Suddenly, a gentle breeze blew by, and Mo Qing tightened her grip on Ji Muhan's neck.
Ji Muhan slowed his pace slightly, and Mo Qing immediately noticed his unusual behavior. She blinked innocently and said in a soft, sweet voice, "Hanhan, I'm a little cold."
Her words seemed somewhat like a cover-up, but Ji Muhan only paused slightly before continuing to walk forward.
They moved steadily and quickly through the woods towards Zone B of the exercise, which was the base designated for their two teams.
Mo Qing didn't get a chance to hear Ji Muhan's cold words. Immediately, like a cat that had stolen some cream, she laughed heartily, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Although her laughter was very soft and shallow, Ji Muhan, as a special forces soldier, still recognized her from her breathing.
"What just happened?" Ji Muhan asked calmly, her eyes flickering slightly.
Upon hearing this, Mo Qing blinked. She couldn't see Ji Muhan's expression, but she still subconsciously paused, carefully choosing her words before speaking.
"Ah, a poisonous snake wanted to suck my blood, Hanhan. You know I'm not that generous, so I had no choice but to bring it to the hall. As a result, they discovered me with just that one move, and once I was discovered, I couldn't hide anymore!"
The girl's innocent tone seemed to absolve her of all responsibility...
"Then you did it." Ji Muhan used a declarative sentence, meaning he was certain that Mo Qing had done it.
"Yes, it moved a little bit." Mo Qing blinked, her tone very subtle.
She naturally wouldn't know about the fight she had with that person.
"Your ankle is even more swollen now." Ji Muhan's eyes were deep and slightly cool as she casually exposed her "reserved" words.
The implication is that it doesn't seem like her at all.
"Hanhan, you won't leave me, right?" Upon hearing this, Mo Qing's eyes darted around, and she answered irrelevantly, speaking in a soft, coquettish tone.
"Mmm." Ji Muhan responded with an ambiguous tone, her low voice seeming to come from her throat.
“But you,” Mo Qing’s eyes flickered slightly, a hint of barely perceptible tension in them, and she winked mischievously, “what if you lose because of me?”
"No." Ji Muhan's eyes flickered slightly as she said firmly.
"So confident?" Mo Qing smiled brightly and subconsciously tightened her grip on his neck.
Although she really wanted to spend more time with Ji Muhan, she thought that doing so might... be a burden to him, right?
"I believe them," Ji Muhan replied casually.
Even if he's been kicked out now, he still has her...brother. With her brother's ability to fight him to a draw, it seems that even without him, winning shouldn't be a big problem, although the process might be...a bit difficult.
After all, they are the stronger side and the most likely to win. The other three teams are very likely to eliminate all of their people first.
Therefore, they are now facing special forces from six military regions. The three battalions in the exercise have more than twice their number, giving them an absolute advantage in terms of numbers alone...
Mo Qing blinked, then suddenly felt a pang of conscience and asked, "Those three people won't be eliminated because of me, will they?"
After all, they were the ones who healed her foot, and she would feel guilty if she were eliminated because of her…
"I don't know," Ji Muhan replied indifferently, her eyes slightly cool.
Nobody knows what decision those people at headquarters will make, and besides... his personality is quite different from most people's, so he might very well do the opposite...
"Don't know?" Mo Qing frowned, pondered for a moment, and then said, "They shouldn't be eliminated, right? After all, I'm not on your side of the exercise. As long as we explain it clearly, they should be able to continue participating in the exercise, right?"
She was just doing it for fun and because she was a little annoyed, so she targeted them; she didn't mean to eliminate them...
"I don't know." Ji Muhan's eyes cooled down rapidly, and she answered indifferently.
“But…” She wrinkled her nose, and hesitated for a moment, a rare moment of conscience.
"You'd be better off worrying about your feet," Ji Muhan interrupted her coldly, seemingly impatient.
Mo Qing was stunned for a moment, then laughed, a very cheerful laugh. "Hanhan, are you especially worried about me, and also feel sorry for me?"
You could detect a hint of triumph in her cheerful tone.
Just hearing her laughter involuntarily conjured up images of a pair of cunning eyes, like those of a fox.
"Heh." Ji Muhan didn't like that subtle emotion growing and fermenting. She subconsciously frowned, and her voice was several degrees colder than before. "I think you're all better now and want to get down and walk around, huh?"
Mo Qing's heart skipped a beat, and she quickly changed her tune, "I was wrong, I shouldn't have come out. I know you're shy, I shouldn't have."
But there was still a hint of smugness in her words, like the smugness of a child who has been begging for candy and has finally gotten it.
Mo Qing felt as if she had been filled with honey, her heart filled with sweetness. Even though she knew she was being a little silly, she couldn't help but raise the corners of her mouth and smile silently, unable to suppress it.
From the moment Ji Muhan rushed back so anxiously, she had already guessed that he wasn't completely indifferent to her. At least it was much better than before, wasn't it?
This time, Ji Muhan didn't bother with anything, simply put her down, and quickly ran off in one direction.
Mo Qing was left standing there, completely bewildered, "..."
