Hmm, where's my little merchant? Why isn't she here?
Oh, so this class is Fang Anmin's, not Teacher Yun's. This little girl is too scared to come over and sit next to me.
Thinking of this, Chen Bing raised her head again to look at Shang Yunmiao in front of her. Shang Yunmiao was listening attentively to Fang Anmin's lecture, her pen swishing obediently as she took notes.
Seeing this, Chen Bing decided not to bother her any further and obediently bent down to work on today's test paper.
Time flies when you're writing on a piece of paper. After Chen Bing finished writing the test paper smoothly and thoroughly reviewed the questions she got wrong, the afternoon classes came to the last short study session.
After looking out the window for a moment, Chen Bing took a sip of water to calm herself down.
After putting down the water glass, his gaze naturally fell on Shang Yunmiao's back in front of him.
The small, upright shoulders of the girl.
After a moment's thought, Chen Bing took out a small piece of paper and wrote some words on it in bold handwriting.
After pointing at Shang Yunmiao with the pen in her hand, Chen Bing handed the small note to Shang Yunmiao and gave her a mysterious look.
Seeing Chen Bing's gaze, Shang Yunmiao felt a little flustered.
Just say what you want to say directly, why pass a note? If you're going to pass a note, then pass a note, why look at me like that?
There must be something amazing in that note!
After making a reasonable guess, Shang Yunmiao looked around nervously.
In fact, her action only made things more difficult for herself, because whether she looked or not, it wouldn't change the fact that no one had noticed what was happening.
So even when Shang Yunmiao noticed that several people were casting curious glances at her and Chen Bing, she could only suppress her fear and brace herself to take the note.
After all, she was genuinely curious about what was written on the note.
Considering what happened a few hours ago, could it be Chen Bing's explanation of that matter? Or perhaps...
Slightly restraining her facial expression to prevent Wen Xin beside her from noticing anything amiss, Shang Yunmiao, filled with excitement, slowly unfolded the small note.
What are we eating later?
Shang Yunmiao didn't want to talk to Chen Bing anymore; he was a big bad guy.
...
After sulking for a while, Shang Yunmiao still gave her answer to the question on the note.
〖casual〗
A new mala tang (spicy hot pot) restaurant just opened near the school gate, let's go eat there.
Too hot
Same old story, let's go eat Crossing-the-Bridge Rice Noodles.
Tired of it?
"Then I'll eat you, I've never eaten you before."
Upon opening the note, Shang Yunmiao immediately lost her composure. She stared blankly at the words on the note for a while, hesitated for a long time, and then silently put the note into her pocket without any intention of replying.
She's almost fourteen this year, and with the internet booming, she understands perfectly well what "eating" means.
Without a doubt, Chen Bing was being indecent, and this little note is the evidence.
Realizing there was an opportunity, she decided to make good use of it.
Seeing that no new notes had arrived, Chen Bing became slightly nervous.
To be fair, he was an upright person. Although he would occasionally tease Shang Yunmiao, that was only a very rare occurrence.
This was the first time he had ever written down such a blatant act of teasing, leaving behind substantial evidence. He had only done so because he hadn't quite grasped the situation, and then he had given it to Shang Yunmiao.
Now, he feels a sense of lingering fear.
Chen Bing gently poked Xiao Shang on the back, trying to get his attention.
Unfortunately, she did not respond.
Suppressing her anxiety, Chen Bing waited until the self-study session ended and her classmates went to eat one after another before tentatively approaching Shang Yunmiao.
What do you want to eat?
Xiao Shang... no, Master Shang put down the pen he was holding and slowly looked up at Xiao Chen.
"Luosifen" (river snail rice noodles).
"Understood!"
Chen Bing naively assumed that Shang Yunmiao's mood would improve after enjoying a good meal, and that he would stop pursuing his flirtatious behavior. Little did he know, he had been easily manipulated.
"I have two questions I don't know how to answer."
"I'll teach you, I'll teach you."
I'm thirsty.
"Give it to me. Give it to me."
"I can't open the cup."
"I'll do it, I'll do it."
Just as Chen Bing unscrewed the cup, Shang Yunmiao lightly patted his arm twice and then made a shushing gesture. After that, she turned away without a second thought.
Chen Bing looked up towards the classroom door and saw a group of students who had finished dinner and rested enough in the dormitory walking into the classroom, chatting and laughing.
Chen Bing dared not speak out in anger, and all her words turned into a sigh. Then she obediently lowered her head and continued writing the exam paper.
On her way home that evening, after seeing the electric scooter had already left the school and was slowly moving along a deserted path, Shang Yunmiao wrapped her arms around Chen Bing's waist and pressed her face against it.
"Heh heh, heh heh."
The grotesque laughter of the small merchant added to the eerie atmosphere of this dark alley.
"You're doomed. You're going to have to tell your mom about this when you get home."
For some reason, Shang Yunmiao recalled all the ways Chen Bing had bullied her in the past and suddenly had the idea of playing a trick on her.
Of course, she wouldn't actually show the note Chen Bing was flirting with to her mother. She just wanted to scare him so that he would obediently submit to her and suffer a good humiliation.
"Aunt Xuan would never believe that. In her eyes, I have always been exceptionally upright."
"Hmph, your handwriting is on the note, Mom will recognize it right away."
Chen Bing thought that Xiao Shang's words made sense, so she changed her mind and said, "Even if she believes that I wrote it, she won't do anything to me."
"Then I'll show it to my dad."
Hearing this, Chen Bing panicked slightly. He could get away with just a few excuses about Teacher Yun, but he didn't have the guts to do that with Shang Zhengxin, the student nemesis.
Although I don't really believe that Shang Yunmiao would actually take that note out, I'm just afraid of the worst-case scenario.
To be on the safe side, I should probably back down... but that's impossible!
How can a real man keep giving in? This isn't even his wife yet, and he's already so accommodating to her. What will happen after they get married? What will become of his status in the family?
After thinking it over, Chen Bing decided to properly demonstrate her inviolable dignity.
The electric car slowly came to a stop. There was no one around. Chen Bing turned her head and looked at Shang Yunmiao with a firm gaze.
