Wei Wei turned around in surprise: "Is Madam Wei coming with us too?"
Madam Wei smiled and shook her head: "I won't go. I'm keeping you here just to ask if you'll be attending Master Lu's mother's 60th birthday celebration in seven days?"
Wei Wei was stunned, not understanding what she meant.
Master Lu was quite influential in Loucheng, so he should have sent an invitation to the Meng family.
However, because so many things have happened to the Meng family recently, even if they send gifts but don't actually go, others can't really say anything.
Hearing Madam Wei's question, she hesitated for a moment before agreeing.

After the officials around him finished reading out all the charges, Yao Zidian looked at the sky and pulled out the fire warrant from the pen holder on the table.
"Execute them!"
At a command, the fire token was thrown to the ground.
The tall, burly executioner took a big gulp of strong liquor and then spat it all onto the large knife in his hand.
The officials restrained Prefect Liu, and the executioner's blade was already raised.
What follows is bound to be very bloody.
Wei Wei dared not look any longer and turned her head away with her two maids. All she could hear was the sudden increase in the sound of Prefect Liu's family weeping, followed by the sound of heads falling to the ground on the stage.
Prefect Liu's life has come to an end.
I just hope he can be a good person in his next life and not make the same mistakes again.
Wei Wei stood silently for a while before leading Xiao Yue'er and Xiao Qiao'er back.
Halfway there, she remembered that she had promised Jiang Yu yesterday that she would spend more time with Prime Minister Gu's grandson these next few days.
So he led his men to Osmanthus Lane.
There weren't many people living in Osmanthus Lane, but they were all fairly well-off.
They don't like to move around as much as people in other alleys.

In just one night, the two of them became acquainted.
She then thought of the child and her mother traveling from the capital to Loucheng.
Given that woman's abilities, it will probably take at least seven days.
This was even with a carriage available for her.
She asked him last night if that was her mother.
How did the child answer?
It was as if he had seen someone who terrified him so much that he didn't even want to look at them!
