Upon hearing this, Jiang Changhe's body trembled uncontrollably.
As if recalling what she had done in Loucheng, she spoke with a trembling smile: "I was ignorant before, but you retaliated, didn't you?"
"If you let me go, we'll be even from now on, and we'll never cross paths again, okay?"
Wei Wei sighed, her eyes filled with pity: "Princess Changhe, you should think about it, what merit do I have to be able to capture you?"
"You still don't know who arrested you, do you?"
A smile played on her lips, a sarcastic smile that made Jiang Changhe's eyes widen involuntarily.
"It's Jiang Changting!"
Her voice was hoarse, filled with terror.
I was terrified when she grabbed my throat that day. Now that I'm in her hands, how can I possibly survive?
She gripped Wei Wei's sleeve tightly, pleading, "Please save me...please save me...I know I was wrong, I shouldn't have plotted against her Young Master Du..."
At this point, she could no longer hold back and burst into tears.
Perhaps the thing she regrets most in her life is provoking that half-sister who seems like a pushover but is actually tougher than iron.
Wei Wei didn't say anything, she just stared at her coldly.
How can someone who is so selfish and unscrupulous in achieving their goals deserve to be saved?
Seeing that Wei Wei remained unmoved, Jiang Changhe began to make threats: "If you don't let me out, I will make sure you don't live a single day longer in the city when I have the chance to get out in the future!"
Wei Wei almost laughed.
This woman is a piece of rotten mud.
Yet it also carries an immense sense of pity.
Such a privileged young woman probably never imagined that such a day would come.
They lock people up like dogs, making it impossible for them to even take a single step.
Wei Wei's hatred for her seemed to have suddenly diminished considerably.
She finally asked the question that had been nagging at her: "How much of your affection for Meng Zhixuan is genuine?"
When Jiang Changhe suddenly heard her mention this person, his grief and indignation abruptly stopped, and when he looked at Wei Wei, a hint of secret smugness appeared in his eyes.
"You're talking about your husband, aren't you?" She chuckled. "How about it? Not only does your husband dislike you, but he also thinks about killing you all the time. Doesn't that make you feel terrible?"
"Let me tell you, if you don't save me, he'll definitely avenge me when he finds out!"
"He loves me to the bone, so much so that even if I asked him to eat shit, he would do it willingly!"
She glared at Wei Wei with her eyes wide open: "If you let me go, I can plead for him and ask him to treat you like a wife, okay?"
Wei Wei smiled and said, "In that case, I should actually thank you."
She seemed to have already grasped Wei Wei's weakness: "No need for thanks. As long as you are obedient in the future, I will certainly not treat you unfairly."
Wei Wei stood up from her seat and extended her hand to Jiang Changhe.
She had initially thought the woman was there to help her up, but instead, she saw the woman gently touch her face, her voice tinged with a smile: "It turns out that Princess Changhe can be so adorable when she's being innocent."
After saying that, she chuckled softly, then lowered her head and whispered in her ear, "But it's a pity, I wonder if that beast Meng Zhixuan is now a skeleton in some river."
"After all, some fish are carnivorous."
Wei Wei's words seemed to come from hell, a chilling aura relentlessly seeping into Jiang Changhe's body, causing her to scream in agony, her entire body almost collapsing.
She was always wrong before!
Why is this happening?
Seeing that Jiang Changhe was acting strangely, Wei Wei put her hands inside her sleeves.
She looked down at the trembling person, a slight smile playing on her lips: "That's fine then. I'm still looking forward to seeing you next time."
After saying that, he turned and left with Xiaoyue.
They happened to run into Jiang Changting as he came in.
"Why are you leaving so soon?"
She asked with a smile.
Wei Wei said, "Princess Changhe is easily frightened, so let's keep her for you to play with."
Jiang Changting was quite interested after hearing this: "Oh? How did you scare her?"
Wei Wei said, "I only mentioned some past events that she didn't know... If the princess is interested, we can talk about it more later when we have time."
I'll be leaving now.
Jiang Changting smiled and nodded, not trying to keep her any longer.
Wei Wei led her people out of the courtyard without incident.
As I walked out of the alley, I saw many officials knocking on doors and asking questions.
That made it clear they were looking for someone.
Wei Wei paused, then looked at Xiao Yue'er: "I'll wait for you at the teahouse up ahead. Go and remind her."
Xiaoyue immediately agreed and turned to go back into the alley.
Wei Wei hadn't walked more than a few steps when she saw Yu Qian coming this way.
He had probably just come from the palace; he was wearing a cloak over his shoulders, revealing the official robes of a second-rank official underneath, which made him look even more handsome.
There are very few officials like him who have risen to the position of Minister at such a young age.
This also shows how much the emperor valued him.
They were both stunned, probably because they hadn't expected to meet.
Wei Wei found it troublesome to listen to his nagging and nitpicking, simply because she looked like his married fiancée.
Thinking about it now, it seems utterly absurd.
Yu Qian, however, never expected to run into him again in the capital.
