Chapter 135 A Big Angry

Chapter 135 A Big Angry

"I want this, this, and two skewers of this!" Mei Yang half-crouched in front of the stall, pointing at the various grilled items on the volcanic rocks. He looked up and shook the Elf King's hand, saying, "Daddy, pay."

So the Elf King took out some copper coins from his purse and handed them to the Orc boss who had already packed the skewers that Mei Yang wanted and handed them over.

Mei Yang held a brown paper bag in one hand and happily ate skewers with the other. She couldn't be more beautiful.

The bonfire party was much more lively than he had imagined.

They came out of the manor and walked towards the town center with their backs to the beach. In the distance, Mei Yang heard laughter and faint singing.

He subconsciously pulled the Elf King faster and faster, and the snow crunched under his deerskin boots.

After turning the corner of an octagonal building, the view suddenly opened up. Mei Yang saw a huge bonfire that was six meters high at the end of the crowd and in the center of the square.

The flames were not orange-yellow, but rather brilliant as if cast by magic, with colors jumping between red, blue, and purple. The sparks burst out and exploded in mid-air, turning into brightly colored flowers.

"Wow! It's so beautiful!" Mei Yang jumped a few times on the spot. This was nothing like the big rural stage he had imagined.

Purple sky, snowy night, a fairytale-like European town, crowds of people thronged the square, a huge magical bonfire stood in the center, many people in uniform were holding hands and dancing around the bonfire, many vendors on both sides of the street were shouting enthusiastically, many people were coming and going in the middle of the road, couples holding hands, cute human children, centaurs, orcs with different features on their heads and tails, and even some beast-like orcs that were obviously not ordinary animals.

Mei Yang saw several people wearing black robes and hoods gathered in the shadow under the fire.

"They are magicians," the Elf King explained. "This magical bonfire is their work."

"Why are those people dancing around the bonfire?"

"To celebrate the harvest. Winter is the golden season for fishing, and every time there's a good harvest, everyone spontaneously holds celebrations. And since orcs particularly love bonfires, every few days you can see everyone celebrating in the square."

The scene where romance and magic intertwined made Mei Yang, a silly boy who had never seen the world, as happy as a newborn bird in the forest, and he dragged the Elf King around everywhere.

The fishing and hunting culture of the sailing town has been popular for a long time. Mei Yang noticed that most of the orcs setting up stalls were felines, and the goods they sold were mainly processed aquatic products: grilled fish, shrimp paste, dried fish, fish balls, etc.

The Elf King bought himself a bag of freshly squeezed juice. He asked Mei Yang if he wanted it. Mei Yang shook his head. In the middle of winter, only the elves could bear to eat fruits and drink juice with ice chips in it.

He was more interested in the steaming barbecue, fragrant bread, and sweet waffles. He pulled the Elf King to buy them from beginning to end. He kept eating and his hands were almost full - more was in the Elf King's hands.

"Meleida," Mei Yang asked, "you don't eat anything other than fruit?"

"We eat some food made from vegetables and wheat," the Elf King replied. "Elves don't like food with strong flavors, because we..."

"Because you admire nature, I understand. You like the original flavor."

"Um."

After almost finishing his meal, Mei Yang became interested in the gadgets on the street stalls again. He squatted on the ground and fiddled with them, looking up at the Elf King with expectant eyes, but he didn't say anything, waiting for the Elf King to take out money to buy them for him.

After the Elf King bought it, he came up to him softly, burying his face in the Elf King's chest and rubbing it to express his love.

The Elf King would have enjoyed it very much if he had not looked down and seen the oil stains left on his clothes by the little scoundrel.

"Melada, I'm super happy today. Are you happy? I hope you're happy too." Mei Yang asked very seriously.

They sat on a chair in the corner of the square. Mei Yang hugged one of the Elf King's arms, rested his chin on the strongest muscle of his arm, looked up, and insisted on telling him what was in his heart.

Mei Yang had just drunk a bag of grape juice. He suspected that the juice might have been fermented and had a hint of alcohol in it, causing him to feel a little dizzy now - not dizzy from a cold or fever, but dizzy from wanting to throw a tantrum.

So without thinking, he pulled the Elf King to the outermost edge and sat down, acting as if he wanted to be close to him and say sweet words to him.

The noisy voices in the square became the background sound of Mei Yang's speech. The Elf King lowered his eyes to look at him. The boy's black eyes were fuller and juicier than freshly picked grapes. As he spoke, the aroma of the grape juice he had just drunk came out of his mouth.

Or perhaps, his moist lips were themselves a purple-red grape cut in half.

"Happy." The Elf King replied.

How could he not be happy? He had known Mei Yang for only one day, a day that had seen him panic and comfort him when he first discovered him, to their heartwarming conversation after he woke up, to knowing that he was the destined partner given to him by the mother tree, and now, the two of them were dating in the square.

All of this was a surprise and a smooth journey that he had never experienced in all his life before.

In the long life of the Elf King, even though the lifespan of the elves is very long, he cannot avoid going through many times, witnessing the birth of those children, and then watching them grow old, get sick, die, and finally return to the mother tree.

Many people had tried to get close to Melida and admire her, but they eventually gave up. Occasionally, there were one or two people who were so enthusiastic that Melida looked at them differently, but before Melida could express her feelings, they had already left disappointed.

Over time, the Elf King became a snowy mountain. Everyone knew that he was unattainable, like some ancient oath that kept strangers away. Melida also knew that it was difficult for her to approach him.

