Everyone says not to pick up men casually from the roadside, but Mu Xingchen not only picked one up, she recklessly got involved with him. However, the man was incredibly handsome and terrifyingly powerful, so she had no choice but to pretend to be a delicate white flower, manipulating him into falling for her.

The man was overjoyed, doting on her immensely. He proposed to her, and she happily accepted. Unexpectedly, on their wedding day, Mu Xingchen eloped.

On a cliff, Li Jing pointed his sword at Mu Xingchen, trembling as he asked, "Why did you betray me? Didn't you say you loved me? Didn't you say we'd be together forever?" As he spoke the last few words, blood subtly seeped from the corner of his mouth.

Mu Xingchen fell silent. She had ophidiophobia, a fear of snakes. Snakes were damp, gloomy, cold-blooded, and preferred darkness. Their vertical pupils made her scalp tingle, and the glistening black scales on their bodies gave her goosebumps.

After a long silence, Mu Xingchen said, "When we fell in love, you were still human. But now, you're a snake demon." Li Jing spat out a mouthful of blood directly. It was in Bluestone Alley that she picked him up, she said it was love at first sight, and she said she would love him for eternity. Later, not only was he deceived out of his demon spirit, but he was also poisoned.

In a dark, gloomy room, Mu Xingchen's wrists were bound by heavy iron chains. He pressed her, asking if she loved him. Mu Xingchen thought, a snake wasn't worthy. The third time news spread of Li Jing's death on the battlefield, Mu Xingchen only found a snakeskin when she arrived. Mu Xingchen stood dazed in place for a long time, so long that her racing heart slowed to an incredibly sluggish pace.

Not long after, an army of 100,000 soldiers mobilized to capture her. Li Jing sneered behind her, "Run, keep running." The entire world became his bait, solely to capture her. Mu Xingchen looked at his blood-stained legs and immediately fumed, "You harmed yourself!" "A self-inflicted wound ruse, haven't I learned that from you?"
