Chapter 96 The Return of the Primordial Spirit

The reinforcements that Lü Jianbi found were the fierce generals under the Heavenly Emperor, the Crimson Flame Immortal Lord.

A fiery red battle robe enveloped his heroic body, and the cloak behind him fluttered without wind, like a burning flame.

His hair was as black as ink, held up by a golden hair crown, and meticulously combed.

His handsome face exudes a commanding presence, and he possesses a cold demeanor that belies his age.

He glanced coldly at Mang Tianlong, his face full of disdain, his gaze wandering before finally settling on Kui Kui.

Kui Kui's keen senses told him that this person was very dangerous and he should get away from him immediately.

However, she clenched her fists and did not move her feet at all.

Because Mo Ye was right behind her, this strangely dressed man was clearly not there to see her.

Therefore, his target must be Mo Ye.

With Mo Ye's fate unknown, she naturally cannot back down.

As if seeing through her thoughts, the Crimson Flame Immortal Lord said expressionlessly, "An ant trying to shake a tree is laughable and shows a lack of self-awareness."

He narrowed his eyes slightly, and with just one glance, Kui Kui felt an immense pressure.

It felt as if the person in front of me was not a person, but a mountain.

The mountain pressed down on her head, and her shoulders slumped. Despite her immense resentment, she finally succumbed to the weight and knelt on the ground.

His knees sank deep into the damp mud, not even a speck of dust was stirred up.

A dull pain shot through my chest, followed by a surge of metallic sweetness.

Kui Kui clenched his teeth and swallowed the blood.

Mo Ye watched her retreating figure and whispered, "Kui Kui."

Upon hearing the sound, Kui Kui turned his head sharply, his mind slightly relaxed.

"You... Pfft!"

As soon as he opened his mouth, the blood he had just swallowed surged up and sprayed all over Mo Ye's face.

Despite spitting out blood, Kui Kui felt the dull pain in his chest lessen considerably.

She looked up, her gaze falling precisely on Mo Ye's face.

Mo Ye's face showed surprise, tenderness, and a hint of disgust due to his obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Kui Kui's fair cheeks flushed crimson as she whispered an apology.

She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, then rummaged through her small bag to find tissues to wipe the blood off Mo Ye's face.

Mo Ye's eyes widened slightly as he grabbed Kui Kui's slender wrist with one hand.

The next second, it vanished from its spot and burrowed into Kui Kui's body.

Kui Kui opened his eyes again, now golden, transforming into vertical pupils.

A wave of energy shot out from her back, blocking the oppressive aura that descended again from the Crimson Flame Immortal Lord's lowered gaze.

Mo Ye slowly rose and faced the Crimson Flame Immortal Lord.

Crimson Flame Immortal Lord raised an eyebrow and looked at the indifferent girl before him, saying disdainfully, "A mere mortal and a wisp of immortal spirit dare to meet my gaze!"

As he spoke, he raised one hand in a gesture.

The scorching flames, accompanied by waves of heat, swept towards Kui Kui and Mo Ye.

The moment Mang Tianlong saw Mo Ye and Kui Kui, his eyes widened in disbelief.

He didn't have time to dwell on Kui Kui's deception. In a flash, he transformed into his original form, a python-dragon, and stood in front of Kui Kui.

The python opened its blood-red maw to meet the oncoming flames, spewing out a thick jet of water that collided with the flames.

Water and fire are incompatible, producing a crackling and popping sound.

"Bang!"

The explosion was deafening, sending up a plume of smoke.

"Hmph!" Immortal Lord Crimson Flame snorted coldly, saying, "How dare a mere Earth Immortal act so presumptuously in front of me!"

After saying that, he made a grasping motion in the air with one hand, and a large hand formed from flames appeared out of thin air, grabbing Mang Tianlong's vital point.

The once energetic Mangtianlong suddenly wilted.

"Hmph!" Immortal Lord Crimson Flame sneered and sent Mang Tianlong flying.

The enormous dragon's body crashed through dozens of trees before finally coming to a stop.

The scales around the seven-inch mark of the dragon were scorched by the flames, leaving it a bloody mess.

He slightly raised his head, blood seeping from his mouth and nose. Seeing that the Crimson Flame Immortal Lord was about to attack Mo Ye, he flared his nostrils and suddenly opened his mouth, roaring!

A black snake coffin descended from the sky.

The Crimson Flame Immortal Lord recognized what was coming, but it was too late to stop.

The palm strike, accompanied by a shockwave, hurtled towards the snake coffin.

The snake coffin was no longer impregnable because Mo Ye had previously broken a small hole in it from the inside.

As soon as the Crimson Flame Immortal Lord made his move, he was cleaved in two, and a coiled black dragon slowly descended.

Kui Kui grinned and said, "Thank you."

"Oh no!" A look of panic flashed in the eyes of the Crimson Flame Immortal Lord.

However, it was too late; Mo Ye's primordial spirit had returned to its place.
