Happy wedding!
During the two days the two stayed in the wooden cabin, Chen Chi did quite a bit of a nuisance to him.
The heating in the room was so strong that Chu Sinian was almost sweating, and he felt like he was about to fall apart after being slammed against the wooden door.
Chen Chi was incredibly excited after returning from the cemetery. Apart from mealtimes, the two of them were practically inseparable. Chen Chi, like a wild horse, kept pressing him for details about his departure back then, asking how he was doing in Switzerland, what he did with Yu Shi, who he met, and what their names were.
Later, when Chu Sinian was pressed for answers, he had no choice but to answer each question carefully, his voice trembling.
But Chen Chi didn't back down at all, and instead pressed him even harder, asking what he did in high school and what people he associated with. Chen Chi remembered all the rumors that had circulated, and asked about them one by one. If he got an unsatisfactory answer, he would press harder; if he learned it was a rumor, he would make Chu Sinian rest for a few seconds.
A few days ago, Chu Sinian had been very indulgent towards Chen Chi because he was afraid that the separation would be too difficult for him. But now, even the greatest patience had been broken by Chen Chi. Five finger marks were left on his cold and handsome face, just as red as the finger marks on Chu Sinian's waist and buttocks.
That last time, Chu Sinian was pinned to the kitchen counter, his mind and body completely disoriented, his body covered in marks, and he was almost unconscious.
Chen Chi leaned behind him, his voice low and tender, seemingly gentle, "You know, baby, you were still a bit immature back then, and that's when I wanted to do this."
He gently lifted Chu Sinian's hand and kissed it, while his other large hand mercilessly gripped his waist like a storm.
Chen Chi lifted Chu Sinian's chin with his soft hand, gesturing for him to open his eyes and look at the room where Chen Chi used to live. His voice was deep and hoarse. "I slept there every night, thinking about you all the time. I didn't know anything or understand anything back then, and I even hated you, but I still dreamed of doing it with you a thousand times."
After saying that, he tormented Chu Sinian like a madman. Chu Sinian was pinned to the stage and broke down crying. He heard Chen Chi whispering and kissing him like a devil, "Tell me, aren't we a match made in heaven?"
Chu Sinian cried so hard that his face was flushed like a ripe cherry, and the messy marks on his body made him look both disheveled and gorgeous, showing a unique, decadent and fragile ultimate beauty.
Seeing that he couldn't take it anymore, Chen Chi hugged him to comfort him and kissed his tearful eyes, "Isn't that going too far?"
He stuck out his scarlet tongue and licked away his tears. "Just a little while longer."
They left the cabin on the third day, and Chu Sinian was carried into the car while his legs were still weak.
Chen Chi wanted to let him rest for another day, but Chu Sinian insisted on leaving, and he couldn't persuade him otherwise.
Chen Chi placed a soft pad under his waist, fastened his seatbelt, adjusted the seat to a comfortable angle, and then walked to the other end of the car to get in.
The road back to the city was a bit congested; it would take more than three hours to get to Kong Bo's house.
They arrived at the service area a little after 11 a.m. Chen Chi sat in the passenger seat and observed Chu Sinian's condition. His face was normal, but he looked listless and tired.
Chen Chi took his hand, placed it in his palm, and kissed it. "Where does it hurt?"
Chu Sinian barely opened one eye to look at him, his voice soft and hoarse, "My whole body aches, but I'm mainly sleepy."
Chen Chi said, "I applied the medicine yesterday. Let me lift up your clothes so I can see how serious it is."
Chu Sinian didn't really want to talk to him. "Who told you to be so inhuman? I thought you were going to get a fever."
Chen Chi lowered his head and gently bit his fingertip again, "No, I can't bear to."
Chu Sinian gave him a cold laugh, "Pretending."
There wasn't much food at the service area, and Chen Chi didn't want Chu Sinian to make do, so he insisted on going to a restaurant that looked relatively clean. He transferred money to the restaurant owner and borrowed their kitchen to cook three dishes and a soup.
He only woke up Chu Sinian in the car after the dishes were served.
Chen Chi instinctively tried to pick him up by his legs, but Chu Sinian gave him a light kick to the shin. "I can walk by myself."
After resting for a morning, he felt much better, except for some soreness in his body.
He walked slowly, and when he arrived at the shop, he was a little surprised to see the three familiar dishes. "Why are they all my favorites? They look just like the ones you make."
Chu Sinian walked to the chair and sat down. Chen Chi sat next to him and served him food. "I made this."
Chu Sinian opened his mouth slightly, glanced at the shopkeeper's curious gaze, and suddenly covered his face and switched places with Chen Chi, eating behind him. "Actually, I'll just eat something simple. I'm not picky about this kind of environment."
Over the past few years, Chu Sinian has worked tirelessly on projects and research, enduring all sorts of hardships. When conditions were good, he lived a better life; when they were bad, he made do. He even climbed trees in the wild to eat fruit.
I doubt any of Ning Zicheng and the others would believe me if I said that.
Chen Chi took out a wet wipe and cleaned his hands carefully, one wipe at a time. "You can, but I won't allow it."
Lunch consisted mostly of carbohydrates. Chu Sinian, who hadn't slept much the night before, became drowsy again while eating. Surprisingly, he didn't resist Chen Chi and obediently let him carry him to the car.
The occasional bumpy ride made Chu Sinian's sleep a little restless. In a half-awake state, he leaned his head against the driver's seat and smelled a familiar scent that seemed to soothe him back to sleep.
