Chapter 93 Get the Order

Chapter 93 Get the Order

Vesperia followed the distant and ethereal singing and walked along the beach from one end of the island to the other.

And the closer he got, the more eager he became.

I long to fall into the deep sea with that voice, to wander in the blue ocean and perish on the cliffs at the bottom of the sea...

He had to find that voice.

As the sun sets, the coastline is stretched out, the orange-red sun hangs within reach, and the sea and the sky are almost the same color.

Vespera didn't know how long he had been walking, his legs were already extremely sore.

But fortunately, we are getting closer and closer to that sound.

He had a premonition that if he walked a little further and went around the huge reef, the person he was looking for would be behind the reef.

With this thought in mind, Vesperia stepped into the water.

"Your Highness!" shouted the guards following behind him from a distance.

Vespera turned around subconsciously. The moment he turned around, he seemed to have forgotten that he had just been seduced by the singing to walk into the sea. He only remembered that he felt bored after dinner and planned to take a walk.

Now standing in the sea, maybe he just wanted to go to a deeper place to pick up some shells?

unimportant.

"Don't worry about me, don't follow me, I'm fine." After saying this, Vespera turned around again.

The expression on his face once again turned into that of an obsessed madness.

Vesperia was about to go around the huge reef and meet the owner of the beautiful voice when she heard the singing suddenly stop with a shrill scream.

Vespera was immediately startled awake.

Then, he saw a figure that looked like a girl but had huge bird wings, rushing into the sky from behind the reef.

Vesperia couldn't see her face clearly, but she caught a glimpse of her fair skin under her black hair.

He carefully went around the back of the reef, and only a handful of gray feathers were left floating on the water - the feathers left by the girl.

With wings on her back, is she an angel or a devil?

Vespera picked up a feather in a daze. At this moment, he heard the sound of water breaking beside him. He turned around and saw the beautiful mermaid with blue hair and golden eyes.

"Naga." Vespera called Naga's name with some surprise.

Of course he was happy to see his life-saving fish again.

The setting sun shines on the mermaid's naked upper body muscles, creating a diamond-like luster, giving the already beautiful male mermaid a sacred glow.

"So beautiful." Vespera exclaimed.

He thought, even if he had only seen one mermaid, Naga, but according to the natural law that male animals generally look more beautiful and aggressive than female animals in order to attract mates, he was afraid that if another female mermaid appeared here now, on the dusk coast, she would never be more beautiful than Naga.

Vesperia extended a hand to Naga. The clever mermaid quickly understood what he meant and used her index finger, whose nails had been gnawed off in the morning and had not yet grown back, to slowly write on the palm of his hand: Thank you, you are very handsome too, Prince.

Vespera was amused by his cute yet serious look. He thought, my meeting with Naga is really like the meeting between the prince and the little mermaid in the fairy tale.

He couldn't help but think of the girl with wings on her back.

Vespera simply sat down on the reef—and even after he sat down, he didn't forget to turn sideways and make a "hush" gesture to the guards hidden in the trees. On the one hand, he wanted them to see that he was safe, and on the other hand, he wanted them to stay where they were and not move. He was afraid that strangers would disturb the naga—he swung his legs, and the naga half-penetrated the water, its snake tail coiled on the fine sand at the bottom.

Both the man and the fish are in a very relaxed posture.

Vespera said casually, "I heard a beautiful song from afar and chased after it, but I couldn't see who it was. I wonder if it was the girl from before? Her back is beautiful, I'd say. Perhaps she's a princess from heaven?"

Vesperia was about to ask Naga if she knew the girl when she saw the male mermaid, who originally had a confused look on his face, suddenly bared his teeth at him.

The look on her face, like she was hunting, frightened the defenseless Vesperia so much that she fell back and almost fell off the reef.

Vesperia quickly put her hands on the stone to adjust her sitting position, and managed to stabilize her body.

He looked at Naga, but she looked away, not meeting his gaze. Her long tail twisted in the water, as if she was secretly happy about the success of her prank - as long as she didn't really have the intention to attack anyone.

Vespera is still a little afraid of the Nagas. He has many feelings towards the Nagas: gratitude, appreciation, love, fear... a little of each.

After the false alarm, Vespera asked Naga, "What happened? Did I say something wrong?"

Adhering to the principle of showing goodwill to wild animals first, he extended his hand again.

This time, he was beaten back by the angry mermaid.

A not-too-heavy slap landed on Vespera's palm, clearly telling him that the male mermaid in front of him was angry.

Vespera didn't understand what went wrong. Naga's moods were so changeable, and she seemed to refuse to communicate. She glared at her angrily, and there seemed to be some tears of grievance in her beautiful golden eyes.

