The gap under the stroller was enough to keep her entire body from being exposed.
However, she could clearly see the fight taking place in front of her through a gap only a finger's width wide.
With more than a dozen experts surrounding two people, it's naturally foolproof.
They have even blocked all escape routes for those two people, intending to wear them down here!
The flashing swords and the flickering blades caused the lanterns hanging in the trees to sway violently.
One of the men being attacked, dressed in a dark blue brocade robe, turned to the side to dodge, which in turn exposed his face to Wei Wei.
Her pupils contracted, and her breathing quickened.
This man was none other than the long-lost Third Prince Jiang Luan!
He actually appeared on the street and was surrounded and attacked, his life hanging by a thread!
The composure and calmness that used to be on his face were gone.
The relentless assassinations forced him to focus all his energy on evading them.
His attendants were also trying their best to stall these people and get him to leave. But how could a foolproof plan allow them to easily achieve their goal?
Jiang Luan is not only unable to extricate herself, but is also in increasing danger.
They were exhausted and had wounds on their bodies.
At first, it was just one cut, then two or three.
All of Jiang Luan's composure vanished, and he shouted angrily, "Who sent you? Don't you know who I am?"
But no one answered him, and Jiang Luan's fear grew stronger.
"Do you dare to do it but not admit it?"
He shouted, "If you want me dead, you'd better give me an explanation!"
One of the burly men who had been staring at him suddenly chuckled and said, "We are people of the Su Shou Tang, and we don't change our names or surnames!"
"Your life has been bought, so we're obligated to help others avoid trouble after we've been paid!"
"Su Shou Tang!"
Jiang Luan's voice was slightly harsh: "You second-rate scoundrels from the martial world dare to gang up on this prince? Aren't you afraid that the imperial court will wipe out your entire organization?"
He spoke again, panting heavily: "If you release me this time, I'll double whatever amount of silver others offer! And I won't pursue this matter against you!"
The burly man laughed again: "There are rules in the martial world, and my Su Shou Tang will not be a villain who double-crosses others."
"Third Prince, if you die by our hand today, you can only blame your bad luck."
After he finished speaking, the speed at which he and the others attacked him intensified once again.
Jiang Luan had no choice but to retaliate in an increasingly disheveled manner.
Unfortunately, he had exhausted his strength, and after being slashed hard in the back by the big man again, he finally collapsed to the ground in despair.
After the attendant beside him cried out "Master" in anguish, he too was slashed on the neck and died on the spot.
The burly man and the others sheathed their swords, surrounded the two motionless figures, and then spat fiercely at Jiang Luan.
"I didn't realize he was so skilled. If there hadn't been more of us, he really would have gotten away."
After saying that, he stepped forward with his knife, ready to deliver the final blow to Jiang Luan.
But at this critical moment, he raised his head warily and looked directly at the stall not far away!
It was quiet and still there, but his intuition told him that someone must be hiding inside!
They were quite bold, as they didn't leave.
His gaze darted around a few times, but he didn't immediately go forward to check. Instead, he continued with what he was doing.
Beneath the stall, Wei Wei had already clutched her wildly beating heart in utter horror.
She dared not look outside anymore, and roughly knew that she had been discovered.
His face was deathly pale, and cold sweat poured down his face incessantly.
If those people really come to check, she will definitely not survive!
Could it be that I am really going to die?
Seeing her greatest enemy die by someone else's knife, before she could even feel joy, she was discovered by these ruthless killers.
Is this what they mean by great joy followed by great sorrow?
Her mind raced, and she finally remembered the name the burly man had just given.
Su Shou Tang.
What a familiar name! In her heart, these three words held no bloodshed, but rather an extraordinary sense of closeness.
If she reveals her relationship with Young Master Wang, might she save her life?
Leng Pusheng is nowhere to be found. Will he be able to come and stop these people in time?
Wei Wei kept thinking about it, but the strangeness seemed to be getting worse.
If the people of Su Shou Tang really wanted to kill Jiang Luan, why did they have to wait until the capital? Wouldn't it have been more convenient when they were in Lou City?
Perhaps it was to frame someone.
That person's goal was to eliminate Jiang Luan without being affected.
And among all the martial arts world, only Su Shou Tang has the ability to accomplish this.
What a clever move to shift the blame eastward.
Wei Wei figured out these mysteries in her heart, and inexplicably felt a little relieved.
By this time, the big man had already killed Jiang Luan, and everyone around had fled.
The only person who can prove that Su Shou Tang killed the Third Prince is probably himself.
There's a high chance these people will let you off the hook.
After all, a survivor like her would die sooner or later anyway, so it would be more worthwhile to reveal what she heard and saw and then be killed in the emperor's rage.
Having figured all this out, Wei Wei couldn't help but curl the corners of her lips in a sarcastic smile.
