Chapter 435: A Moment of Confusion
In the living room——
The atmosphere was exceptionally silent, even a little weird.
Zhong Mingyu and Zhong Mengxuan sat on the sofa, neither of them speaking, as they sat there in silence. They seemed to want to say something, but they didn't know what to say.
Li Yiqiu just sat on the ground with lifeless eyes, not knowing what she was thinking.
I don’t know how long it took, but Zhong Mingyu slowly stood up and was about to leave the living room.
Zhong Mingyu's action startled Li Yiqiu, who was still immersed in her own sadness. She seemed to wake up suddenly, stood up immediately, and grabbed Zhong Mingyu who was about to leave. Her eyes were sad, as if she had a thousand words to say but couldn't say anything.
"Let's go to the Civil Affairs Bureau tomorrow!" Zhong Mingyu sighed helplessly. "There's no need for you to say anything more about this matter. There's no way my father will give in. I didn't call the police because I didn't want to make a big deal out of it. You...you better take care of yourself!"
"No!" Li Yiqiu's lips trembled, "My...child..."
"Even if it's really for the child, you shouldn't do such a thing," Zhong Mingyu shook his head helplessly. "You don't need to say anything more now. Everything is a foregone conclusion. There's no need for you to say anything more. The current situation can't be changed."
After saying that, he reached out, pulled Li Yiqiu's hand away, then turned around and went upstairs.
Looking at Zhong Mingyu's leaving back, Li Yiqiu shed tears of regret.
However, her regret wasn't about attacking Zhong Nianyao. Rather, she regretted not planning carefully beforehand, which led to her downfall. More importantly, she shouldn't have acted alone, but should have sought help from others. It was her impatience that put her in this predicament.

After saying that, she ignored Li Yiqiu and turned to go upstairs.
After a busy night, she was tired and didn't plan to go back to the villa. She stayed at Zhong's house for the night.
Li Yiqiu was left there, and after a struggle, his eyes began to become firm. Finally, he gritted his teeth, as if he had made some decision.
Because of Li Yiqiu's matter, Zhong Nianyao felt a little tired after a whole night, so she didn't even ask Lu Yichen to see her off and went back to her room to rest.
After a night's rest, she got up full of energy, but as soon as she opened the door, she saw a scene that greatly affected her mood.
She saw a figure kneeling in front of her door. It was none other than Li Yiqiu.
"Second aunt, what do you mean by this?" Zhong Nianyao sneered, "Have you come here to kneel all morning? Or have you been kneeling all night? Also, what is your purpose in doing this?"
The irony of calling her "Second Aunt" was quite strong, especially considering what happened last night. After all, no elder would want to stab a younger person with a knife just for some nonsense, just to get their blood.
Li Yiqiu obviously heard the sarcasm in Zhong Nianyao's words. Her face flushed and she felt like running away. However, thinking of her purpose, she held back. Then she looked up and spoke sincerely, "Nianyao, what happened last night was all my fault. I apologize to you and hope you can forgive me."
"Oh!" Zhong Nianyao nodded calmly, not even bothering to ask Li Yiqiu to stand up. She simply looked down at Li Yiqiu and said, "And then? I've heard your apology. Just like I said last night, I don't forgive you."
"I will make it up to you." Li Yiqiu was very anxious. She even wanted to go forward and grab the corner of Zhong Nianyao's clothes. "Nianyao, as long as you are willing to forgive me, no matter what you want me to do, I am willing to do it."

You and I both know that the reason you're kneeling down to apologize to me is simply because your second uncle wants to divorce you, and you're anxious now, so you're here!"
