When Xia Yixin woke up, she was still dizzy and lightheaded, with some aftereffects of the fever. In the latter half of the night, she caught a chill and her fever worsened than Lu Yan's.
She was about to move when she was pushed back onto the "bed".
"Lie down for a bit, I'll go get you some food, we'll be in China soon."
As the familiar, deep voice faded, her stomach rumbled twice in response. The man then chuckled, rubbed her bewildered head, and left with a "Wait here" before unbuckling his seatbelt and getting out of his seat.
It wasn't until Lu Yan's figure disappeared from the cabin area that she realized, a beat later, that this was Xia's private jet.
Wait, she clearly remembers being in an abandoned factory last night, how did she suddenly end up on an airplane?
She lifted the blanket and found that her clothes were still from yesterday, a little dirty, but at least they reminded her that those memories were real. Her limbs and joints were still a little sore, which she guessed might be a side effect of the "power pill" she had taken yesterday.
She asked the system, but it knew nothing about her questions, only reminding her that "various chain reactions may occur during the merging of the two worlds. The host should focus on the main quest and leave immediately after completing it, otherwise problems will arise!"
Xia's private jet is stable and comfortable, including a bar, restaurant, and even four lounges equipped with toilets and showers. The lounges are fully equipped with TVs, massage chairs, and audio-visual equipment. They are also extremely soundproof. The beds are two modern pieces of equipment side by side that can be used for sitting or lying down. If it weren't for the various types of seat belts and safety handles that are everywhere, you would think it was a standard hotel room on the ground.
It takes at least 8 hours to get back to China from country A, and we're already more than halfway there.
She found her new clothes in the closet of the lounge, went to the adjoining restroom to take care of personal matters, washed up, and changed.
As soon as I unlocked the door with my fingerprint, I was greeted by a soft, cuddly woman hugging me.
"Oh my god, he finally let you out," Li Rui complained.
"Huh?" She was a little confused. She had barely managed to save her arm and breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that Li Rui was alright. "I'm a little confused, Sister Hua, how did I get on the plane?"
Li Rui couldn't help but laugh at her dazed look and said, "Alright, with your appearance, I wouldn't be surprised if Lu Yan sold me out one day. Come on, let's go to the restaurant. You must be hungry. I'll tell you all about it there."
As she spoke, she pulled Xia Yixin to the restaurant. On the way, they ran into Lu Yan, who was carrying porridge and other dishes. Li Rui immediately pulled Xia Yixin behind her like a protective mother, almost saying, "She's mine!"
Lu Yan raised an eyebrow, his gaze remaining fixed on Xia Yixin.
Xia Yixin had a feeling that two good friends were at odds and were now trying to steal her away. She reached out and tugged at the man's tense arm. "Let's go to the restaurant together. I'm free."
The man finally relented and stepped aside, and Li Rui eagerly pulled Xia Yixin to the restaurant.
Lu Yan didn't come in the end. The porridge and side dishes he brought were delivered by Long Wu. Xia Yixin took the opportunity to ask about what Long Wu and the others encountered later.
Long Wu and his group had actually escaped from prison before Lu Yan's men arrived, and then went to the hospital with Bai Qi and the others to rescue Li Rui.
"What's the casualty situation?" Xia Yixin asked.
“They were just injured. Four out of ten people suffered minor injuries, and two were seriously injured. They all took an early flight back to China.” After Long Wu finished speaking, the tall man bowed ninety degrees. “I’m sorry, Miss Xia. It was Long Wu who failed to do a good job of security. I will accept whatever punishment Miss Xia may give me.”
Xia Yixin quickly jumped off her seat and pulled him up. "The key issue this time is that the opponent is too strong, and they gave us too little time to react. I suspect that Su Bei had already planned this since we arrived in Country A."
Li Rui slapped Long Wu's arm and chimed in, "That's right. This time, that fox Su was prepared in two ways. He even bribed the police in Country A. If we hadn't discovered the kidnappers in advance, we would probably have been in an even more passive position. Get up quickly."
Although Long Wu straightened up, he was still very remorseful. He secretly vowed that he would protect Xia Yixin even at the cost of his life. This was the life principle of the Xia Clan's Dragon Guards.
Long Wu left the restaurant to go out and guard, leaving only Li Rui and Xia Yixin in the restaurant. Li Rui also ordered a hamburger, so she decided to eat and chat with Xia Yixin.
It turns out that Li Rui learned from the conversation between the police and medical staff on her way to the hospital that they had just escaped one danger only to fall into another, and that there was a sentence in the conversation that "Mr. Su instructed that she must not leave the hospital."
At first, Li Rui couldn't believe that it was related to Su Bei, but when she tried to contact Xia Yixin, she was discovered by the guards. Seeing that their plan had failed, the guards were able to get the truth out of Li Rui in a few words. Although she didn't know it was related to the dark web, she confirmed that it was Su Bei who planned the series of events in order to kidnap Xia Yixin.
Later, Long Wu and Bai Qi rescued her at the hospital. On the way, she finally managed to contact Xia Yixin. They had arrived at the factory late last night to meet up with them, and then went to the military airport at dawn to take a plane. Su Bei and the others were delayed by something and only caught up with Xia Yixin at the airport.
At this point, Li Rui said proudly, "You should really praise me for this. I cleverly leaked the news of our attack in advance. There were a lot of reporters at the airport who arrived even earlier than Su Bei and the others. It's a real shame you didn't see the expression on that guy's face. Tsk tsk, what a waste of such a handsome face."
Even if Xia Yixin hadn't seen it, she could imagine that it was definitely worse than when she shot his gun away last night.
Li Rui took a bite of her hamburger, swallowed, and asked, "By the way, I still don't understand why Su Bei did this. Could he have gone mad from loving you so much? I can tell he likes you..."