Vesperia felt a little guilty when he looked at her.

He had no choice but to coax her humbly: "Tell me where I was wrong, and I will never say that again, okay?"

Naga nodded.

Vespera said, "Then let me ask you again. If it's right, you nod, and if it's wrong, you shake your head. That girl just now, is she a princess?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Naga did not shake her head as he said, but bared her teeth viciously again.

His fine, saw-like white teeth looked really intimidating, and Vesperia was almost scared to death by him.

He paused, then said politely, "I see. She's not a princess. And if you ask me, she's nowhere near as beautiful as you."

Naga was easily coaxed into submission, a big, sweet smile appearing on his face.

Now, Vespera knew that Naga was probably acquainted with the girl just now, and that he hated the girl and did not like her to praise her beauty or call her princess.

Vespera continued to ask, "Then the singing I just heard, perhaps it wasn't her singing?"

No response.

Vespera continued, "The singing is beautiful."

There was still no nod or shake of the head - at least it showed that Naga was not angry with him.

Moreover, he tilted his head slightly, as if he was thinking about something.

Vesperia had an idea. He remembered the settings in fairy tales and some of the speculations people had about mermaids in the legends.

He asked Naga, "Or does that beautiful singing actually come from your voice? Naga, do you have a beautiful singing voice?"

Naga blinked and looked at Vespera for a long time.

Just when Vespera thought he had guessed wrong again, he finally nodded very lightly.

This means to acknowledge.

Vespera thought, it turns out that the voice that drove me crazy was actually the Naga singing. No wonder he was so angry when I praised that girl.

I misunderstood.

After figuring it out, Vespera said sincerely, "Your singing is truly beautiful, like a work of art. Would you be willing to sing for me again?"

Naga gently opened his mouth and blew out a colorful bubble. Just like before, even if he opened his mouth, it was only for other reasons and no sound was made at all.

Vespera was a little disappointed, but he didn't force it and just passed the subject over with a charming smile.

One man and one fish, one sitting on the reef, the other sitting cross-legged on the beach, looking at the orange sun in the distance together, until it changed from a full circle to a half circle and finally disappeared.

This was the first sunset they had ever seen together.

The sky had completely darkened, and a few rapid bird calls were heard from the woods. Vespera knew that it was the guards urging him to return to the camp.

"Naga." Vespera gently called out to the mermaid who was still staring at the sea level in fascination.

"Boo." It was not the sound of Naga speaking, but a small bubble coming out of his mouth again when he turned his head to look at Vespera.

"Haha, you're so cute." Vesperia couldn't help but praise. The male mermaid who could blow bubbles was really cute.

He jumped off the reef, not caring at all that his expensive pants and leather shoes were soaked in sea water again, and even sat cross-legged in the water.

Now, the prince and the mermaid are facing each other and looking at each other at eye level.

Vespera asked the Naga, "I have a humble request—could you pick some sea plants for me every day? For example, kelp, seaweed, or sea grapes. My companions and I need these plants to supplement our nutrition, otherwise we will get sick."

As he said this, he gently placed his hand on Naga's tail.

When the back of her hand touched the cold snake's tail, Vespella felt that it was covered with not only fine scales, but also some liquid that was more sticky than sea water.

Naga was not offended by his slightly intimate gesture. Instead, she thought about it seriously and wrote on Vesperia's palm: Will you get sick too?

"Yes, if I don't get enough nutrients from vegetables...I'll get sick too," Vespera replied. "May I ask you, beautiful mermaid?"

Naga nodded heavily.

He was very happy to be praised for his beauty. He pursed his lips and showed a shy smile on his face. He looked pure and beautiful.

But Vespera was not fooled by the beautiful face of the mermaid. He took advantage of the victory and discussed the "delivery of food" with Naga.

"Is it convenient for you in the morning? Not convenient? How about the afternoon? Okay, then in the afternoon. Let's meet at this reef when the sun is brightest in the afternoon. I will bring you some gifts, and you need to help me pick some sea plants. How about it?" Vespera watched Naga nod and shake his head, and confirmed the specific content of the transaction with him.

Both parties seemed to be quite satisfied with this arrangement. At least this was evidenced by the increasingly charming smile on Vespera's face and the Naga's actions of constantly slapping the sand in the water, muddying the sea water.

After bidding farewell to the Naga and on the way back to the camp with the guards, Vespera spoke highly of this after-dinner walk: she listened to music, watched the sunset, had the company of mermaids, and even tricked the mermaids into working for her. Everything couldn't be more perfect.

Today, I am also a perfect prince.
