Volume 1, Chapter 60: That’s all?

Volume 1, Chapter 60: That’s all?

In the bathroom, the sound of water gurgled, flowing slowly along the man's well-defined muscles.

In this private space, Xu Jingmo indulged in his daydreams.

He knew Du Ruo too well. She was straightforward, honest, and arrogant. She usually interacted with others based on her mood at the moment.

When you are in a good mood, you can joke and play with others; when you are in a bad mood, you will either be speechless with your words or you will be too lazy to even look at them.

However, the ambiguous behavior like today is unprecedented.

The sudden hug in the secret room, the deliberate display of weakness, and the conversation in the car all made him imagine a lot.

He really couldn't help but guess.

Is Du Ruo also a little attracted to him?

She's enlightened? Is that true? Is it just an illusion?

Or had he revealed something and she was testing him?

The answer in his heart seemed to be within reach, but Xu Jingmo did not dare to touch it.

It felt like he hadn't started buying lottery tickets yet, but was just passing by the lottery station every day to watch. One day, the boss suddenly ran out, pulled him and said, "You won the prize!"

It's so unreal.

Xu Jingmo raised his head and let the cold water droplets hit his face. However, the biting cold could not extinguish the burning heat in his heart that was like a magma eruption.

Time passed by minute by minute, and after a long time, he slowly opened his eyes, his eyes were sharp and firm.

Du Ruo...

You brought this upon yourself, don't blame me.

When Xu Jingmo finished his shower and walked out of the bathroom, Du Ruo had already finished her shower and was unpacking the takeaway he had just ordered at the dining table.

She caught a glimpse of him and couldn't help but tease him, "Did you take the bones apart to wash them? You're slower than me taking a shower."

Xu Jingmo walked towards her while casually wiping his wet hair with a towel.

Du Ruo was wearing a loose round-neck T-shirt, with her hair casually tied up, revealing her slender, white neck. Xu Jingmo's eyes stayed on her neck for a few seconds, raised his hand and pinched it lightly, and said casually: "Wrong, I was counting my hair inside for fun."

"..." He was talking nonsense.

His hands were particularly cold, completely different from the usual warmth. Du Ruo couldn't help but shrink his neck and asked in surprise: "You take a bath with cold water?!"

"Ah, I have delicate skin and am afraid of being permed." Xu Jingmo responded lazily. After wiping her hair, he deliberately put the towel around her neck to let her feel the coolness of the towel.

Du Ruo was irritated by his little tricks and took off the towel to beat him. Xu Jingmo smiled and dodged, saying, "You eat my food, drink my drinks, sleep with me, and you treat me violently every day. You are quite domineering, fairy."

Du Ruo chased him and beat him, "I am more than just domineering, I also want to dominate you."

The two of them started a chase in the house for no apparent reason. Xu Jingmo was tall and had long legs, so he dodged easily.

The more Du Ruo couldn't hit him, the angrier she became. Xu Jingmo dodged so easily that she realized once again that they were no longer children. Xu Jingmo was now nearly 20 centimeters taller than her and his strength had become so great that he could easily pick her up with one hand when she was caught off guard. She could no longer control Xu Jingmo as easily as she did when she was a child.

While Du Ruo was distracted, Xu Jingmo had already flashed from the restaurant to the living room, standing there with a sly smile on his face, neither dodging nor avoiding, full of provocation.

Du Ruo narrowed her eyes and swung the towel towards her. Xu Jingmo dodged to the side and reached out to grab the towel tightly. The two of them pulled each other hard. Then, Xu Jingmo suddenly increased his strength and pulled her over like a tug-of-war.

As the world spun around, Du Ruo only felt herself falling on him. He held her waist with one hand, and after a quick turn, she was gently pressed to sit on the sofa.

Afterwards, Xu Jingmo knelt on one knee on the sofa, skillfully twisted a towel to tie her hands together, knelt in front of her, and looked down at her with a masculine hormonal power and threat.

Du Ruo's dark and clear eyes were filled with surprise. How could his skills become so good now?

Xu Jingmo raised the corner of his lips slightly, clasped her hands with one hand, and with the other hand, he slightly bent his index finger, gently lifted her chin with the back of his finger, and asked, "Du Ruo, why did you hug me today?"

His behavior was too frivolous, yet restrained to a level that was not so frivolous, ambiguous and non-offensive.

Du Ruo should have been angry, but she only felt as if her heart was brushed by a kitten's tail. She was itchy. She actually did not reject his behavior.

She replied calmly: "I'm scared."

Xu Jingmo stared at her with deep eyes, "Is that all?"

Du Ruo remained calm and collected, his eyes not evasive, and asked in confusion, "What else? Why do you think it is?"

Good boy, you are testing her instead, right?

Who had a crush on someone first?

Want to trick her? Give him what he can.

Xu Jingmo was not flustered. He stood up nonchalantly, let go of her hand, and said casually: "It's nothing, just asking. I don't let anyone hug me easily. You have to let me return it."

Du Ruo: "Shi Rui also hugged you, why didn't you ask him to return it?"

“……” Damn, I forgot about that idiot.

Xu Jingmo was stunned for a moment, and Du Ruo had quickly untied the towel, wrapped her legs tightly around his waist, hooked him hard, and brought him down, and their positions were instantly switched.

Xu Jingmo fell on the sofa. Du Ruo turned over and sat on him. She was just as neat as him just now. She quickly tied his wrists together with a towel and asked provocatively: "Xu Jingmo, is your circle of friends only visible to me?"

Xu Jingmo's pupils dilated slightly and his heart was in a panic for a moment. He really had exposed something.

He asked, “When did you find it?”

Du Ruo did not answer, but continued to ask: "Why is it only visible to me?"

Xu Jingmo's Adam's apple rolled slightly and his brain was working rapidly. How should he answer?

She had already noticed it. Was she deliberately playing with him or was she just liking him? Did she reject the idea that he liked her?

Du Ruo did not miss his dodging gaze for a moment, and was extremely confused. He was obviously not a shy person, so why was he so secretive?

Some things, once shot, cannot be turned back. Anyway, he had already tried it out, so Xu Jingmo gave up and said frankly: "The Moments are only visible to you. To be precise, all Moments are sent to you on purpose."

"Why?" Du Ruo asked.

"Don't you remember what you said?"

"What?" Du Ruo looked puzzled and had no idea what he was talking about.

"When you first opened WeChat, your uncles and aunts asked you to post more to your Moments so that they could know what you were doing. You said that you were in the library or the laboratory almost every day, and there were not so many colorful social activities, so there was nothing to post. So you asked us to post more, and you would read it carefully, just as a virtual participation to relieve yourself from boredom."

Memories gradually came back to her, and Du Ruo remembered that she had indeed said these words.

"That's all?" Du Ruo seemed dissatisfied with his answer.

Xu Jingmo had unbuttoned the towel without knowing when. He pinched her waist and sat up, saying calmly, "As your only friend, isn't it my duty to help you relieve your worries and boredom? Stop making trouble. I'm hungry. Let's eat."

Du Ruo sat on the sofa, looking at Xu Jingmo's back, thoughtfully.

Why do I feel like he's not telling the truth? He seems... a little unhappy? ?
