Just open it like that. Since the person is already unconscious, how would they know that they have seen his true face?
Jiang Yu, however, quickly grabbed her hand again, his voice carrying a hint of something else: "Do you really want to see?"
He asked her.
The gleam in his eyes was an unfathomable depth.
Wei Wei felt his undisguised gaze, suppressed the inexplicable pounding in her heart, and replied with a serious expression, "How did it go? I just wanted to save your life."
"I know."
Jiang Yu's voice was somewhat muffled, and he couldn't help but give a wry smile at the end: "I was afraid you would regret taking the mask."
Wei Wei frowned slightly as she listened to his inexplicable words: "Are you that ugly?"
"No, that's not it."
She smiled and said, "Since that's not the case, you can rest assured."
"Besides, I'm not one to judge people by their appearance, so naturally I have no complaints about you."
Jiang Yu's hand did not loosen.
Feeling the soft hand in his palm, his voice became a little hoarse.
"Do you promise you won't dislike me?"
These words sounded incredibly aggrieved, and the voice became increasingly familiar.
He was clearly thinking about how Wei Wei's expression suddenly changed today, and how she abandoned him at someone else's doorstep without a care.
Wei Wei's gaze slowly changed, becoming strange and out of control.
Finally, it landed on his tall and thin frame.
If you ignore their clothing, his height is almost exactly the same as the other person's.
Wei Wei had never thought that way, but she never imagined that two people with different personalities could suddenly become the same person.
As expected, she fell silent.
Jiang Yu's eyes also dimmed slightly.
The next moment, he felt a cool sensation on his face as a delicate hand removed his mask.
That face, as white as paper, was then revealed.
Even though his face looked terrible, it did not diminish his appearance in the slightest.
Now, he is showing an unusual vulnerability.
Wei Wei's voice, tinged with laughter, entered his ears: "What time is it now, and you're still arguing with me?"
Her tone was calm: "Don't delay, tell me quickly what to do?"
After saying that, he went about tidying up the things he had prepared again.
Jiang Yu was shaken, his complex gaze fixed on her.
Although she appeared normal on the surface, she had actually lost all sense of reason.
She didn't look up again, but instead looked around to the left and right.
He sighed inwardly. Although he had acted very well, his eyes were ultimately too sharp.
I can't even deceive myself.
Suddenly a glint flashed in his eyes, then his brows furrowed, and he took a long breath, looking uneasy.
Wei Wei's previously absent-minded expression changed immediately. She rushed forward anxiously, staring at him with wide eyes and asking, "What's wrong? Is your wound acting up again?"
Seeing that she was still so worried about him, Jiang Yu finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Fortunately, it hasn't reached the point of no return.
His body relaxed, and he felt drowsy.
Struggling to stay alert, he looked at her and said, word by word, "Heat the knife with a fire, then come and remove the arrowhead."
Wei Wei thought she had misheard.
Her eyes were wide open, completely unable to believe it.
"Is this the solution you were talking about?"
Jiang Yu smiled and said, "Not bad."
He made the woman in front of him so angry that she ground her molars.
She wanted to tell him he was being ridiculous, that if he really dug it up like that, wouldn't he be in excruciating pain?
Jiang Yu exhaled from his throat: "Even if we bring Leng Pusheng over, it will only be this one method."
His handsome peach blossom eyes were half-closed as he coaxed her gently, "As long as you move quickly, I won't be in pain for too long."
"If I don't do this, I will suffer more."
When Wei Wei saw that his face was turning slightly pale, she knew he wasn't lying to her.
She could only bite her lip hard and whisper, "Then hang in there a little longer. Tell me if it hurts too much. Don't fall asleep."
"Um."
He obediently agreed.
Then he silently slumped in his chair, watching Wei Wei take the knife and start grilling.
His every word and action was taken with utmost seriousness, which made him extremely happy.
When the dagger became too hot to handle, she took a deep breath and stepped forward: "You have to be patient, I'm going to do it now."
Her hands were trembling, but she quickly regained her composure.
A look of reluctance and heartache flashed in Jiang Yu's eyes. He nodded without saying a word.
When the blood-stained arrow was removed, both men's foreheads were covered in a thick layer of sweat.
A large amount of blood gushed from the wound, causing Wei Wei to lose her composure.
"Little Yue'er!" she cried out in a panic, "Quickly apply the medicine to Young Master Wang!"
She was exhausted and afraid that she would spill the medicine because of her nervousness.
Fortunately, Xiaoyue'er has returned.
Suppressing all her surprise and doubt, she immediately took the medicine powder from the table and poured it onto the wound.
They didn't stop until they had applied all the wound medicine from several bottles at once.
While she was there, Wei Wei took a clean white nightgown that she had torn into strips and used it to bandage his wound layer by layer.
After finally finishing, she discovered that Jiang Yu had fallen asleep at some point.
Or perhaps she fainted.
Her heart was clenching; she called out softly twice, but there was no response.
She can't afford to make a rash decision.
He could only suppress his unease and make arrangements for what to do next.
"I remember Meng Zhixuan still has some clothes in the side room. Xiao Yue'er, go find a new set and bring them over."
After seeing Jiang Yu's true appearance, Xiao Yue'er's hostility lessened considerably. Hearing her young mistress speak, she suppressed her panic and immediately turned to do as she was told.
