I randomly picked a TV series and started watching it out of sheer boredom.
A few minutes later, Zhang Ma brought out a bowl of noodles.
“I’m all alone at home and I didn’t buy any groceries. If I were to cook something, it would definitely take a while. I thought you’d been hungry for most of the night, so I just cooked noodles.”
Mo Xiaoqing understood what Zhang Ma meant; she meant that cooking noodles would take much longer.
So she smiled sweetly at Zhang Ma and said, "Noodles are fine too. Anyway, I'm fine with anything as long as I can fill my stomach."
Aunt Zhang smiled kindly, revealing all the wrinkles at the corners of her eyes.
Although everyone in the family thinks Mo Xiaoqing is the most spoiled and willful, everyone loves her for this personality trait.
Although she is spoiled, she is spoiled and willful only when it is appropriate, and only in front of certain people.
If it weren't for that person, you really wouldn't see her willful side...
"Didn't the young master and young mistress mention last time that you found a job and are currently interning?"
Zhang Ma was an elder in their family, brought over from their residence in the capital.
If you really count it, she's almost 60 years old, and even her father is nearly ten years younger than her.
So she's always called her parents that way; that's how the older generation likes to address people, and she's long been used to it.
"Yes, I'm currently interning at that company."
Are you getting used to it there?
While eating her noodles, Mo Xiaoqing replied, "It's all fine. Anyway, this is how work is done, so there's not much to get used to."
"That's good. There's still some cleaning upstairs that hasn't been finished. After Momo finishes eating, leave the food in the kitchen. I'll come down and wash the dishes in a bit."
Mo Xiaoqing had noodles in her mouth and couldn't speak, so she could only nod.
That pretty little face, with its cheeks puffing out, looked like a little squirrel eating; it was tiny yet incredibly cute.
Zhang Ma felt so soft-hearted that she wanted to hug her and pat her head gently.
Although I've gotten used to Mo Xiaoqing's cute and endearing actions over the past decade, I still sometimes can't resist her adorable personality.
So, her gaze softened, and after looking at him for a while longer, she reluctantly went upstairs to clean.
Mo Xiaoqing had been used to being watched by them since she was a child. Sometimes it was her older brother, her third brother, or other family members who liked to tease her or pinch her cheeks. She had long been accustomed to being the center of attention.
In the past, when she was bored at home, her third brother would rest his chin on his hand and watch her drift off into thought.
Therefore, Mo Xiaoqing had long since mastered the art of being impervious to such stares.
In other words, no matter which way the wind blows, I remain unmoved!
So, she finished the bowl of noodles in less than five minutes, eating slowly but not slowly.
Actually, when Aunt Zhang asked her to put the bowl in the kitchen, she just nodded casually, not really intending for her to wash it. So after she finished eating her noodles, she took the bowl to the kitchen and washed it casually.
She knew Zhang Ma's mindset. In her eyes, Zhang Ma was a servant hired by the family. No matter how many years they had lived together, she still stuck to her own ideas and refused to let them do anything.
In her eyes, Zhang Ma was already like a second mother to her, and washing dishes wasn't a big deal, so she just washed them along with her brother. It's just that when her brother was home, she always liked to act cute with him and ask him to do the dishes.
After a satisfying meal, Mo Xiaoqing lay back down on the sofa. Looking at the TV still playing a drama, she suddenly realized that she hadn't chatted with Ji Muhan at all today.
During this time, although she went to the company for her internship every day and Hanhan returned to the army, the two of them never lost contact and would chat until nearly 10 o'clock every night.
Although she didn't know why Hanhan could use a mobile phone now, she didn't care much about it. As long as Hanhan could chat with her, that was enough.
Moreover, she really enjoys this way of chatting, because chatting with Hanhan makes her feel that every day is very fulfilling.
Mo Xiaoqing took out her phone from her bag, opened it, and saw a missed call.
Upon seeing that familiar number, her heart skipped a beat.
She barely needed to memorize the number; she already knew it by heart, so she dialed it back without hesitation.
"Hello."
Mo Xiaoqing smiled brightly as she called out those two most familiar words, "Hanhan."
The little girl's soft, sweet voice came from the other end of the phone, and Ji Muhan, who was writing something with her head down, stopped.
He just answered the phone casually without checking who was calling.
So when I heard that soft, sweet voice, my fingers stopped abruptly.
He asked her unhurriedly, "I called you just now, why didn't you answer?"
"Oh, I just went to the hospital!"
"Hospital?"
To some extent, this only applies when she wants to flirt with Ji Muhan or when she does something wrong.
Mo Xiaoqing would tell some nonsensical lies, but otherwise she was quite honest. No matter what Ji Muhan asked her, she would answer properly.
Ji Muhan instinctively gripped the pen in her hand, frowning slightly. "Are you feeling unwell somewhere?"
His question was tinged with unconscious nervousness.
