Chapter 486: Thick-skinned

She looked around and could see the surrounding environment clearly.
This should be a single room in a hospital, definitely a luxurious one. If it weren't for the snow-white bed and the equipment next to it, she might have thought it was a luxury suite in a five-star hotel.
However, what surprised her was that she was the only one in the ward and Lu Yichen was not there.
Just as I was thinking about it, the door of the room was pushed open and Lu Yichen walked in.
As soon as Lu Yichen entered the room, he saw Zhong Nianyao sitting up. A hint of surprise flashed in his eyes. He quickly stepped forward and checked her carefully. "How do you feel now?"
Zhong Nianyao smiled and said, "I'm fine! And, strangely enough, even the injuries I suffered from that demon seem to have healed now. It's really amazing!"
Ever since she woke up, she had checked herself with her spiritual power and found that she had no injuries at all.
She clearly remembered that she had suffered internal injuries when she had used all her strength to strike the demon before, but now she was completely free of any injuries and even felt a sense of relief.
Hearing Zhong Nianyao say that she was fine, Lu Yichen breathed a sigh of relief imperceptibly, then nodded, as if to say, "I'm glad you're okay."

After getting permission, the door was pushed open again, and it was Jiang Ruoyao who came in.

"This isn't thick-skinned; it's shameless." Zhong Nianyao shook her head amusedly, then continued, "He's so shameless because you're the best girl he could ever be. Being with you means he'll have to work less for a dozen years. So, how about it? Do you have the urge to reconcile?"
"Sister, what nonsense are you talking about!" Jiang Ruoyao quickly denied, "I'm not a fool. How could I believe the words of someone who pushed me out to die in a critical moment?"
