Kui Kui's hair was ruffled by the wind, and she subconsciously squinted. A ghostly figure emerged from the washing machine and fled towards the other side of the drying platform, seemingly afraid of the sunlight, before suddenly retreating.
A cold glint flashed in Kui Kui's eyes, and his hands quickly formed hand seals. Several beams of light shot out from thin air, trapping the ghostly figure within them.
The ghostly figure suddenly turned around; it was a small ghost with the physique of a child.
His body was pinkish-brown, his head was large, his hair was sparse, and you could vaguely see the bulging veins on his head.
His eyes were large and extremely prominent, much like a frog's.
Kui Kui thought to himself: So it's just a little devil.
The Child Ghost, also known as the Night-Crying Ghost, is the spirit that transforms into a child who died young.
He often appears at night, jumping around on children's beds, making it impossible for the children to sleep and causing them to cry loudly.
If left unchecked, the child will develop symptoms such as high fever and sleepwalking. The child ghost does this to increase its companions and play with them.
Children are afraid of light, and also afraid of red lanterns.
When the child ghost appeared, it startled Zhang Yuping and his wife, and their faces turned pale instantly.
The two of them immediately and instinctively hugged the child, one covering the child's eyes and the other covering the child's ears.
The little ghost bared its teeth at Kui Kui to show its anger.
“Go and be reincarnated. It’s not worth it to be attached to the human world.” Kui Kui said and began to recite the “Supreme Venerable of the Cave of Mystery and Spiritual Treasure Speaks of the Wonderful Scripture of Salvation from Suffering”.
When the child ghost heard the bell ring, panic flashed in its eyes. Ignoring the fact that the golden pillars of light would harm it, it grabbed the pillars with both hands and howled. The word "Mama" could be faintly heard.
The gates of hell open, and the underworld messengers arrive.
The little ghost dejectedly withdrew his hand and stopped moving immediately.
The underworld messenger bowed to Kui Kui and Mo Ye, then took the child ghost away.
The gloomy atmosphere on the fourth floor was instantly swept away.
The last rays of the setting sun shone into the laundry room, carrying a faint scent of laundry detergent.
Kui Kui looked at Zhang Yuping and asked, "Besides Yuanbao, do you and your wife have any other children? Unborn children are included too."
Zhang Yuping watched as Kui Kui muttered to himself and occasionally made strange movements. If it weren't for Chen Haiguo's guarantee and recommendation, he would have even suspected that he had encountered another fake shaman who was actually performing a shamanic act.
After experiencing what just happened, he realized how ignorant he had been.
There really are ghosts in this world!
He snapped out of his reverie, exchanged a glance with his wife, and they both shook their heads.
Zhang Yuping said, "No...no, we only have Yuanbao as a child."
Zhang Yuping's wife nodded in agreement.
Kui Kui pondered and said, "That might just be a coincidence. This little ghost wasn't coming for you. It just happened to be passing by."
"Master, now that the ghost is gone, will Yuanbao be alright?"
Kui Kui looked at Yuan Bao, then at the surroundings, and shook his head. "I still feel something is wrong."
Mo Ye suggested, "Why don't we set up a Qimen Dunjia divination?"
Kui Kui nodded and slowly closed her eyes.
Qimen formation, also known as Qimen Dunjia formation.
She couldn't do it before, but now she not only can, she's an expert.
When the Xiangchuanmen Dunjia was first established, it had 4,320 formations, which were later improved by Feng Hou to 1,080 formations.
During the Zhou Dynasty, Jiang Shang reduced the number of battle formations to seventy-two due to the needs of military operations.
After receiving instruction from Huang Shigong during the Han Dynasty, Zhang Liang reformed the system again, resulting in the Yin Dun Nine Formations and Yang Dun Nine Formations used today, totaling eighteen formations.
After the wind, came Nuwa.
Kui Kui opened his eyes and lightly tapped the base or knuckles of his left thumb to determine the four pillars of the year, month, day, and hour.
A year is divided into twenty-four solar terms, each solar term is divided into three periods, and each period is divided into five days.
The outcome is determined by the combination of the second, eighth, and fifth days of the Lesser Cold solar term.
Kui Kui made a sword-finger gesture with his right hand and drew a grid in the air, forming a tic-tac-toe pattern.
The numbers of the Three Wonders, Six Instruments, and Nine Palaces are used to find the first day of each of the sixty Jiazi cycles.
The Six Jia Generals are in charge of the palace, and the Nine Stars of the Heavenly Plate are the Chief Symbols.
The Human Plate has eight gates, and the Chief Gate is determined by the Earth Plate and the Hour Stem.
The nine stars are distributed with the Heavenly Stems, and the eight gates are arranged in the palace of the Duty Officer.
The Nine Stars, representing the Chief Star, determine the palace positions; Yin and Yang, Heaven and Earth, arrange the Eight Gods.
As Kui Kui's hand fell, the Qimen formation in mid-air flashed red and disappeared without a trace.
She looked at Zhang Yuping and asked, "Does this house have a basement?"
