Chapter 231 Something's Wrong

A blood moon hung in the dark night sky, appearing particularly lonely without any stars to accompany it.

A sandcastle stands amidst the vast expanse of yellow sand.

Badam led Kuikui around to the side of the sandcastle.

He looked around to make sure no one was there, then transformed his hands into dragon claws and began frantically digging in the sand.

The night wind howled, stirring up sand and dust, and also ruffling Kui Kui's hair.

In a short time, Badam dug a hole about half a person's height in the wall.

He was the first to crawl inside, then turned around and poked his head out, waving to Kui Kui, "Sister-in-law, come quick!"

Kui Kui, disheveled in the wind, pursed her lips and bent down to follow.

Badam easily evaded the patrolling demon guards and headed straight for the cell where Kadar was imprisoned.

The two demon guards at the cell door were knocked unconscious before they could even utter a sound when they saw the two people who suddenly appeared.

Kadar looked up at the sound, and his confused eyes immediately became clear.

"Brother, sister-in-law!" He exclaimed excitedly, pulling on the iron chains binding his fleshy wings, which jingled loudly.

Blood oozed from the wound, and Badamu felt heartbroken seeing it.

"Brother, don't move, I'm coming to save you!" Badamu said, gripping the iron bars of the cage with both hands.

"No!" Kadar cried out to stop him, but it was too late.

With a sizzling sound, white smoke billowed from Badamu's hands, and a faint aroma of roasted meat filled the air.

He winced in pain and immediately pulled his hand back; the skin was torn and the flesh was mangled, and you could even vaguely see the white bone.

Kadar's eyes were full of helplessness as he explained, "This is the Dragon-Slaying Iron that restrains our Demon Dragon race. Brother, you can't help me."

"No, since we're already here, I'm determined to save you today!"

Just as Badam was about to step forward, a force came from his shoulder and held him firmly down, making it impossible for him to move an inch.

"You're right. Since we're already here, I'll do it."

As he spoke, Kui Kui walked to the cage, gripped the iron bars with both hands, and forcefully broke the cage open by pulling it to both sides.

Those slender, boneless hands were like iron clamps, tearing the chains binding Kadar in two.

"Thank you so much, sister-in-law!"

"Sister-in-law is awesome!"

"Where is Mo Ye? Where is he?"

Badam rubbed his head with the back of his hand, his features contorted in pain. "This... I don't know either!"

"I know!" Kadar raised his hand, which aggravated the wound on his fleshy wing, causing him to grimace in pain and unable to speak.

Kui Kui frowned and gently stroked the fleshy wing.

The penetrating wound, resembling a hole, visibly healed.

Kadar's eyes shone brightly, and he knelt down, exclaiming, "Sister-in-law, you are my god!"

A wisp of faith drifted out and landed on Kui Kui.

"Stop joking around, take me to find Mo Ye."

"Okay!"

Upon seeing this, Badam immediately knelt before Kui Kui, blocking his path, and raised his hands above his head, saying, "Sister-in-law, you are also my god!"

He raised his head, his round eyes fixed on Kui Kui, as if to say: Save me! Save me!

Kui Kui was generous and healed Badamu's hands directly.

Kadar folded his fleshy wings and led Kuikui and Badam into the deeper part of the sandcastle.

The passageway was very dark, with only one torch visible every ten meters or so.

The firelight reflected off the rough sand wall, dancing like demons.

Kui Kui couldn't help but recall the scene when she first met Mo Ye.

They encountered many demons along the way, but Badam and Kadar dealt with them without Kui Kui having to lift a finger.

"Wait a minute." Kui Kui suddenly called out to the two of them, and seeing their puzzled looks, she explained:

"The smell of blood has gotten stronger, so I'll go first."

"How can that be? I need to protect my younger siblings!"

"I am better than you."

"Sister-in-law, I'll show you the way!"

"There is only one road."

The two men lowered their heads and obediently made way.

The smell of blood grew stronger, and the passageway narrowed, allowing only one person to pass at a time.

Badam and Kadar wanted to switch places with Kuikui, but it was too late; they could only be on high alert.

Kuikui suddenly stopped, and Badam and Kadar also stopped immediately, avoiding a rear-end collision.

Kadar, standing in the middle, stood on tiptoe.

Badamu, standing at the very back, transformed his neck into a dragon's body.

The two could clearly see the corpse of a demon lying in front of Kui Kui.

Kui Kui jumped over, and the two followed closely behind.

The passageway gradually widened, but the number of corpses on the ground increased.

Kadar asked in bewilderment, "Who did this? There must have been dozens of bodies along the way."

"I counted, thirty-eight."

"Could it be Brother Mo?"

The brothers stood on either side of Kui Kui, walking and talking.

Kui Kui stopped again, and the two of them paused as well. Following her gaze, they saw Mo Ye.

He bared his teeth, covered in blood, except for a patch of white, everything else was black.

"Brother Mo!"

"Brother Mo!"

The two were overjoyed and wanted to go forward, but were stopped by Kui Kui.

"Wait, something's wrong with him!"
