Chapter 20 Car Accident Miracle
Zhao Xuanlang never imagined that one day, death would be so close to him. When the truck hit him just now, he really thought that he was finished.
At that critical moment, a white light suddenly flashed, and then he didn't know what happened.
When he regained consciousness, he was lying in a hospital bed. The doctor told him that he had only suffered a minor forehead injury. He only needed to stay in the hospital for one night for observation, and if there was no concussion, he could be discharged.
Thinking back to that tragic car accident, he felt incredible. He had clearly thought that he might not survive, but now he only suffered minor injuries.
This seems unbelievable no matter how you think about it.
"Xiao Lang, are you okay?"
Mother Zhao hurried into the ward and began to check up and down. She finally breathed a sigh of relief after discovering that Zhao Xuanlang really only suffered a minor head injury.
Father Zhao's frown behind him slowly relaxed.
Although the doctor had just explained the situation to them, they still couldn't really let go of their worries until they saw that their son was truly safe and sound.
"Dad, Mom, I--" Zhao Xuanlang opened his mouth, but didn't know what to say.
This car accident was so bizarre, and it was a miracle that he survived. But was it really a miracle? And that inexplicable white light that suddenly appeared, was it real or just an illusion?
His intuition told him that it was true. Moreover, it was because of that white light that he was able to remain safe and sound.
"Xiao Lang, what are you thinking about?" Zhao's mother looked at Zhao Xuanlang's dazed look and said worriedly, "Are you feeling unwell somewhere? Don't hide it, tell me. Forget it, I'd better go call a doctor now!"
After saying this, he was about to stand up. However, just as he made a move, he was stopped by Zhao Xuanlang.
"Mom, Uncle Chen—" Zhao Xuanlang suddenly asked, "How is he now?"
The Uncle Chen he mentioned was the driver who had taken him there today. He had fainted after the accident, so he didn't know how the driver was doing now.
After hearing Zhao Xuanlang's question, Zhao's father and mother looked at each other. For a moment, they didn't know how to answer.
Uncle Chen had already died on the spot when the car accident happened. The severity of the car accident was simply too much to bear. They had originally thought that Zhao Xuanlang would be either dead or injured in this car accident. However, what was unexpected was that in such a tragic car accident, Zhao Xuanlang only suffered minor injuries.
Even the traffic police who inspected the scene said that Zhao Xuanlang's survival was a miracle, because at the moment of the accident, the entire car was almost deformed.
"Uncle Chen, is he—" Zhao Xuanlang's voice was a little choked up, "Is he dead?"
Father Zhao nodded, then spoke to comfort him, "Xiao Lang, don't think too much now. Such a big thing just happened, you just need to rest well. As for the follow-up matters, your mother and I will take care of it."
"Yes!" Mother Zhao sat down beside the bed, patted Zhao Xuanlang on the shoulder, and said with some relief, "Xiaolang, you were able to escape death this time, it was really blessed by your ancestors. Be careful in the future, don't let this happen again. If anything happens to you, what will your father and I do!"
After hearing what Zhao's mother said, Zhao Xuanlang seemed to remember something. He immediately reached into his pocket, but he didn't feel the talisman paper, only grabbed a handful of ashes.
Looking at the ashes in Zhao Xuanlang's hand, Zhao's father and mother looked at each other, neither of them understood what was going on!
"Xiao Lang, are you okay?" Mother Zhao looked at Zhao Xuanlang cautiously, "If you really feel uncomfortable somewhere, you must tell me immediately."
Zhao Xuanlang stared blankly at the ashes in his hand, his mind suddenly confused. He clearly remembered that the talisman paper Zhong Nianyao had given him was placed in this pocket before. But now, there was only a pile of ashes.
At this moment, he suddenly remembered that at the moment when the danger happened, he felt a burst of heat in his pocket, and then a flash of light.
Thinking of what Zhong Nian Yao had said, an idea suddenly flashed through Zhao Xuanlang's mind. Could it be that this time it was really Zhong Nian Yao's talisman paper that saved him?
Without any hesitation, Zhao Xuanlang immediately told Zhong Nianyao everything she had said to him, as well as how the talisman saved him.
After listening to Zhao Xuanlang's narration, Zhao's mother immediately looked at Zhao's father and said, "Husband, this—"
Father Zhao looked at Zhao Xuanlang and said seriously, "You are talking about the classmate I mentioned before, right?"
