Chapter 31 Talisman Paper
The reason Aunt Wu came here this time was to find someone to help her calculate her fortune.
Her son and daughter-in-law had been married for several years, but they still had no children. They had gone to the hospital for checkups, but neither of them had any problems. Over the years, she had been so anxious and angry about this that her hair had turned gray.
She is not a wicked mother-in-law, nor would she make things difficult for her daughter-in-law for such a thing, and she would certainly not encourage her son and daughter-in-law to become estranged.
However, she always dreamed of holding a grandchild. She didn't ask for many, just one. Such a simple wish, however, remained unfulfilled.
The reason why she appeared here at Tongtian Bridge today was actually because she was desperate and trying every possible means to cure her illness.
She had originally planned to seek out an older fortune teller. However, after seeing Zhong Nianyao's performance, she changed her mind. She felt that this young woman in front of her was more successful than the others. So, she decided to give it a try.
Even if there is any loss, it is just some money.
Zhong Nianyao glanced at Aunt Wu in front of her, then smiled slightly, "You go back!"
Upon hearing this, Aunt Wu was immediately confused. "Little girl, what do you mean? Aren't you going to let me go? Why?"
She didn't understand. Although she had just watched the fun, she had never offended the girl in front of her from beginning to end. Why didn't she let it go?
"Auntie, I suggest you call back and ask first." Zhong Nianyao raised the corner of her mouth with a mysterious arc, "If you still insist on me calculating it then, I will calculate it for you again."
Seeing Zhong Nianyao's mysterious look, Aunt Wu was full of questions, but she still picked up her phone and called her son. She also wanted to see what this little girl was up to.
The moment the call was connected, before Aunt Wu could even say anything, her son's excited voice came from the other end.
"Mom, mom, Xiaoya is pregnant. She went to the hospital for a check-up today and she's already two months pregnant."
"What?" Aunt Wu stood up immediately, her voice rising several degrees, but she couldn't hide the excitement in her tone, "Are you serious?"
Then, there was a lot of chatter coming from the other end of the phone, but Aunt Wu didn't feel annoyed at all. Instead, she became more excited.
The people who were originally watching were all confused at this moment.
After a long while, Aunt Wu finally hung up the phone. When she looked at Zhong Nianyao, her eyes were emitting a green light. "Master, you are so accurate. No wonder you didn't calculate it for me. It turns out that my wife is pregnant!"
The people who were originally confused suddenly understood. When they looked at Zhong Nianyao again, their eyes were glowing green.
Now they really believe that although the little girl in front of them is young, she has real skills.
"Master, is the baby in my daughter-in-law's belly a boy or a girl?"
Aunt Wu had already sat down again. When she looked at Zhong Nianyao, she was like a cat that had seen a fish. "Actually, I don't really care whether it's a boy or a girl. I just wanted to know in advance."
She was telling the truth. After all, she had waited so many years to get pregnant, so it didn't matter whether it was a boy or a girl. Of course, if possible, she still wanted both grandchildren and grandsons. However, she also knew in her heart that some things couldn't be forced.
Zhong Nianyao shook her head. "It doesn't matter whether it's a boy or a girl. What matters is that your wish will come true in the end."
Hearing this, Aunt Wu's eyes lit up, "You mean—"
"Shh!"
Zhong Nianyao raised her index finger to her lips and said, "The secret cannot be revealed."
"Thank you, Master, thank you, Master." Aunt Wu thanked him repeatedly. "Master, how much is this divination?"
"Just give me a hundred."
After thinking for a moment, Zhong Nianyao took out a piece of talisman paper folded into a triangle from her pocket, strung it with red thread, and handed it to Aunt Wu. "Give this to your daughter-in-law. Don't take it off at any time."
Seeing the talisman paper handed over by Zhong Nianyao, Aunt Wu frowned, "Master, what do you mean?"
"Just listen to me." Zhong Nianyao didn't answer, "This talisman paper is different from the divination money. It costs 10,000 yuan."
When Aunt Wu heard the price, she was shocked. The talisman paper seemed like a hot potato. She felt that it was not right for her to take it, and it was not right for her not to take it.
She even began to suspect that she had met a scammer and that everything that had just happened was just a coincidence.
It wasn't just Aunt Wu; everyone around her felt the same way. Otherwise, why would a small piece of talisman paper cost 10,000 yuan? You know, the highest price for talisman paper sold by people in Tongtian Bridge was only 1,000 yuan.
