Kui Kui clasped his hands in a Tai Chi salute and said, "May the Heavenly Venerable grant me boundless blessings. I humbly request the Daoist Master to enlighten me."
Xuan Cheng did not return the greeting, but stroked his beard and said, "I have heard about the whereabouts of the Nine-Tailed Spirit Cat Clan, but before I tell you, I have something to ask you."
"Please ask, Taoist Master."
Do you recognize my disciple, Yi Mei?
Kui Kui's pupils widened slightly, she bit her lip, and answered honestly, "I know him."
"It really is you!" Xuan Cheng's aura suddenly surged.
Kui Kui did not move his feet or sway his body at all.
"I have answered the Daoist's question. Please tell me the whereabouts of the Nine-Tailed Spirit Cat clan!"
"Ha! Now that I recognize you, I naturally know about the feud between you and Yi Mei. Do you think I would still tell you the whereabouts of the Nine-Tailed Spirit Cat clan?"
As soon as Xuan Cheng finished speaking, he felt something hit his lower back.
“One thing at a time. Breaking your promise is your fault.” Master Zhenmei said, half-lying on the ground, her pretty face flushed.
Xuan Cheng quickly squatted down and said with concern, "The ground is cold, let me help you up first."
Master Zhenmei pushed him away with one hand, "Don't touch me if you're a person who doesn't keep their word!"
She waved to Kui Kui and said, "Little girl, help me up."
Upon hearing this, Kui Kui carefully helped Master Zhen Mei to the bed.
Master Zhenmei winked at her and whispered, "I know Xuancheng's disciple; he's no good! You're someone Wang He has his eye on, so I'm on your side."
"Thank you, Master."
Although the two spoke softly, Xuan Cheng's hearing was excellent.
He knew that Wang He was Zhen Shan's secular name.
Jealousy makes people ugly, and impulsiveness makes people lose their reason.
He had initially been skeptical of Bai Lian's words, but now he believed them almost entirely.
He wouldn't go out of his way to avenge Yi Mei, but if his enemy were right in front of him, that would be a different story.
After silently putting on a show of puffing out his beard and glaring, Xuan Cheng had already come up with a plan.
“Master Zhenmei, I, Xuancheng, am naturally a man of my word.”
“Young lady, our Minghe Temple has a book that says the lineage of the Nine-Tailed Spirit Cat is hidden in the Fish Scale Waterfall of Laoshan Mountain, which is now the Chaoyin Waterfall.”
Kui Kui said gratefully, "Thank you!"
"Don't thank me, I'm just keeping my promise. Now, it's my turn to settle accounts with you regarding my disciple, Yi Mei."
"Once I find the Nine-Tailed Spirit Cat clan and finish dealing with my own affairs, I will come to the Taoist priest to argue my point."
"Refute? Ha, so you think you're right to severely injure my disciple?"
Looking at Xuan Cheng's righteous and awe-inspiring appearance, Kui Kui immediately understood who Yi Mei resembled.
Indeed, like teacher, like student!
With her mind preoccupied with Xiaobai's matter and eager to find the Nine-Tailed Spirit Cat clan, she no longer intended to argue with Xuancheng and asked directly, "What does Daoist wish to do?"
"You severely injured my disciple, so you shall take three of my blows, shall you?"
“Okay!” Kui Kui agreed without hesitation.
"No!" Master Zhenmei exclaimed anxiously.
She propped herself up, her eyes red and watery, and said to Xuan Cheng, "You're bullying the weak!"
Master Zhenmei then said to Kui Kui, "Silly girl, are you out of your mind? This guy has mastered thunder magic, why did you agree to his request!"
“Master Zhenmei, you think too highly of this little girl. I wouldn’t use lightning magic on her.”
"You said it!"
Master Zhenmei got out of bed and staggered toward Kui Kui, but the latter pushed her back down.
"Master, I'll be alright."
"Master Xuancheng, three strikes, please be quick, I'm in a hurry."
As he spoke, Kui Kui assumed a horse stance and waved to Xuan Cheng.
That's outrageous! Absolutely outrageous!
Xuan Cheng had never seen such an arrogant person, especially a young girl!
He took a deep breath and, seeing Master Zhenmei's anxious expression, felt too embarrassed to kill her.
He was skilled in thunder magic and even more skilled in hard qigong. He used seventy percent of his strength to strike out with a palm.
Kui Kui did not move his horse stance, but blocked Xuan Cheng's attack with his blocking hand. Then he turned and bound Xuan Cheng's hands, using the force of the binding to make Xuan Cheng suddenly lose his balance.
Xuan Cheng rushed forward several steps and knelt down on both knees in front of Master Zhenmei.
He clearly hadn't expected to be in such a sorry state. After a brief moment of stunned silence, he quickly got up, his robes covered in dust.
His Adam's apple bobbed, as if a fishbone was stuck in his throat.
Why did you fight back?
Kui Kui gestured again, asking, "If you don't fight back, are you just going to stand there and let me hit you?"
"Daoist Master, you are decades older than me, how can you be so naive? There are still two more blows to come, please! I'm in a hurry."
This is the second time that Kuikui has said he's in a hurry.
Xuan Cheng was completely enraged. He put aside all his contempt and put in his full strength.
A powerful palm strike was sent out.
Kui Kui's fingertips released red threads that wove a net, stopping the attack.
"You! You little girl, you have no martial ethics! How dare you use magic!" Xuan Cheng pointed at Kui Kui and scolded her angrily.
"Since that's the case, then I won't hold back anymore!"
Master Zhenmei immediately realized what Xuancheng was about to do and quickly spoke up to stop him, saying, "Xuancheng, you said you would use the Immovable Thunder Technique!"
"Did I say that? I don't admit it!" Xuan Cheng was so angry that he gathered his energy and made a hand seal.
A bolt of lightning struck from the sky, shattering Master Zhenmei's bedroom, and Xuancheng also regained consciousness.
He thought to himself: Oh no!
"It's beautiful, I'm sorry!" he shouted, and carried the beautiful woman out of the room before the house collapsed.
