Chapter 2 You're Handsome

Chapter 2 You're Handsome

The dimly lit room was like a monster with its mouth wide open, ready to devour people, and Wang Yan stood in the middle.

Seeing that Wang Yan remained silent for a long time, Su Yueming began to lose his patience.

"Or is it that you imprisoned me because you like me?"

Su Yueming tried to speak softly, but his voice trembled uncontrollably.

After all, it's a case of mutual affection and perfect match; it would be a lie to say they weren't excited.

The words reached Wang Yan's ears, and he shook his head without hesitation, his voice sharp, "No."

The word "like" is too heavy, and he is too insecure.

He felt that saying the words "I like Su Yueming" was an insult to Su Yueming.

"I imprisoned you... because you're handsome," Wang Yan hurriedly added, racking his brains to come up with an answer.

The room fell silent instantly, and Su Yueming's joy was put on hold.

Handsome?

These three words left Su Yueming with a bitter taste in his mouth.

If he weren't handsome, would Wang Yan have kept him in prison?

Wang Yan stood by the bed, observing Su Yueming lying on the large bed without blinking. Because he knew him too well, he could tell from Su Yueming's tightly pursed lips and tense jaw that he was experiencing emotional changes.

Su Yueming was unhappy, or even angry.

Wang Yan blinked, realizing he hadn't provoked him.

Is it a sin to say he's handsome?

"If someone becomes more handsome than me in the future, will you imprison them too?" Su Yueming, lying on the bed, asked in a low voice.

Wang Yan stood dumbfounded by the bedside, wondering what all this was all about.

"No one is more handsome than you."

These words brightened Su Yueming's mood considerably.

Although Wang Yan didn't admit to being in love, admitting that he's handsome is certainly a form of encouragement.

He will definitely make Wang Yan forget his good looks and fall in love with him as a person!

Su Yueming made a silent vow in his heart.

Wang Yan didn't want to dwell on the issue any longer. He let out a soft sigh and said, "Are you hungry? I made some porridge. I'll go get it."

After saying that, Wang Yan pushed open the door and left the bedroom.

He closed the door ajar, leaned against the wall, and unconsciously placed his fingers on his heart.

A thousand emotions were swirling within him, causing his body to tremble.

"I won't do anything to him, I just want him to keep me company."

Wang Yan murmured to himself, his slightly long hair obscuring his eyes, making it impossible to see the emotions in them.

After a while, he stood up and slowly walked into the kitchen.

He ladled the cooked congee with preserved egg and lean pork into a bowl, then stirred it continuously with a spoon until it was at a suitable temperature before carefully carrying it into the bedroom.

Su Yueming maintained the same posture he had when he left, as if he were waiting for him.

Although it was self-deception, this realization still made Wang Yan feel happy.

He remained standing by the bed, making no presumptuous move, and asked politely, "Would you like me to help you up?"

He hadn't tasted Wang Yan's cooking yet, and his eagerness to try it reached its peak, so Su Yueming nodded decisively.

"good."

Wang Yan placed the porridge on the bedside table, leaned down and supported Su Yueming's shoulders, his palms pressed tightly against his warm flesh.

With a quick pull, he released his grip once Su Yueming was seated firmly.

They were as fast as thieves.

Su Yueming, of course, also sensed it, and angrily bit his lip with his upper teeth.

But her mind raced. "My hands are handcuffed, I can't eat by myself."

Wang Yan thought Su Yueming wanted him to unlock his handcuffs so he could find a chance to escape.

So he said in a deep voice, "I will not unlock your handcuffs."

However, this was exactly what Su Yueming was waiting for, and he immediately replied without hesitation: "Then I'll need you to feed me."

Wang Yan looked down at Su Yueming's hands, which were handcuffed together. The struggle at the beginning had already left red marks on his wrists.

He pursed his lips, his heartache evident.

But he did nothing, because he knew he couldn't reveal that he felt sorry for Su Yueming.

Su Yueming is a smart man. If he finds out, Wang Yan will be the one who gets manipulated in the end.

Then there's no need to imprison him for seven days; Wang Yan should release him that very day.

Wang Yan forced himself to look away, and only after confirming that Su Yueming was indeed unable to eat by himself did he slowly pick up the bowl of porridge.

Su Yueming leaned comfortably against the headboard, and before the spoon could even reach him, he had already opened his mouth wide.

The heavy curtains completely blocked out the light from outside the window, with only the old bedside lamp emitting an orange-yellow glow.

Wang Yan's figure was reflected on the wall, and every movement seemed to be magnified countless times.

His gaze fell on Su Yueming's half-open, rosy lips. If Wang Yan hadn't carefully observed his lip color while he was unconscious, he would have really suspected that Su Yueming wore lipstick every day.

The spoon touched his lips, and Su Yueming took the spoon into his mouth without hesitation.

Their cooperation surprised even Wang Yan.

Since cooperating would save Wang Yan from saying any insincere threats, Wang Yan began the task of feeding the animals with unwavering focus.

The bowl of congee with preserved egg and lean pork was quickly emptied by Su Yueming.

Because he was being fed the porridge instead of drinking it himself, some porridge stains inevitably ended up on Su Yueming's lips.

After staring for two seconds, Wang Yan quickly looked away, put down the spoon in his hand, and subconsciously went to find a tissue, wanting Su Yueming to wipe himself.

Wang Yan pulled out two pieces of paper from the drawer and was about to stuff them into Su Yueming's hand.

Under Wang Yan's watchful gaze, Su Yueming stuck out his rosy half-tongue and licked away the porridge stains from the corner of his mouth.

Did you make this porridge yourself?

"ah?"

Wang Yan's brain was still replaying the scene from earlier, and he answered almost mechanically, "Yes... I did it myself."

"It's delicious."

Su Yueming turned his head to look in the direction of Wang Yan based on his intuition and spoke truthfully.

Wang Yan couldn't believe Su Yueming would say that. Who would praise someone who had imprisoned them?

He naturally took this as Su Yueming's tact, trying to please someone who could currently control his life, which was perfectly acceptable.

You could even say he did the right thing, but Wang Yan wasn't happy at all.

"Thanks."

Wang Yan spoke expressionlessly and in a very stiff manner.