Everyone found him difficult to approach.

He did not feel disappointed because he had probably gotten used to loneliness a long time ago. Later on, he didn't even think loneliness was unbearable.

Instead, this wonderful boy, his destined partner, suddenly appeared like a miracle. She made no secret of her fascination with him, clinging to him and keen to express her feelings.

The Elf King thought that it was indeed a good feeling to have a partner, especially a cute and clingy partner like Mei Yang.

At this age when I no longer expect long-term companionship, I suddenly have the urge to stay with someone forever.

"I've never been so happy," the Elf King added.

"As long as you are happy, hehe, I like you to be happy." Mei Yang looked closely at the Elf King's enlarged handsome face and was so fascinated that he almost drooled - he really drooled.

Mei Yang didn't notice it at first, but when he heard the Elf King sigh helplessly, and the hand that was not held by him supported the side of his face, and wiped the corner of his mouth with his thumb, Mei Yang realized that he looked a little embarrassing.

His face flushed, he rubbed his chin carelessly with his palm, and gently bit the tender flesh in his mouth with his teeth. He defended himself: "It's because of the grape juice. My mouth is sour... I don't usually drool."

Mei Yang's second half of the sentence seemed to lack confidence, as he seemed to remember that he had slept on the Elf King's chest some time ago and drooled at the same time.

"Hmm." The Elf King didn't say much. He was the one who picked the grape juice for Mei Yang. It was a bit sour and it really made people salivate.

He thought about it, took out a teething stick from the pile of things he bought for Mei Yang, and stuffed it into Mei Yang's mouth.

The rye biscuits were very dry and choking, which was just right for Mei Yang to relieve his excessive saliva secretion.

After acting coquettishly for a while, Mei Yang came to her senses a little.

Fireworks were set off in the center of the square, and colorful flowers exploded above their heads. The sound of the explosion was not actually loud, but because of the cheers and singing, it seemed extremely lively.

The Elf King was attracted by the sound and subconsciously looked up at the sky. In his original world, what kind of fireworks show had Mei Yang not seen on TV?

He didn't look at the blooming homemade fireworks, but stared at the man's slightly raised profile without blinking.

Mei Yang could see the flickering light on the Elf King's face, flickering and extinguishing over and over again, just like his growing obsession with this man.

Thinking back carefully, it seemed that during these three encounters, his personality became stronger with each time the timeline moved forward, and he was no longer as calm as when we first met.

He used to laugh and joke.

What on earth did he go through to become like that?

Mei Yang felt a little distressed, but more excited. He thought, no one can refuse a snow mountain melting into gentle water in front of them. Absolutely no one can refuse.

At least he couldn't, he even wanted to boil the melted water.

I really want to confess to him, tell him that I like him, am obsessed with him, and am deeply fascinated by him.

But I’ve already said it many times today, so forget it, let’s wait for next time.

Thinking of this, Mei Yang suppressed his pounding heart, leaned quietly against the Elf King, and watched the fireworks of the evening party with him.

At midnight, they walked back on the shadow of the moon.

Mei Yang and the Elf King each held several brown paper bags in their hands, filled with food, toys, and daily necessities.

Mei Yang took small steps, but he didn't ask the Elf King to slow down and wait for him because of this. He seemed to enjoy following the Elf King a little, jumping and skipping.

They are just like those naughty kids in the tribe, the Elf King thought.

"Oh!" Mei Yang suddenly howled.

He accidentally stepped on a pebble and almost fell. He stumbled forward a few steps and bumped into the man's back.

"What's wrong?" The Elf King quickly turned around and supported him.

"Nothing, I just tripped... I dropped something!" Mei Yang's bag of small wooden sculptures fell to the ground. He hurriedly squatted down to pick them up, and did not forget to order the Elf King, "Daddy, help me find it."

So the Elf King also squatted down to help him pick up the toys.

A gust of wind blew, carrying a few withered leaves past the Elf King.

He suddenly felt a little flustered and subconsciously raised his eyes, but saw nothing around him except snow and red brick roads.

Not a single person.

"Mei..." Before he could finish his words, the feeling of panic came to an abrupt end.

The Elf King didn't know how he appeared here, holding a few scattered wooden toys in his hands. Maybe he came out for a walk?

Why would I go out for a walk so late at night?

He was confused, but he couldn't find any specific clues, so he could only let the feeling pass away quietly.

He thought about it and picked up the toys on the ground, then walked towards the manor with the messy snacks in his arms.

At the same time, on Mei Yang's side.

He had just picked up the small wooden sculpture that had fallen in front of him, and took two steps to pick up one farther away. When he looked up, he felt dizzy for a moment. When he forced himself to endure the moment when his mind and vision were blurred, he had not yet opened his eyes to see the situation clearly.

Suddenly, with a whoosh, a sharp arrow flew past his cheek and with a duang sound it hit the big tree behind him.

"Who are you?" A handsome man riding on an albino moose not far away asked coldly, looking at the human boy who was standing at attention in fear.

Mei Yang was dumbfounded.

He looked at the surrounding scenery, which was clearly spring and summer, and then looked at the Elf King Melida, who was looking at him warily.

Regardless of whether he had traveled through time or not, Mei Yang was very angry now.

His face burned with pain.

Mei Yang put his hands on his hips and shouted angrily: "Meleida! What are you doing? How dare you shoot me with an arrow? I am your husband!"
