"Where is it? Take me to see it."
Mo Qing's clear black and white eyes darted around. She had a premonition that these people were definitely related to her.
So after hesitating for two seconds, Mo Qing smiled slyly and followed the direction in which the two women had been talking.
Mo Qing had no idea that her appearance would almost disrupt the entire plan of certain people.
When Mo Qing sneaked into another lobby of the hotel, she was a little confused. The crystal chandelier hanging in mid-air was beautiful, but there were all sorts of people below, as if a cocktail party was being held.
Ah~ She remembered, Yao Yao came here, took a phone call and left, she should have been here too, right?
However, after quickly scanning the venue, she couldn't spot Yao Yao.
They didn't see any particularly handsome men among them, and wandered around aimlessly for a couple of minutes.
Mo Qing was probably the most simply dressed among them. Everyone else was wearing evening gowns and suits, unlike her, who was dressed in the most ordinary shirt and shorts.
Fortunately, no one at the party paid much attention to her, and Mo Qing was happy to have some peace and quiet. She had originally planned to just stroll around for a bit and then go back.
She initially thought it was a cocktail party, but as she walked further in, Mo Qing realized that it was not at all what she had imagined.
It seems to be an auction held within a circle, just not at an auction house.
But what I never expected was that on the other side—
From the private rooms on the second floor, one can see the entire situation in the hall below, including everyone. The truly intelligent people are usually behind the scenes, so they have to wait.
They were originally training in the military, but they received orders at the last minute in the morning, so they rushed over without stopping. In fact, this situation was much more difficult than their previous ones.
Such an occasion is perfect for taking advantage of the chaos; these few people can only rely on their intuition to find their target.
Shen Shaolin raised an eyebrow, his eyes slightly cold, and his words carried a chilling undertone, "Oh ho, look at these people, they really know how to enjoy themselves!"
He squandered the hard-earned money that others had worked their whole lives to earn, doing whatever he wanted. He didn't really realize it before, but after joining the army in the past two years, he has carried out many different kinds of missions.
In particular, during one of their missions, most of the men in that village became addicted to drugs; some died, and those who survived were ruined.
The entire village was left with only the elderly, women, and children, a sight that evoked a sense of sorrow.
And those drug traffickers keep raiding their village...
Mengzi coldly sarcastically said, "Of course they know how to enjoy themselves. After all, they use dirty money. Those shady dealings have broken up so many happy families. If I weren't a soldier, I would have punched them all long ago."
"You, how many of these people are clean? And how many of them are really here for the gathering?" Shen Shaolin raised an eyebrow, finding it quite amusing.
He thought this was the best time to "talk business," since the place was a mixed bag, and people like them were the easiest to talk to...
"Aren't they here for a party?" Qi Guang asked in surprise.
Shen Shaolin's lips curled into amusement. "Do you believe that quite a few of these people are armed?"
Qi Guang looked at him in confusion, "Doesn't the capital city prohibit the private sale of firearms and ammunition?"
There are prohibitions against the private sale of firearms and ammunition, and anyone caught doing so will be immediately arrested and imprisoned. How is it even possible to buy them under these circumstances...?
Shen Shaolin glanced at her with a half-smile, but the smile didn't reach her eyes; instead, it carried a chilling coldness.
"Don't you know there's a saying in this world: money makes the world go round?"
That's how realistic the world is. Money talks, and even murderers can get away with it.
“…I know.” Qi Guang nodded, his expression growing increasingly serious, his brows furrowed. “You mean they’re buying and selling guns and ammunition privately?”
Shen Shaolin curled his lips and casually touched his teeth with the tip of his tongue. "Hmm, this is common, nothing to be surprised about."
He added indignantly, "The people in the capital's circles are getting more and more corrupt. I really don't know how these people have managed to survive until now."
If he weren't underranked, he would have liked to arrest all of them and give them a good beating.
