Chapter 027 Family Dinner

Chapter 027 Family Dinner

When Eli realized that Bai Su's "treating you to dinner" actually meant taking him to his neighbor's house for a free meal, he couldn't help but rolled his eyes.

"Come on, don't be shy." Bai Su urged him forward.

Even Allen dragged his arm and took him to Mrs. Susan's house. Seeing that he couldn't refuse, Eli had to put on a stern face and go with them to eat.

Lisa was leaning against the door waiting for them - she had also heard Bai Su's shouting just now, but she was not as fast as the two little tigers.

"Welcome back, farmer." Lisa winked at Bai Su.

"Good evening, Lisa. Do you mind if I join you for dinner?" Bai Su pointed at Eli, who was awkwardly shuffling his hands and feet. "And Eli, he's Alan and Gabi's uncle, a beautiful female snow leopard half-orc."

Lisa looked at Eli briefly, then looked away before she could piss him off. She whistled at him playfully, "I see. She's really beautiful."

She stepped aside to let them in. "Come on, dinner is ready. Faria told me you should be arriving tonight."

Bai Su put Gabi down and let him walk by himself, while she pushed Eli's back and brought the awkward beauty into Mrs. Susan's house.

As Lisa said, Mrs. Susan and her equally warm and kind husband were already waiting in the living room.

"Good evening, everyone." Bai Su said cheerfully.

Mrs. Susan came forward and gave Bai Su a big hug. "Oh? Look who's this? He looks even better than when he left!" She stepped back, looked at his face carefully, and then concluded, "Honey, you've gotten a little tan."

"Really?" Bai Su touched his cheek, "He must have gotten a tan from working in the fields."

"But it doesn't matter. It doesn't affect your handsomeness at all."

"I think so too."

After a few greetings, Bai Su pulled out Eli, who was hiding behind him due to a social anxiety attack, and introduced him to everyone.

Seeing that Eli was not good at socializing, Mrs. Susan did not deliberately show enthusiasm. She simply expressed her welcome to him and then invited everyone to the restaurant for dinner.

Bai Su was surprised to find that there was a large two-layer cake in the middle of the dining table!

He praised her sincerely, "Oh my God! Susan, I knew you were so creative. You make better cakes than me!"

Being praised by the person who taught her this skill, Mrs. Susan smiled from ear to ear: "Of course, although you are a wise farmer, if you ask me, when it comes to managing household chores, I'm afraid no one in the entire town of Boeing can compare to me!"

The children all cheered, "Yes! Mommy/Aunt Susan is the best!"

The atmosphere at the dinner table was very warm. In order to show consideration for Eli's first visit, Mrs. Susan first cut him a large piece of cake and then stopped paying him much attention.

With no one watching him, Eli indeed relaxed a lot.

The main topic tonight is Bai Su.

Bai Su picked and chose, and narrated the interesting things along the way like telling a story.

When talking about how she met Eli, even Gabi, who had been buried in her food, looked up and agreed loudly: "Uncle Eli is the most handsome orc in the whole forest!"

Everyone laughed in good-natured laughter.

Bai Su went to see Eli quietly and saw that the beautiful woman who usually looked so arrogant had buried her whole head in the cream cake, with only a pair of red ears exposed.

After dinner, during the casual conversation, the topic returned to the farm that Bai Su was building.

Having just seen some new facilities from a distance, Bai Su was not in a hurry to worry about the farm. Instead, he took this opportunity to talk about something he had been thinking about all the way.

"Susan, I really don't know how to thank you and your family." Bai Su said seriously, "If it weren't for kind-hearted neighbors like you, I wouldn't dare leave town for a long time."

He pinched Gabi's chubby cheeks and said, "Those two little tigers have caused you a lot of trouble, haven't they?"

Before Mrs. Susan could reply, her youngest son, Olin, answered first: "No, Brother Bai Su, Alan and Gabi didn't cause us any trouble. They are all my good friends, and they also have a good time with the kids in the Boy Scout camp."

"Really?" Bai Su looked at Allen, who was sitting upright with his chest puffed out. "Have you made a good friend?"

Allen nodded. It was obvious that he was very happy to meet those new human friends.

Lisa also added: "Every time I go to pick them up, the two children always say goodbye to their friends reluctantly."

The children’s sincere friendship is touching.

At this point, Bai Su finally and naturally stated his plan: "Lisa, thank you for your hard work in picking up the children from school every day. In fact, I have always felt that being just a restaurant waitress is a bit of a waste of your talents."

When these words were spoken, everyone was stunned.

Bai Su continued, "Have you ever thought about opening a restaurant of your own?"

Lisa and Mrs. Susan looked at each other. They seemed to have guessed what Bai Su meant, but they were not sure.

Finally, Mrs. Susan's husband coughed lightly and asked, "You mean..."

"That's right." Bai Su confirmed his guess with a smile, "I want to invite Lisa to run a restaurant on my farm."

Children don't understand why adults suddenly become silent.

It wasn't until Gabi went to get the second piece of cake that Lisa finally spoke: "Bai Su, if you want to thank us for taking care of your children these days, you don't have to go to this extent - that cake recipe is enough."

Lisa believed that the compensation Bai Su gave him far exceeded the help they gave him.

Bai Su looked at her directly and explained gently: "You may have misunderstood, Lisa, please listen to me..."

Bai Su told Lisa about his plan to start a modern farm and explained to her in detail what a farm stay is.

"...So, my farm really needs a restaurant. It must have a restaurant to provide dining services for the guests." Bai Su emphasized, "Every time I went to Benjamin's restaurant, your hospitality made me feel that you should be more than just a waiter."

Lisa was moved by his words. "I have always wanted to own a restaurant of my own," she said softly and firmly. "But I can't accept you giving me a restaurant for free."

"I think so." Bai Su admired this enthusiastic and determined girl very much. "So we should be partners."

"Partner?" The three asked at the same time.

Bai Su took out the blueprints he had prepared early in the morning from his luggage bag and said patiently, "Then let's talk about joining the restaurant..."
