I remember that around that time, Chen Bing received several love letters within a month or two, which made her quite unhappy for a while. Then one day, after finishing her morning exercises and returning to the classroom, she was pleasantly surprised to find a love letter on her desk, written by someone she didn't know.
She happily took it to Chen Bing to show off, only to have it ruthlessly torn up by the latter. However, in exchange, the love letters Chen Bing had received were all given to her.
And then... and then I think I did something stupid.
Shang Yunmiao blushed as she thought back to how, for some reason, whenever Chen Bing received a love letter from someone else, she would write one herself and then secretly give it to him.
Of course, whether it was given to her by someone else later or she secretly wrote it to Chen Bing herself, it was eventually handed over to her by Chen Bing.
I once counted them carefully, and including the ones I wrote, there were about seventeen or eighteen letters, all stored in a treasure box in her bedroom. I was thinking of taking them out together to show Chen Bing when we got married.
Hmm... Thinking back on it now, it's a little embarrassing. Why did I have to be so stubborn back then? It's obvious that what others wrote would eventually end up in my hands.
After reminiscing, Shang Yunmiao thought that she had written one before, so one more wouldn't make a difference. She leaned close to Chen Bing's ear and whispered a bargain: "Not only these, but if you want me to write one for you, you have to give me everything that others gave you before graduation."
This is equivalent to combining a bunch of R cards or even N cards into an SSR card. Chen Bing had no reason to refuse such a good thing, so he immediately nodded in agreement.
Seeing Chen Bing agree so readily, the cunning Shang Yunmiao immediately had the idea of adding a condition. So, she shamelessly added, "Also, you have to write me a letter too."
Tsk, little girl, you're dreaming! You even dare to add conditions. Do you know if this is a buyer's market or a seller's market? How dare you be so arrogant?
Not wanting to indulge her greed, Chen Bing immediately said that she could write it herself, but that would be at a different price.
Shang Yunmiao saw Chen Bing smiling maliciously, her expression clearly full of scheming.
Knowing full well that there were pitfalls she couldn't fall into, she suddenly remembered that of the five wishes they had made a promise to each other more than ten days ago, the other party had only fulfilled one.
So she said with a grin, "Then I'll use one of my five wishes to ask you to write me a letter."
No, how do you still remember this? I thought you'd forgotten.
Also, the reason I was so generous in giving you five wishes was because I thought your wishes were nothing more than kisses, hugs, and being lifted up high—just a little bit of romance between couples. I didn't expect you to take it seriously.
Helpless, Chen Bing had no choice but to agree. Then, a sudden inspiration struck her, and she suggested, "I suddenly feel that it's not so bad that you don't remove me from the list of dishonest people. Why don't you give me back the two wishes you just made?"
Shang Yunmiao raised her head warily and asked, "How do you intend to repay me?"
"It's simple, you can grant me two wishes as well." Master Chen smiled wickedly, clearly having already decided on his wishes.
Of course, he couldn't possibly ask Shang Yunmiao for something as childish as a kiss. What he wanted was something more mature and adult-like, something Shang Yunmiao would never normally grant.
The idea was good, but unfortunately it was destined to be just empty talk.
The wary Shang Yunmiao stated that terminating the contract would incur liability for breach of contract, the price of which would be non-refund of the money.
"We didn't mention this when we made the agreement, did we?" Chen Bing asked, pinching Xiao Shang's cheek with great dissatisfaction. He looked exactly like a thug collecting debts.
Shang Yunmiao tried to reason with Chen Bing and present the facts to address his dissatisfaction. Unfortunately, villains never buy into that. If the morning reading bell hadn't suddenly rung, signaling the start of the day's study time, Chen Bing might very well have resorted to force.
Putting their antics aside, the two straightened their attitudes, adjusted their mindsets, and began their morning reading and class seriously, as if everything that had just happened was an illusion.
This sense of disconnect was only somewhat relieved during the short break after lunch.
After returning to the classroom after lunch, Chen Bing continued the conversation and actions from the morning. While pinching Xiao Shang's cheek, she said fiercely, "You swindler, hurry up and give me back my wish, or I'll have to do it myself."
At this point, Chen Bing was still simply trying to interact with Xiao Shang and maybe get a couple of slaps out of her; he didn't really expect to take back his wish. After all, who would seriously argue with their wife?
Of course, if Xiao Shang, after seeing his aggressive demeanor, genuinely repents and agrees to grant him a wish, Chen Bing, out of goodwill, is willing to grant it.
Beneath this naivety tinged with wicked thoughts, Chen Bing unexpectedly reaped a pleasant surprise.
Under his own "coercion," the small merchant had no choice but to provide a solution.
"Well, how about this? For every wish you grant me, you can participate in a lottery. There's a 20% chance you'll win a wish."
Chen Bing stroked his chin, thinking that Xiao Shang was really not learning anything good, actually trying to learn marketing strategies from games.
"Then let me ask you, how does the lottery work?"
"Ugh... it's churning in my heart."
Okay, okay, so this is bad, huh? Whether you win or not is entirely up to you, isn't it?
Perhaps realizing that this was a bit too shameless, Xiao Shang added a temporary fix.
"If you don't win the first four times, you're guaranteed to win on the fifth."
"Oh? That's not bad." Chen Bing finally sensed some sincerity from Shang Yunmiao, but he still had questions to ask.
What if I don't get selected?
"If you didn't win, then thank you for your patronage." Shang Yunmiao smiled gently, looking slyly cute.
Her mischievous yet adorable demeanor made Chen Bing hard, hardening his fist.
He then began to haggle, strongly condemning the small business owner's attempt to get something for nothing.
Hmm... okay then.
Shang Yunmiao thought for a moment, then suddenly had a flash of inspiration and cleverly suggested, "If I don't win the grand prize, how about I reward you with a kiss?"
After she finished speaking, she suddenly felt a little shy, and was so embarrassed by her own words that her face slowly turned red.
On the other hand, the shameless Chen Bing felt no embarrassment at all; his face was filled with excitement.
Wow! Little Shang is quite the player.
Chen Bing was immediately pleasantly surprised. He wondered if this little girl had gone somewhere to learn something new, how did she suddenly become so knowledgeable?
Without any hesitation, Comrade Chen Bing nodded in agreement and immediately said, "Then I'll start the first lottery now."
"Huh? Now?"
"Okay, go ahead and smoke."
"Hmm... alright then. Don't blame me if you don't draw it." After finishing stacking the armor, Shang Yunmiao blushed and started mentally drawing a prize for Chen Bing.
