The supplies that were originally in the car were all replaced with boxes of "healing water". Bai Jingkong had previously taken out a few bottles from the car in front of them and tested them. Indeed, ordinary people who had just been infected with the virus could recover their health within 2 hours by injecting the water.
Chen Zhe now suspects there's something wrong with the "healing water" and can't afford to cause any trouble for the time being. He also has the "virus vaccine" he brought back from the Dawn Base, so he plans to leave the base and find a zombie to test it on himself.
"Lord of the City." The people from P Base who were leaning against the truck immediately greeted Chen Zhe respectfully.
Chen Zhe nodded and ordered them to open the warehouse. He didn't pick the outermost box, but opened one of the innermost boxes.
Just as he pulled it out, a huge explosion suddenly came from outside, and the whole ground shook.
Chen Zhe immediately sensed something was wrong. As he jumped out of the car, he saw a raging fire burning at the main gate of District 1.
Upon receiving the news, the people at P Base cried out urgently, "Lord, something terrible has happened! The people in District 3 of K Base have rioted!"
Bai Jingkong was still in her boudoir when the alarm sounded.
Even though Guo Ruier is there, how could a man complain about having too many women? Especially since some bases even bring in beautiful women to exchange for "healing water".
In their eyes, these women were commodities, not human beings.
These women had already been sold several times and had long given up struggling. Some of them even clung to Bai Jingkong when they saw her. The living room lights were flashing, the music was loud, and there was a strange smell in the air. Although Guo Ruier felt extremely jealous, she could only force a smile.
Until a piercing alarm shattered the sky.
Bai Jingkong pushed away the beautiful woman who was clinging to her and nervously walked to the window.
Since Xia Yixin's last visit, he has strengthened the base's alarm system, which will be activated immediately in case of any problem.
Bai Jingkong immediately sensed that something was wrong, but on the surface he remained calm and said to everyone, "This is a minor problem, I'll take care of it. You can continue. K Base is absolutely safe. Ruier, you stay and entertain the guests."
Without waiting for Guo Ruier's reply, Bai Jingkong quickly led her people away from the villa.
Although the representatives from other bases had drunk quite a bit, they were quick to sense the danger and immediately put on their clothes. Shortly after Bai Jingkong left, they also led their men towards the location of their base's truck.
What a joke! They paid for these "healing potions," how could they possibly let those rioters from District Three steal them?!
When the people from the other three bases arrived at their base's trucks, they found that the people from P base had already arrived. They didn't show it on their faces, but in their hearts they were all cursing Chen Zhe as an "old fox".
Just as they were urgently urging the driver to start the car, the rumbling sound of a vehicle approached from afar. In the darkness, the first thing to appear was a headlight, indicating a large box truck that was coming from the warehouse of Base K.
Then came the second, the third, a total of ten large trucks, which drove past the three base convoys and rushed toward the gate leading directly out of Zone 1.
Surprisingly, not a single member of the K base's security detail came out to stop them amidst the rumbling of the vehicles.
"What are you all standing there for? Drive! Even the K base has fled, what are we waiting for!" The first to react was the representative of the H base. He shouted, and the driver immediately stepped on the gas. The H base convoy chased after the large convoy and headed out of the K base.
Other bases followed suit.
Although Chen Zhe now suspects that there is something wrong with the "healing water", he does not have time to verify it. With the K base in turmoil, the wisest choice is to leave first.
P Base also dispatched three large trucks to follow them. Along the way, they could see residents of K Base fleeing in their vehicles, most of whom were from District 1. Staying in K Base was tantamount to waiting to die; neither third-class citizens nor zombies would spare them.
Along the way, the wind howled and the temperature dropped to minus forty degrees Celsius, freezing water instantly. Gradually, the dozen or so large trucks in front rushed out of the gate of K Base and quickly disappeared into the darkness at an astonishing speed. Chen Zhe's keen intuition sensed that something was wrong. The people driving these trucks were all high-level ability users. Now that the riots in the third district had just passed, how could Bai Jingkong possibly spare people to move goods here, and where were they moving them to?
However, the entire convoy suddenly stopped near the gate of Zone 2.
Several fleeing cars collided at the main gate, blocking it. The K base's security personnel had already been eliminated by someone, and the entire K base was now in chaos. More and more cars were pouring in, completely blocking the road, and the sound of car horns was deafening.
Chen Zhe jumped out of the car and immediately joined the other three base lords in using their supernatural abilities to clear the road. No one wanted to be blocked at K base, as there were still gunshots of fierce fighting behind them.
Just as the people from the Third Base were trying to drive away, Bai Jingkong, though having received the news, had no time to spare.
When he arrived at the point of conflict, the third-class residents had already broken through the gate of the second district, and the guards had only temporarily blocked the gate of the first district with wrecked vehicles and other items.
The guards and the superhuman squad opened fire at full force, and the submachine guns on the wall spat fire incessantly.
Bullet casings fell like snowflakes.
But these third-class citizens still rushed out of the darkness as if they had gone mad.
Every third-class citizen who fell was dark-skinned and thin, with anger and madness in their eyes.
Because the base's supplies were running low, and the "energy blocks" they were given were reduced to one per day, it was simply not enough to feed these people.
