Since Xiao Shang had admitted her mistake and deeply realized it, the magnanimous Chen Bing naturally couldn't hold it against her anymore. He patted the girl's head, told her to record this sentence and send it to him as her alarm clock when they got home, and then strode off with a smug look on his face.
After letting out a sigh of relief mixed with three parts helplessness, seven parts annoyance, and ninety parts joy, Shang Yunmiao also took small steps to catch up with Chen Bing.
After happily linking arms with each other, the two kissed affectionately, their heads touching, and then continued their stroll.
Around 5 p.m., the sun in late May was just beginning to set. Although it wasn't quite dusk yet, the sunlight already had a somewhat dim, yellowish hue.
The teaching building of Shangping Experimental School generally has seven classrooms per floor. Although there are repeat classes for the senior year, the total of 24 classes (4 x 7 = 28) still do not require 28 classrooms.
The four extra classrooms on the fourth floor were originally intended for art students, but with the college entrance exam approaching, the art students had already finished their art exams and returned to their original classes for academic subjects.
Currently, only three of the seven classrooms are on the fourth floor where classes are held, making it somewhat quiet.
After leisurely visiting classes 22, 23, and 24, Chen Bing and his companion arrived at the original art student classroom.
The first room we passed appeared to be an art activity room. Through the glass door, we could see a few easels scattered around, as well as two or three plaster statues of David.
Chen Bing gently pushed the door and was surprised to find that it was unlocked.
Seriously, that was so careless! What if some mischievous student sneaked in and started nibbling on their lips?
Shaking his head, Chen Bing sighed about the management of the senior year department, and then led Shang Yunmiao inside.
"Chen Bing, isn't this inappropriate? Just barging into someone else's classroom..." Xiao Shang said softly, clearly feeling guilty about this overstepping her bounds as a well-behaved student.
"What's the big deal? Our dad's the principal, we can go into the principal's office whenever we want, so why can't we go into a small art classroom?" Chen Bing said fearlessly without turning her head, determined to drag Xiao Shang inside to play.
Helpless, Shang Yunmiao had no choice but to comply, thinking that if she was scolded by the teacher later, she would have to stand with Chen Bing and obediently accept the punishment.
After entering, Chen Bing first glanced at the David statue standing in the center of the classroom, then made the same gesture towards Shang Yunmiao and asked, "Who's more handsome, me or this guy?"
After calming down, Xiao Shang chuckled and replied that Chen Bing was more handsome.
Hmm~ My wife admires me because she loves me.
Nodding in satisfaction, Chen Bing ruffled Shang Yunmiao's hair and said, "Do you remember that I can draw?"
Nodding in imitation of Chen Bing, Shang Yunmiao replied that she remembered.
"I remember you were learning to draw when you were in elementary school and kindergarten, but I rarely saw you draw after you went to junior high school."
“After all, this is China. Once you’re in middle school, your studies should be your priority.” Chen Bing said, while rummaging through several desk drawers. He eventually found a few pencils and a slightly worn piece of drawing paper.
"Come on, sit on that bench and look pretty. I'll draw a quick sketch of you and see if your drawing skills have become rusty after all these years."
"What kind of descriptive word is 'sparkling'?" Shang Yunmiao asked curiously as she sat down on the bench Chen Bing had mentioned.
She put her legs together to one side, then carefully stacked her two little hands on her lap, and looked at Chen Bing cutely, waiting for him to draw for her.
A good-looking model can really inspire creative interest. Chen Bing, who was only slightly interested at first, was immediately inspired when she saw such a cute little Shang.
He stared intently at Shang Yunmiao's body and face for a while, then carefully bent down to draw.
Drawing is quite time-consuming, but fortunately, Chen Bing only needed to sketch Shang Yunmiao and the stool under the little girl's bottom, so the general outline was completed in about ten minutes.
Chen Bing waved to Xiao Shang, signaling her to come over and take a look.
Seeing this, Shang Yunmiao, whose curiosity had already been piqued, skipped and hopped over to Chen Bing with her dainty little steps.
On the yellow drawing paper, I saw myself sitting there, lifelike. Although some parts were still a bit rough, I could still tell at a glance that it was me.
With a "Wow!", Shang Yunmiao hugged Chen Bing and rewarded her with a sweet kiss.
Faced with this naive and inexperienced young merchant, Chen Bing said with a mixture of pride and humility, "This is nothing, just a ten-minute sketch. When you were a child, I gave you a drawing of yourself for your birthday. I spent three whole days on that one, and it's much better than this."
Nodding repeatedly in agreement, Shang Yunmiao then smiled and said, "Even so, isn't this the first time you've drawn what I looked like in high school, Chen Bing?"
Chen Bing raised her hand and pinched Shang Yunmiao's cheek, saying affectionately, "Do you like being drawn by me so much? Aren't you taking the college entrance exam in a few days? We're on holiday for our first year of high school, so come to my room then and I'll draw you a nice picture."
Upon hearing this promise, Shang Yunmiao smiled sweetly and then kissed Chen Bing's cheek.
"Thank you, Chen Bing. Chen Bing is so kind. Can I have this painting?"
"Of course, but let me polish it up first, there are still some minor flaws in some places."
"No need, no need, it's perfect as it is. I'm very satisfied. I want this one, please don't change it, okay?"
"Oh, really? Okay then, I won't change it." With that, Chen Bing put down her paintbrush and started to circle the painting.
Having her wish fulfilled, Shang Yunmiao happily kissed Chen Bing again, making the boy extremely proud. He thought to himself how wonderful it was that he had learned to draw when he was a child.
After tying the rolled-up painting up with a spare hair tie, Shang Yunmiao carried the painting in one hand and took Chen Bing's hand with the other as they left the art classroom.
The second classroom the two entered looked very similar to the art classroom, with piles of paper scattered on the floor. But upon closer inspection, it became clear that this was actually a calligraphy classroom.
Calligraphy classroom, oh, calligraphy classroom is great! My calligraphy is the best. Once I go in, I can use a beautiful brush to write something like "Shang Yunmiao is the cutest in the world." Wouldn't that earn me a few kisses from the girls?
After thinking about it excitedly for a moment, Chen Bing tried to push the door open, only to find it locked. Her dream was shattered as soon as it began.
Damn it! Who locked this room? That's so inconsiderate! Didn't they realize that high school seniors are under so much pressure and need a fun classroom to relax and unwind?
Shaking his head, Chen Bing sighed at the poor management of the senior year department, and then left with Shang Yunmiao.
