Chapter 288 Two Choices

Chapter 288 Two Choices

After hearing what the old lady said, Qiuyan could only nod towards Zhong Nianyao even though she was reluctant in her heart, "Master, please help me take a look."

Zhong Nianyao also saw the other party's distrust. She smiled and said, "Whether you want to count it or not is up to you. There is no need to compromise yourself for others."

"Master, please help me take a look!" Qiuyan smiled bitterly. "Actually, I also want to know if I still have a chance to become a mother."

In fact, she was also very conflicted. After so many years of marriage, she had been to the hospital countless times and tried many folk remedies, but she still couldn't get pregnant.

Because of this incident, her in-laws and husband constantly gave her the cold shoulder, mocking her as a hen that couldn't lay eggs. She felt like a sinner. Everyone blamed her for her inability to have children, leaving her feeling suffocated.

Her family had also advised her to divorce and stop going on like this, but she didn't dare. She was afraid that if she really divorced and returned to her family, it would bring shame to them.

Zhong Nianyao nodded, then pointed to the room opposite her, "Then sit down first!"

The old lady immediately stood up and helped Qiuyan sit down.

Zhong Nianyao asked Qiuyan to stretch out her right hand. After carefully examining her palm and face, she raised her head and looked at the old lady. She asked, "Auntie, do you have a photo of your son?"

Hearing Zhong Nianyao's question, the aunt was very surprised, "Why do you want to look at my son's? You can just look at my daughter-in-law's! The child is hers, not my son's. What does it have to do with my son?"

Zhong Nianyao felt a little speechless, "So what you mean is that it doesn't matter if the child is not your son, right?"

"How can that be!" The old lady's voice instantly rose several degrees. "Master, even if you really are a living god, you can't say such things!"

As she spoke, she couldn't help but glance at her daughter-in-law.

"Then show me a photo of your son." Zhong Nianyao said, "That way I can tell when they will have a child."

It was obvious that Qiuyan, the young wife in front of him, had been subjected to a lot of trouble by her in-laws because of her child. However, Qiuyan probably endured it all because of guilt! If things were really as she suspected, then this family would probably be in turmoil.

The aunt didn't know if she thought Zhong Nianyao's words made sense. She quickly dug out a photo of her son from her phone and handed it to Zhong Nianyao. "Little fairy, this is my son. He's so handsome! There were many girls chasing him back then, but he just fell in love with a girl who couldn't have children. If he had married someone else, maybe I would have a grandson by now."

As she spoke, her eyes were filled with disdain when she looked at Qiuyan.

The smile on Qiuyan's face became even more bitter, and she didn't dare to make any rebuttal.

Zhong Nianyao looked at the photo on the camera. It was just a man with a decent appearance, but he really couldn't be called handsome.

After taking a look, Zhong Nianyao looked at the young wife across from her again and asked, "Do you want to be a mother?"

"I do, I really do," Qiuyan said immediately, her tone carrying a hint of urgency, "As long as I can have a child, I'll do anything."

She once desperately wanted to have a child because of the expectations of those around her. But after going through so much, and seeing all her friends become parents, she truly wanted a child. More than anything else, she wanted a continuation of her own life, to become a mother and experience a complete life.

"What do you choose between the child and your current marriage?" Zhong Nian Yao asked again.

When this question was asked, both the aunt and Qiuyan were stunned. They looked at Zhong Nianyao with a hint of disbelief in their eyes.

A vague guess arose in Qiuyan's mind, "Master, what do you mean—"

She didn't know if her guess was true. If it was true, then what was the point of all the suffering she had endured over the years? And what was the point of all the years she had lived like a sinner?

"Little fairy, what do you mean?"

The auntie was no fool; she naturally understood what Zhong Nianyao meant. She stepped forward and slammed the table hard, her tone filled with anger, "Are you implying that my son's inability to have children is my fault?"

That fierce look seemed to be saying that if Zhong Nian Yao dared to agree, she would overturn the table in the next second.

Zhong Nianyao ignored the old lady. She looked at Qiuyan and continued, "If you continue to be with your current husband, you will be childless for the rest of your life. However, if you divorce your current husband, you can have another marriage. You will have a happy married life and a son and a daughter in the future. You will have a spouse by your side, filial children, and grandchildren to look after you."

She could tell that the young wife in front of her, Qiuyan, was a hardworking and kind person. Although her current life was full of unsatisfactory circumstances, she still managed to maintain a kind heart and helped others whenever she could.

Therefore, she was willing to tell the other party the results of both choices.

When Qiuyan heard Zhong Nianyao's first words, sadness filled her eyes. However, when she heard the rest, hope rekindled in her eyes, even a hint of anticipation. She longed for that kind of life, the day she had always dreamed of, and it was completely different from the hellish life she was currently in.

"You're a charlatan."

Seeing Qiuyan's appearance, the aunt was in a panic. When she looked at Zhong Nianyao again, she no longer had the trust she had before. Instead, she was filled with resentment. "How dare you talk nonsense here and instigate a divorce between my son and daughter-in-law? I won't let you go."

After saying that, she wanted to overturn Zhong Nianyao's table.

However, no matter how hard she tried, the table didn't seem to move at all.

Looking up, a pair of cold eyes without any warmth suddenly came into view. The aunt suddenly felt difficulty breathing and a strong sense of fear arose in her heart. The instinct of survival drove her to let go of her hand immediately, and then stepped back, with the fear on her face clearly visible.
