yuhan's anger was already obvious. They didn't dare to speak loudly, and even deliberately lowered their breathing.
As time passed, Fang Qingyue's eyes remained closed.
His face was still pale, and there was no sign of waking up.
Shen Yuhan's patience was almost broken, and he frowned tightly.
He glanced coldly at the imperial doctors, anger gradually growing in his eyes.
"Half an hour has passed!"
He suddenly stood up and said in a low voice, "Why hasn't she woken up yet?"
Several imperial doctors were frightened by his anger and trembled all over. They immediately fell to the ground with cold sweat on their foreheads.
The elder imperial physician trembled and quickly bowed his head to beg for mercy: "Lord, please calm down! The princess is exhausted. We have done our best, but the princess needs time to recover..."
"All the tonic medicines are prepared according to the best prescriptions. Please be more patient, my Lord..."
Shen Yuhan's face was as cold as iron and his fists were clenched.
His knuckles turned white, and it was obvious that he had reached the limit of his endurance.
He has always been calm and composed, but now that Fang Qingyue has not woken up yet, his anxiety is almost uncontrollable.
He slammed his hand on the table, making a dull sound, which frightened the imperial doctors even more.
"If anything happens to her, I won't let you go!"
Shen Yuhan's voice was as cold as an ice blade, and his tone was filled with uncontrollable anger.
The imperial doctors had already fallen to their knees in fear, not daring to look up. They just kept knelt and begged for mercy: "My Lord, spare my life, my Lord, please calm down!"
"I and others have tried our best..."
Just as the atmosphere in the room became tense, a faint moan was heard from the bed.
Shen Yuhan suddenly stopped scolding and turned back to look at Fang Qingyue.
I saw her eyelashes trembling slightly, and her tightly closed eyelids seemed to be struggling to open.
His lips opened and closed slightly, and he uttered an inaudible sound: "Yuhan..."
This weak call was like a thunder exploding in Shen Yuhan's ears.
His anger instantly turned into surprise and he quickly turned and walked to the bed.
Holding Fang Qingyue's hand tightly, he leaned over and called softly, "Qingyue, I'm here, I'm here."
Fang Qingyue's eyes slowly opened, her gaze still a little hazy.
Her vision was blurry, but she could feel Shen Yuhan was beside her.
She raised her hand with difficulty, and her fingertips touched Shen Yuhan's sleeve, as if this little contact could bring her endless peace of mind.
"Yuhan...it hurts..."
Fang Qingyue's voice was so weak that it was almost inaudible.
Her lips were chapped, and it was obvious that she had not yet fully recovered from the pain.
"Qingyue, I'm here, don't be afraid, I will always be with you."
Shen Yuhan whispered comforting words, gently leaned closer, with affection in his eyes.
Fang Qingyue felt his warmth, closed her eyes slightly, and let out a long breath.
Although the pain in her body still came like a tide, the peace of mind in her heart gave her some relief.
Her fingers were still tightly gripping Shen Yuhan's sleeves, as if she was afraid that he would leave.
"The kids...are they...okay?"
She asked weakly, her voice so hoarse it was almost inaudible.
Shen Yuhan was stunned for a moment, then smiled slightly, her tone gentle and comforting: "The children are fine, they are healthy twins, a boy and a girl."
He gently stroked Fang Qingyue's cheek and continued, "Don't worry, the nanny is taking care of them. When you recover better, I will bring them over to see you."
When Fang Qingyue heard this, tears welled up in the corners of her eyes.
She struggled to raise her hands, but she had no strength and could only nod slightly: "I... want to see them."
Shen Yuhan gently wiped away the tears from her eyes and comforted her softly, "Okay, I'll have someone bring the child over right away."
He turned around and whispered to the door, "Have the nanny bring the child in."
