Is Chapter 44 not allowed?

Wang Yan took two days off, plus Saturday and Sunday, for a total of four days.

Wang Yan didn't sleep well at all that night.

He dreamed of his past, dreamed of himself huddled in a corner with tears streaming down his face, dreamed of working mechanically in a restaurant.

These experiences were not part of his social training, but rather a past from which he had no control.

"Why, why did this happen...?"

Wang Yan murmured unconsciously.

Su Yueming opened his eyes in the darkness and saw Wang Yan's tightly furrowed brows and the fine beads of sweat on his forehead.

He quickly reached out and pulled Wang Yan into his arms, gently patting his shoulder with his fingers.

"Don't be afraid, I'm here, I'll always be here..."

Su Yueming didn't know what Wang Yan was dreaming about, so he could only repeatedly comfort him.

His heart felt as if it had been thrown into the deep sea, with wave after wave engulfing him.

Seeing Wang Yan in pain, Su Yueming also felt very sad.

A warm kiss landed on Wang Yan's forehead, and Su Yueming said softly, "You still have me, I will always love you."

Wang Yan seemed to have really heard it; his tense body relaxed, and his brows returned to a smooth expression.

Su Yueming also breathed a sigh of relief, his gaze carefully tracing Wang Yan's face through the blindfold.

The cool moonlight streamed in, enveloping the two of them, and their love was almost overflowing.

Wang Yan woke up very early; he opened his eyes as soon as it was just getting light.

Wang Yan was being held tightly by Su Yueming from behind, and he had gotten used to it after so many days.

He skillfully removed Su Yueming's arm from his body and then carefully got off the bed.

Having found the key, he bent down and unlocked the iron lock that was binding Su Yueming's ankle.

Because of the long-term wear of Su Yueming's ankles, red marks had been rubbed off, which silently pierced Wang Yan's heart like fine needles.

It blatantly tells Wang Yan that it is evidence of his illegal detention of Su Yueming.

Wang Yan could only quickly avert his gaze, as if that would make it seem like nothing had happened.

Su Yueming woke up very early today, before seven o'clock.

When Wang Yan saw that he had woken up, he brought breakfast to him.

"We'll leave after you finish breakfast."

Su Yueming readily complied with the arrangement, saying, "Okay."

He finished his breakfast in less than ten minutes.

"Get out of bed."

It was only then that Su Yueming realized that his legs were no longer restrained and that he could walk freely.

He got out of bed decisively, feeling great to be able to move around freely.

Wang Yan didn't bring any luggage. After helping Su Yueming change his clothes, he took his hand and left the house.

He met the old lady who lived upstairs when he went downstairs.

The old lady looked like she had just come back from grocery shopping; she was carrying pork in her left hand and fruit in her right.

Are you going out?

The old lady greeted him.

Wang Yan lived here for a long time, so it was inevitable that people upstairs and downstairs would get to know each other.

"Yes," Wang Yan couldn't pretend not to hear, so he had no choice but to ask, "Why did you buy so many groceries today?"

"My eldest grandson is here today." The old lady smiled, her gaze falling on Su Yueming beside Wang Yan. "Who is he? Is he your friend?"

Wang Yan remained expressionless and did not deny it, "Yes."

"Is his eye injured? Why is it covered?"

The old lady was a kind-hearted person, and she asked with concern.

Wang Yan glanced at Su Yueming, then slightly shielded him from the old lady's probing gaze.

"He just had eye surgery and it's not convenient for him to be exposed to light," Wang Yan made up a reason. He raised his hand to look at the time and said again, "I have to go now, we need to catch our train."

"Okay, okay."

The old lady stepped aside to make way for the two of them.

Wang Yan led Su Yueming down the stairs until the old lady was no longer in sight.

Wang Yan finally breathed a sigh of relief; it would be a lie to say he wasn't nervous.

His hands turned icy cold from anxiety.

"Don't be afraid."

Su Yueming suddenly spoke.

Wang Yanxun turned his head to look at him, and Su Yueming gripped his fingers tightly in return under his gaze.

He was stating his position.

Wang Yan understood, of course. He smiled and said, "Let's go."

The weather is lovely today, with warm sunshine bathing everyone.

Because he didn't have Su Yueming's ID card, Wang Yan couldn't book a high-speed rail ticket, so he chose to take a bus home.

Because the journey was quite long, Wang Yan bought several bags of bread and some sausages when he passed by the supermarket.

When checking out, Wang Yan noticed that the sales clerk's gaze kept falling on Su Yueming beside her.

Wang Yan knew that there was no malice in her gaze, but rather amazement and admiration.

Wang Yan had seen this kind of gaze directed at Su Yueming far too many times.

But he just wasn't feeling well.

"The money has been sent."

Wang Yan suddenly raised his voice, finally making the salesperson look away.

"OK."

Wang Yan carried a plastic bag in one hand and held Su Yueming's hand with the other, quickly leaving.

Su Yueming's gaze was hidden behind the blindfold, but he took in all of Wang Yan's actions.

Is Wang Yan jealous of him?

This realization made Su Yueming secretly delighted, as if every cell in his body was filled with joy.

The moment he stepped out of the store, Su Yueming deliberately stopped.

"What's wrong?"

Wang Yan looked at Su Yueming, puzzled.

Without warning, Su Yueming leaned down and kissed his cheek, his soft lips pressed against his face.

Wang Yan's brown eyes widened slightly in disbelief. He subconsciously looked around, afraid of being seen by others.

It wasn't because he felt ashamed of being gay, but because he wasn't used to being the center of attention.

Fortunately, no one saw it, and Wang Yan breathed a sigh of relief.

What are you doing!

His voice was serious, but paired with his frightened, deer-like appearance, it had no intimidating power whatsoever.

All that remained in Su Yueming's eyes was cuteness.

"I want to kiss you."

Su Yueming spoke frankly, without the slightest hesitation.

“Of course I know that.” Wang Yan’s ears burned. “But… we’re outside!”

"Can't we kiss in public?"

Su Yueming asked a good question.

Wang Yan didn't know how to refute for a moment, "Uh...no, not really."

"That's fine then." Su Yueming was very good at pushing his luck. He said, "Then I want to kiss you again."

Seeing that he was about to continue, Wang Yan quickly put his hand against his chest.

"Stop fooling around, we still need to catch the train."

"Okay, then we'll save this kiss for next time."

Su Yueming followed Wang Yan's footsteps and walked further and further away.

The scene was witnessed by a supermarket clerk, who murmured, "Sure enough, all the handsome guys in the world like other handsome guys."

The bus arrived right on time. As the door opened, Wang Yan led Su Yueming aboard and they sat down in the last row.

Wang Yan was worried that Su Yueming would get carsick, so he had him sit by the window.

“The journey is a bit long. If you get sleepy, you can lean on my shoulder and sleep,” Wang Yan said to Su Yueming, turning his head to the side.

"I know." Su Yueming paused, a smile playing on his lips. "If you feel sleepy, you can lean on my shoulder and sleep."
