Kui Kui noticed Xia Tian's gaze and looked up towards the door.
Summer isn't very tall, probably around 1.7 meters, but her back is ramrod straight.
Even in the sweltering heat of over 30 degrees Celsius outside, he remained impeccably dressed in a suit, his hair meticulously combed.
He nodded slightly to Kui Kui, his gaze, peering through his gold-rimmed glasses, held a faint smile.
Kui Kui immediately patted Xia Menglu, who was engrossed in twisting the doll's head, beside him.
Xia Menglu looked up, pried off the head of the last doll with one hand, and said in surprise, "Dad, why are you back so early? Didn't you say you wouldn't finish work until tonight?"
Summer smiled gently and said, "Work is nothing compared to my precious daughter! These two are your friends, right? Hurry up and introduce them to your father."
"Oh, this is Wu Youyou. This is Kui Kui."
The two stood up and bowed respectfully to Xia Tian, saying, "Hello, Uncle Xia."
Xia Tian's gaze fell on Kui Kui, and she smiled, "Lulu has already told me everything that happened at school."
"Kui Kui, we really owe you a lot this time."
"Lulu and I are friends, it's only right."
Xia Menglu smiled especially happily upon hearing this.
Summer took in his daughter's reaction, and a hint of jealousy flashed through his doting father's heart.
With a smile still on his face, he said, "There are very few true masters of metaphysics these days; most of them are just charlatans and fraudsters."
Xia Menglu immediately defended Kui Kui, saying, "I don't know about others, but Kui Kui is absolutely genuine! Youyou can also testify to that."
Wu Youyou nodded immediately, as if striking garlic.
Xia Tian said helplessly, "Dad didn't say he didn't believe me. Why can't you listen to what the adults have to say?"
"How's it going? Do you need my help?"
With that, he went into the room.
I took a couple of steps, but there was nowhere to put my feet down...
The sight of decapitated dolls scattered all over the ground gave even Xia Tian, a business tycoon, a chill down his spine.
"It'll be soon!"
Xia Menglu responded and put all the paper figures from the doll into a copper basin.
I'm going to take it to the bathroom and burn it to destroy it.
However, the moment she stood up, a strange phenomenon occurred.
The paper figures that had been lying quietly all began to tremble and flew in unison towards Xia Tian, who was not far away.
"Dad!" Xia Menglu exclaimed in surprise.
Summer was also startled and jumped back, but accidentally stepped on the doll's head.
He slipped and fell backward.
The paper figures made a "fluttering" sound, but missed.
They spun in mid-air and swooped down, looking just like a flock of yellow butterflies.
Summer's fall gave Kui Kui enough time to react.
Kui Kui shook out two yellow talismans from his pocket.
One was thrown at the paper figures, and another, as summer passed, landed on his forehead.
"Don't move!" she whispered, reminding Xia Tian.
Meanwhile, the paper figures were on high alert and tried to flee in all directions, but they were struck by the yellow talisman.
The paper figures let out a series of shrill screams and turned to ashes.
The four surviving paper figures scattered and fled.
Two flew out the window, and two darted out the door.
Kui Kui shouted, "Little White, you're in charge of the window area!"
"receive!"
Although Kui Kui had a protective talisman on Xia Tian's forehead, it did not completely obscure her vision.
He saw two paper figures head towards the window, and Wu Youyou and Xia Menglu, with perfect understanding, each took one side and closed the window at the same time.
The next second, Xia Tian saw the paper figure seemingly knocked to the ground by something.
The paper figure's short limbs were slightly raised, as if it wanted to escape, but all its struggles were in vain.
It was quickly torn to pieces.
Another paper figure huddled in the corner, trembling.
Immediately afterwards, the head vanished into thin air.
When Kui Kui returned after dealing with the other two paper figures, he heard Xiao Bai's complaints.
"This thing is so disgusting!" It stuck out its pink tongue and rubbed it with its paw.
"You're really brave, you dare to eat anything! Aren't you afraid of getting diarrhea?" Kui Kui said with a smile as she entered.
Little Whitey jumped directly onto her shoulder, transforming into a soft scarf that hung around her neck.
Wu Youyou asked with concern, "Kui Kui, has everything been resolved?"
Before Kui Kui could answer, Xia Menglu interjected, "Kui Kui is a match for two! She'll definitely solve the problem."
Kuikui smiled and nodded.
Summer was still half-lying down, not daring to move, watching her daughter chatting and laughing with others.
He reeked of sourness.
He made a face, pointed to the talisman on his forehead, and said, "Can I take this?"
Kui Kui quickly took the talisman off and folded it into a delicate little triangle.
"Uncle Xia, I apologize for the rudeness just now. Please keep this talisman and wear it close to your body; it will protect you."
"Thank you, Kui Kui." Xia Menglu took the bag from her father and helped him up.
After what just happened, Xia Tian's calves were still trembling a little.
Although he trusted his daughter completely, seeing is believing.
I never imagined that the paper figures inside the dolls could be so terrifying!
This project has just started, and the dolls haven't even gone into production yet. If these cursed dolls were sold on the market, how many people would be harmed?
And their company's reputation will be ruined!
"Uncle Xia, although it may be impolite to ask this, I'll say it anyway for Lulu's and your safety."
"Have you offended anyone? Or rather, what is your relationship with the owner of that toy shop?"
