According to the usual practice of Shangping Experimental High School, the National Day holiday for first-year students is to be divided into separate holidays.
Students in regular classes and those in the second-highest level classes will have seven days off as required, while students in the top and special top-level classes will "voluntarily" have three days off due to their high level of self-discipline in their studies.
So while other students arrived at the classroom feeling down about the start of the semester, Chen Bing and his classmates had already spent four days at school.
With less than three days until the first monthly exam for the first-year high school students, everyone upstairs seems to still be immersed in the excitement of the holiday.

With a splash and a gasp from Shang Yunmiao, Chen Bing knew pretty much what had happened just by listening. He turned around and saw that Shang Yunmiao, the simpleton, had stepped into a deep puddle.
"When walking on a dark path with light after it has just rained, don't you know you should step in the darker areas of the path?" After saying this to Xiao Shang affectionately, Chen Bing came over and picked up Shang Yunmiao, who was still standing there in a daze and didn't know how to lift her foot.

Two or three classmates passing by couldn't hide their surprise when they saw this.
When Shang Yunmiao, one of the parties involved, noticed their gazes, she shyly closed her eyes, engaging in a mini-version of burying her head in the sand.
The die is cast, and Shang Yunmiao couldn't say anything more. In fact, she had pretty much gotten used to it.
After leading Shang Yunmiao, who had passed his own quality inspection and was 100% intellectually competent, to the entrance of Class Two, Chen Bing waved and sent her to her own examination room. Then, he turned and walked towards his own examination room.
For reasons unknown, Shangping Experimental School doesn't arrange exam seating based on grades. Instead, it primarily uses the first letter of the surnames among students at the same academic level. Therefore, even though Chen Bing and Xiao Shang's admission rankings are adjacent, they can't sit together.
Even though they were both in the top-tier class, they were assigned to different exam rooms because their initials were "c" and "S" respectively.
But that's fine too. If this girl were right in front of him, Chen Bing probably wouldn't be in the mood to check her work after finishing the test.
After letting out a sigh, Chen Bing, the undisputed number one in the grade, strode into the first examination room with his unique gait.
