Chapter Fifty: I really want to stay here forever

Moreover, even if Ji Muhan hadn't made a move, he would have dealt with the snake himself.

If a highly selected elite special operations brigade member lacked even this level of vigilance, he would have died long ago in his various dangerous missions.

"Fine, I won't do it next time." Ji Muhan's cold gaze swept over the green snake that was no longer moving, and she took a few big steps forward and quickly drew her dagger.

Before Shen Shaolin could speak, he added coolly, "Anyway, it's not poisonous."

It means that even if he gets bitten, he will be fine.

Shen Shaolin was furious. He glared at him, gritting his teeth and cursing inwardly:

Ji Muhan, I'll fuck your grandpa.

"Liangzi, do a quick search around here and see if you can find the signal." Ji Muhan put away her dagger, no longer bothering with Shen Shaolin, and glanced at Liangzi, who was wearing glasses, asking in a flat tone.

He had just observed that in such a remote mountain area, transportation was probably inconvenient, and in case of an emergency, it would be impossible to run down the mountain temporarily.

They definitely had a backup plan. Since they needed to contact the outside world, the people in the forest must have had communication devices.

Liangzi nodded, "Yes."

"Qi Guang, you stay behind and keep watch. If you track them down and can pinpoint their location, let us know immediately." Ji Muhan's cold eyes swept over the remaining three people. "We'll sneak into the woods first and take out the hidden sentries they've planted there."

"Shen Shaolin and Mengzi are in one group, and Jinhua and I are in another group."

Mengzi made an OK sign.

Ji Muhan's cool gaze lingered briefly on the somewhat dejected face of Shen Shaolin beside her. The small wound was still oozing blood, but it wasn't a big problem. So, she only paused on his face for two seconds before calmly looking away.

He put on his earphones from his backpack and turned on the communication button; several others immediately followed suit.

"Remember that our goal is to rescue the people safely. We must not alert them before we can pinpoint their exact location. Therefore, when dealing with the sentries, we must not be discovered or fire any shots."

"Shen Shaolin." Ji Muhan glanced at Shen Shaolin, who was still heartbroken over the small cut he had made, and said indifferently, "Especially you, behave yourself, or you'll be in for a big surprise when you get back."

Shen Shaolin, "..."

Damn it, do you have to be so vengeful?

——This is Mo Xiaoqing's dividing line——

Beautiful white clouds floated in the blue sky, making the whole place feel as comfortable as an air-conditioned room. In Shilin, daughters are called "Golden Flowers," and when these women don their beautiful ethnic costumes, they create a truly stunning sight.

Mo Xiaoqing carried a bag on her back and held a camera in her hand.

Whether wandering amidst the beautiful mountains and rivers, strolling through the quiet alleys of the ancient city, or simply sitting and absorbing the ancient and mysterious atmosphere of Yunnan...

"It's so beautiful, I wish I could stay here forever."

She was afraid, but she was willing to be.

Mo Xiaoqing thought that if she could record all the beautiful scenery here with her camera, she could probably feel better when she looked at it in the future if she was in a bad mood.

Erhai Lake in Dali is shaped like a human ear. When the wind is calm, it looks like a deep green gem set in the land of Yunnan. When the wind blows, the surface of the lake sparkles with golden light and beautiful waves rise up, which is charming and beautiful, making her feel the magic of nature.

After visiting Erhai Lake in Dali, Mo Xiaoqing casually entered a restaurant, took care of her personal matters, and rested for a while before deciding to head to Dali Old Town.

As she walked into the city with the surging crowd, Mo Xiaoqing looked around curiously, trying her best to feel the tranquil, ancient, and profound sense of history from everything she saw, but she was somewhat disappointed.

Like Lijiang, although the houses, shops and workshops with blue tile roofs are connected on both sides of the street, presenting a simple and ancient appearance, it is shrouded in a strong modern commercial atmosphere.

The streets are lined with shops displaying a dazzling array of ethnic handicrafts and tourist souvenirs. There are also restaurants serving local specialties, and gold, silver, and jade shops selling jewelry, both genuine and fake.

Every shop was bustling with people coming and going, business seemed to be booming, a scene of prosperity.

Mo Xiaoqing didn't know if the ancient Dali Kingdom was as prosperous as it once was, and she could only feel a trace of its past glory from the old-fashioned houses and buildings on both sides of the street and the bluestone pavement under her feet.

Another similarity between Dali Old Town and Lijiang is that many places along the streets are decorated with potted plants and flowers, and some places have clear streams flowing by, which shows that the people of Dali live a comfortable, leisurely and interesting life.

Moreover, its streets are very clean and tidy, with no vehicles on the road, so visitors can stroll around leisurely and with peace of mind.

Unlike the labyrinthine alleyways of Lijiang, the streets of Dali Old Town are laid out in a grid pattern, with straight lines and vertical lines.

A main street runs through the area from south to north, and the two city gate towers facing each other have been restored.

The deep streets and alleys crisscross from west to east, simple and clear. The entire city is covered with uniform Qing-style tiled roofs and cobblestone walls, showing Dali's unique and ancient charm.

However, before she could finish reading it all, fate intervened. Mo Xiaoqing was a little unwilling to give up, as she was engrossed in reading it.

After some hesitation, she found a nearby inn and booked a room. It was getting dark, and she would need to find a place to stay later.

The row of buildings seemed to be all inns, each with a different style. It looked like there was more to these buildings than met the eye. Mo Xiaoqing found it interesting and took a few more glances. Then, she blinked habitually and picked the one that looked the most pleasing to the eye.

The proprietress was a very elegant woman, in her early thirties, wearing a light blue cheongsam. She had a curvaceous figure and a touch of classical charm.

"Accommodation?" Her slightly alluring phoenix eyes subtly observed Mo Xiaoqing for a moment, a faint smile playing on her lips.

Her appearance wasn't particularly outstanding to begin with, but what was most striking about her were her expressive eyes, which held an indescribable allure that lingered in her gaze.

"Mmm." Mo Xiaoqing maintained her sweet smile, her small dimples appearing faintly. She carried a large backpack on her back and stood in front of her, letting her look at her with a natural and generous demeanor.

"The best." The proprietress looked at her, raised an eyebrow, and spoke with a slightly quick and efficient tone, which didn't quite match her attire.

Some noticeable gazes swept over Mo Xiaoqing, sizing her up. The girl was wearing a light purple T-shirt with one corner tucked into light-colored jeans. It was the simplest of outfits, yet it was impossible not to look at her.

She looked so delicate and beautiful, like a porcelain doll, that it naturally evoked feelings of tenderness and affection in people.
