"Palace Master, why is there no movement?"
An elder stretched his neck to look towards the center of the formation.
Palace Master Murong held his breath and said, "Guard the formation well. Don't act rashly. Trust Sect Master Yan..."
As soon as he finished speaking, he lost his temper and pulled Murong Xuanlang next to him: "You go, go up and take another look."
"I'll go, I'll go. Don't let the Young Palace Master pass." The elders could hardly stand, but they were still struggling to speak.
Palace Master Murong gritted his teeth and said, "Let him go! He's the only one of these people who's somewhat useful. Go. If anything unexpected happens, remember to save Sect Master Yan first."
Since he invited people here, he has to take responsibility to the end.
"Yes, father." Murong Xuanlang has always been obedient. He saluted several people, took the opportunity to turn around, stuffed a few pills to restore his strength into his mouth, and forced himself to fly up.
After being eroded by evil spirits for so long, he was almost reaching his limit.
In the center of the formation, Yan Huailiu fell down carefully, trying his best to avoid the monster's mouth.
I kept talking because I was nervous.
"How do you survive in this dark place? Can you still see?"
"Did you really brush your teeth? They smell terrible. Could you please shut your mouth first?"
"Alright, that's enough. Stop yelling, okay? I'll go deaf if you're this close."
"Very good. I thought you had filled this hole by yourself, but I didn't expect you could find a place for me to stay."
…
He kept muttering to himself the whole time, and was always on guard against the monster whose movements were unclear.
Only when his feet touched solid ground did he quickly pick up Wen Yue in his hand.
With the faint light above my head, I could barely see the scene here.
The monster, as tall as a hill, had bloodshot eyes and stared at him without blinking, its thick claws ready to move.
If his limbs weren't bound with iron chains covered with talismans, he could definitely be knocked down with one palm.
"No wonder after all this time, only the head can be seen. It turns out there's something tied to it."
Yan Huailiu sighed, not bothering to analyze what those talismans were. The tip of Wen Yue's sword glowed, and with a cold face, he stabbed hard at the monster's heart.
The sound of the chain breaking was heard, accompanied by a deafening roar, and the monster's free right hand hit Yan Huailiu fiercely.
Yan Huailiu dodged without any pause.
Wen Yue pierced through the monster's chest, circled in the air a few times, and slowly returned to his hand.
"Is this mission accomplished?"
Without expending too much energy, Yan Huailiu wiped the sword slowly and leisurely, his expression full of disgust.
"What is this?" His attention was drawn to the green plants on the stone wall next to him, and he moved closer to take a look.
A voice called out from above: "Sect Master Yan, Sect Master Yan, are you in there? Is something wrong?"
"It's okay, it's been resolved." Yan Huailiu looked up and replied.
Hearing his voice, Murong Xuanlang quickly flew down on his sword and quickly found Yan Huailiu's location.
"I'm glad you're alright, Sect Master Yan, let's go back. Father and the others are ready to repair the last eye of the formation."
"Well, okay." Yan Huailiu used the tip of his sword to scratch off the leaves of the glowing green plant, took a look at it in his hand and said, "Wait a moment, you go up first."
"Okay, then Sect Master Yan... be careful!" Murong Xuanlang's voice suddenly rose.
Yan Huailiu grabbed him and threw him up at the fastest speed, while throwing out Wen Yue in his hand at the same time.
Murong Xuanlang had no time to control his sword in the air, and he stared at the monster attacking Yan Huailiu with wide eyes.
When his body was about to fall again, a figure jumped in.
It was similar to Yan Huailiu's previous action, both of which were pulling him out, but this time he was thrown directly out of the nest.
The people from Xuanyue Palace who were waiting outside quickly caught him.
Murong Xuanlang stood firm, still puzzled: "Who was that just now?"
"I didn't see clearly." Palace Master Murong's face was grim. "It seems to be a demon cultivator."
The demonic aura was so thick that they couldn't tell whether it was a man or a woman.
"What happened in there? Where is Sect Master Yan?" an elder asked anxiously.
Murong Xuanlang frowned: "When I arrived, Sect Master Yan said that it had been resolved, but the monster seemed to come back to life and suddenly attacked."
He paused for a moment before continuing, "I was rescued by Sect Master Yan and the people who just entered."
If that action could be considered a rescue.
"What do you mean? Is the person who just came in a good person?" Palace Master Murong didn't quite understand.
"I don't know either." Murong Xuanlang said, and couldn't help asking: "Father, what should we do now?"
Palace Master Murong thought for a moment and picked out a few disciples who could still fight: "You go guard the cave entrance. If you can go in and help, go in. If you can't go in, don't cause trouble. Wait for Sect Master Yan's instructions."
"The rest, guard the formation and be prepared to repair it."
"I'll take them with me." Murong Xuanlang volunteered.
Before they set off, the ground suddenly shook violently, accompanied by a few roars and bursts of thick smoke, and the nest collapsed completely.
Palace Master Murong instantly knelt on the ground: "It's over, it's over, Sect Master Yan... Save them! Save them first!"
Inside the nest, Yan Huailiu was coughing due to the falling gravel and dust, and Wen Yue never came back after leaving.
He covered his mouth and nose with one hand and stretched out the other to summon Wen Yue, his mind working rapidly.
What is going on?
The monster was clearly dead, and no breath could be sensed at that time. How could it suddenly come back to life?
There was some shelter above where he was standing, so he was not hit.
The flying dust completely blocked my vision. Because I was caught off guard, a lot of dust got into my eyes, and I couldn't open them at all. I could only prick up my ears and listen to the movements around me.
