Zhou Ping is now regretting why he brought Shang Yan out.
I should have locked him up at home.
It's not about possessiveness, it's just that I don't want to lose face.
He lowered his hands from his face and bent down to lift Shang Yan up.
But they were blocked; a vibrant young girl stood in front of him and the little fox.
"Are you its owner? It's in this state... and you still take it out? Did you hit it?" the girl questioned the tall young man in front of her very directly.
Zhou Ping:......
Shang Yan had already gotten up by this time, and even ran around the two of them twice with all four limbs intact.
“He wasn’t hurt…” Zhou Ping wished he could disappear into the ground. He explained weakly, “If he crossed the road like that, someone would let him pass.”
girl:……
Looking at the little fox with all four limbs intact, the girl's face turned bright red. It turned out she had been faking it all along!
She was speechless for a moment, "Well, it's quite intelligent..."
"Hmm," Zhou Ping bent down and picked up the little fox.
Yesterday it was still a human being, more than just somewhat human.
Shang Yan snuggled into Zhou Ping's arms and rubbed against him. When he noticed the girl's gaze, he smiled at her, his emerald beast eyes like a pool of spring water.
When the girl saw those emerald eyes, she was taken aback. They were such unique eyes; she had never seen them before. What color are fox eyes, anyway?
"Sorry, I have something to do." Zhou Ping silently hugged Shang Yan tightly and led him toward the clothing store not far away.
"Hey...wait!" the girl caught up with him. "It's so pretty, can you sell it to me?"
"I'll pay any price, just name your price..."
It's so cute! This fluffy white ball of fur captivated the girl at first glance.
Zhou Ping frowned slightly, and he tucked the little fox deeper into his arms. "Not for sale."
He quickened his pace, his refusal firm: "No matter the price, I won't sell."
"Ah, okay," the girl said, walking away somewhat disappointed.
After she left, Shang Yan whispered, "See? Isn't my method an easy way to cross the road, with no obstacles along the way!"
Zhou Ping:......
He smiled indulgently yet helplessly, and the next moment he tightly gripped the little fox's front paws and lifted him in front of him. "Yes, yes, we'll be crossing the road soon."
"But have you ever considered what would have happened if those vehicles hadn't stopped?"
"What will you do? What should I do?" His dark eyes were deep, his expression turned serious, and his words became heavier. "Shang Yan, this is very dangerous, do you know that?"
Seeing that Zhou Ping was angry, Shang Yan lowered his head meekly, not daring to look at him at all. "That didn't happen, and I'm not really crippled..."
Seeing that Shang Yan was still being stubborn, Zhou Ping unconsciously tightened his grip on his hand. "Can you guarantee that you'll be alright?"
"I'll be fine, you know I'm very lucky." Shang Yan nuzzled his hand ingratiatingly, her tail wagging behind her.
Hearing this, Zhou Ping fell silent, which was uncharacteristic of him.
His voice was muffled and deep as he carried Shang Yan into a clothing store without saying a word.
Just as Shang Yan peeked into the store looking at the clothes, he finally spoke, "Shang Yan, I'm worried about you."
Upon hearing this, Shang Yan's ears twitched, and he obediently replied, "I won't do such a thing again, so don't worry!"
"Okay." Fortunately, Shang Yan was very obedient, otherwise he really wouldn't know what to do with him.
After looking at clothes for a while, Zhou Ping really couldn't find any pants that Shang Yan could wear... Shang Yan had too many tails, and even if he managed to wear them, they would burst.
He remained silent for a moment, then his gaze slowly drifted to the women's clothing rack beside him.
Shang Yan saw him slowly stroll to the women's clothing section and happily pointed to the colorful hairbands on the shelf next to him.
“Those hairbands are pretty, let’s buy a few more?” He struggled for a moment, then ran to the shelf and grabbed several brightly colored ones.
Bright yellow, dark purple, and black...
“Your hair is short, so you should…” Zhou Ping hesitated, but seeing how happy Shang Yan was, he didn’t say anything more. He just kept picking up the hairband that Shang Yan was pointing to and holding it in his hand.
In one swift motion, he took more than a dozen items.
Seeing that it was about time, Shang Yan stopped.
"I don't need it, I'll use it to braid your hair!" Zhou Ping's hair was just long enough to be braided into a small braid.
Looking at the gaudy hairbands in his hand, Zhou Ping suddenly wanted to put these hot potatoes back where they belonged.
But then she thought that Shang Yan had gone to great lengths to choose these, so she gripped the hairband tightly and loosely, struggling internally for a while. When Shang Yan wasn't looking, she put the bright red hairband with tiny rhinestones back, but held onto the others tightly.
"Shangyan, can you wear these?" At this moment, Shangyan had already run onto Zhou Ping's shoulder, and Zhou Ping turned his head to ask him.
"Huh? I'm not picky, I can wear anything," Shang Yan replied casually when he heard Zhou Ping's question, as he was lost in thought.
Zhou Ping let out a soft breath. That made things easier. He reached out to pick out a dress from the shelf.
He didn't want anything too short, as it would expose his tail; nor did he want anything too tight, as it wouldn't fit his tail... After searching for a while, he took out two loose-fitting long dresses with lace trim on the hem.
Both of these were regular size L. Zhou Ping touched the fabric at the waist of the skirt, nodded, and then shook his head.
The clothing store was large, and the shop assistants, seeing that Zhou Ping was silent and looking around by himself, guessed that the young man was probably alone, so they didn't approach him.
Just then, seeing him browse the women's clothing section and even nod, a sales assistant came over and asked, "Have you taken a liking to any of these dresses?"
“Hmm.” Zhou Ping nodded slightly, holding the dress, and then asked somewhat awkwardly, “Do you have any larger sizes? Preferably XXXL, since he’s a bit taller and these two wouldn’t be suitable.”
This was the first time Zhou Ping had ever spoken such a long sentence, and Shang Yan, who was playing with his hairband, turned his head to look at him.
I happened to see the two dresses he was holding.
Shang Yan: ?
Why am I buying this dress? Who is it for?
Did Zhou Ping have an affair behind his back? Why did he buy a women's dress?
The little fox, with its slow-witted mind, thought it over and over, and finally decided to remain still.
I'm out now, but I'll definitely have to get an explanation from him when I get back!
Shang Yan's tail twitched uneasily, and he was on edge.
"Yes, I'll go find it for you right away," the shop assistant said, glancing at the two dresses before turning to search the other side.
After she walked away, Shang Yan snorted.
"You're seeing someone else, so who's wearing these clothes for?"