—
After visiting both families, Chen Chi was already preparing for his wedding with Chu Sinian.
The venue is tentatively set as an Irish church. Neither of them has any elders to invite, so they will only send invitations to friends.
Ning Zicheng was shocked when she found out, exclaiming that the two were moving too fast. Yu Shi and Kong Bo, on the other hand, accepted it well, after all, they had witnessed the two's journey together.
At three o'clock in the afternoon in Ireland, the sun is shining brightly. Looking down from the mountains, the snow covers the entire pine forest, and the wind blows through the pines, caressing the hearts of lovers.
Chu Sinian wore a white suit, simple makeup, and a long, floor-length veil over her fluffy, soft hair.
He placed his hand on his chest, feeling the wind pass through him, and turned to look at the person beside him. "I never thought this day would come."
Chen Chi's throat moved, a gentle smile curving his lips, his eyes filled with silent affection. "I never thought of that either."
Chu Sinian's right hand was being held tightly, and he squeezed it back, saying, "I don't quite believe it. You did everything to me in your dreams, how could you not have thought about it?"
Chen Chi said, "I never thought this day would come. I thought we would never have a chance."
Chu Sinian tilted his head, the wind ruffling his hair by his ear before Chen Chi gently pressed it down. "The day you confessed to me, you said you would never let me go. I don't think I heard you wrong."
Chen Chi listened to his teasing without any resentment and said frankly, "Yeah, I want to spend my whole life with you like this."
"Is there nothing else besides this?"
“Yes. If someone loves you more than I do…” But as he pondered this further, he frowned and dismissed the idea. “It’s impossible for anyone to love you more than I do. There’s no other way.”
Chu Sinian didn't press him for the unspoken meaning, and a group of friends surged up behind him—
"Chu Sinian! You came to get married without saying a word! Do you know how hard it was for me to get to this godforsaken place?! I almost threw up from the car ride!"
"Brother Sinian! Long time no see..."
“Si Nian, I’ve prepared a big red envelope for you. You and your husband will have to give me a generous gift later.”
Chu Sinian turned around and watched them lead Chen Chi away, and said with a smile, "I'll definitely give you a big wedding gift when you get married."
Kong Bo, carrying the wedding gifts, handed them to him with a look of great joy in his eyes, saying, "Si Nian, happy marriage."
Chu Sinian accepted it, everything was understood without words.
Ning Zicheng and Yu Shi rushed over. One stared at him with wide eyes, while the other said, on the verge of tears, "Brother! I'm so happy to see you happy!"
Chu Sinian ruffled Yu Shi's hair, "You've already taken over the head office, why are you still such a crybaby?"
Ning Zicheng said eagerly, "You're wearing makeup today! You look so beautiful!"
Chen Chi glanced at him but didn't say anything.
Chu Sinian saw this and said with a helpless smile, "It's necessary for a wedding. Such a solemn event should be treated specially."
Ning Zicheng then took a look around at the venue for their wedding.
Surrounded by an endless sea of flowers, with a cliff in front of them bathed in sunlight and a large, ancient and exquisite church behind them, soothing and romantic music flowed quietly like a stream. They felt as if they were in a dream.
Ning Zicheng felt a sense of shock and disbelief. His gaze was fixed on his longtime friend Chu Sinian. He saw that the torrent of life, which he had always remained detached from, had stopped, stood still, and even become entangled and merged with one person.
His lips trembled slightly. "Chu Sinian, you've really stopped."
"Sir, it's time for the wedding!" The priest stood at the far end of the church, waiting with a serene gaze upon the newlyweds.
Before Chu Sinian could ask Ning Zicheng what those words meant, Chen Chi led him into the church, where the dazzling stained glass windows reflected colorful light onto the church floor.
They stepped across the dazzling light and stood before the priest.
The priest's solemn face gazed upon them.
"God said that marriage should be respected by everyone. It is a covenant that goes against human nature, and it should be nurtured and maintained with an unchanging heart and sincere words."
"Mr. Chu Sinian, are you willing to unite with Mr. Chen Chi forever with a heart full of sincerity and love?"
Chu Sinian's hands trembled slightly as he said, "I do."
The priest looked at them with pity. "Mr. Chen Chi, are you willing to become one with Mr. Chu Sinian forever, with the same sincere heart and love?"
Chen Chi said seriously, "I'm willing."
The priest placed his hand on his heart, closed his eyes, and said, "Love is patient and kind. May you always practice it. God bless you."
"May the Holy Father bless you, and may the newlyweds exchange rings. Amen."
Chen Chi steadily grasped Chu Sinian's slender hand, placed the plain ring on his empty ring finger, and slowly revealed a gentle and profound smile on his face.
He held Chu Sinian's hand and let Chu Sinian's trembling hand put the plain ring symbolizing marriage on his finger. Unexpectedly, a huge gust of wind swept through his heart, sweeping over the cliff and pine mountain, and overflowing into the distance as if he could no longer bear it.
Their hands trembled as they clasped together, and a beautiful ray of light shone on their shared plain rings.
They gazed at each other, their emotions as vast as the universe, silently drawing each other into the ocean of life. Two passionate hearts slowly drew closer, and under the solemn gaze of the priest, in the majestic church, they exchanged a fleeting kiss.
In the distance, the pine forest swayed, the cliffs rose high, and the cell phone left among the flowers had its GPS tracker removed at some point.
The pages of the book flipped incessantly amidst the sea of flowers, revealing a passage of text in narrow, dark characters—
Before the arrow is released, the bow should whisper to it, "Your freedom is my freedom."
—The End.
