Chapter 140 Flood

Chapter 140 Flood

The next morning, Chu Runrun and Ge Hanlin rarely had to attend morning classes. As soon as they opened their eyes, they saw a notice from @all members in the Student Union Arts and Literature Department group.

According to tradition, there is an evening party for freshmen, which is scheduled for the weekend. The task of the Arts Department is to arrange the performances for that day.

After reading the message, Ge Hanlin threw her phone on the bed in frustration:

"Ruanruan, I regret joining the student union!"

Chu Ruanruan yawned, and after a while she said, "Me too!"

Ge Hanlin: "Why don't we start backing out?"

Chu Ruanruan: "Is this okay?"

“It doesn’t look good!”

"What should we do then?"

"Get up!"

"You get up first!"

"You go first!"

"You first!"

"You first!"

“…”

An hour later, Chu Runrun suddenly woke up and looked at her phone. It was already half past nine.

The meeting time is 9:40.

"Xiao Taozi, get up quickly, it's already half past nine!" Chu Runrun quickly got out of bed and lifted Ge Hanlin's quilt.

Ge Hanlin rubbed her eyes and looked at Chu Ruanruan who was looking for clothes everywhere like crazy and couldn't help wondering:

"Why are you in such a hurry?"

"The meeting starts at 9:40, didn't you see it?" Chu Runrun said.

Ge Hanlin was slightly stunned, then opened her phone and quickly joined the group after seeing the message.

The two of them quickly brushed their teeth, washed their faces, and put on their clothes. In less than five minutes, they were ready and rushed to the meeting room.

Finally, at exactly 9:40, the two of them entered the conference room at the same time.

More than a dozen pairs of eyes looked at the two of them, and for a moment, the atmosphere was a little awkward.

"You're late for the meeting on the first day. You must have a powerful backer!"

"Just say less, or I'll make things difficult for you!"

“…”

A few people mumbled a few words.

Chu Runrun held the attitude that as long as I am not embarrassed, it is other people's attitude that is embarrassing, and calmly pulled Ge Hanlin to the empty seat and sat down.

The director of the Arts and Literature Department is Yan Yan, a sophomore from the dance department. She didn't blame Chu Runrun and Ge Hanlin for coming in at the right time.

"Now that everyone is here, let's start the meeting!"

After that, everyone took out paper and pen to take notes, except Chu Runrun and Ge Hanlin, who didn't bring anything.

"Ruanruan, we don't seem to have brought paper and pen!" Ge Hanlin whispered.

"Just use your brain. There's so much you can say. Just remember it!" Chu Runrun responded in a low voice.

Seeing that Chu Runrun and Ge Hanlin had nothing in front of them, Yan Yan silently tore two pieces of paper from her notebook and gave them two pens.

"It's just for show, but it doesn't really mean anything!"

Chu Ruanruan and Ge Hanlin nodded and smiled at Yan Yan: "Thank you, senior sister!"

Yan Yan smiled faintly, nodded, and began the meeting.

"Today, we need to work together to arrange some things for the freshman party. Our Arts Department doesn't usually have much to do, so we only have things to do on occasions like this.

Besides Ge Hanlin who is from the dance department, who else in our department can dance and sing?"

"Minister, although Chu Ruanruan is not from the dance department, she has won provincial ballroom dance competitions and piano competitions!" Zhang Ru said quickly.

Yan Yan looked at Chu Ruanruan and said, "The department does want to put on a piano solo program. Chu Ruanruan, are you up to it?"

Chu Ruanruan nodded: "Okay!"

"Okay! Then Ge Hanlin, you can just perform a dance program. There are also crosstalk and sketches. Let's discuss the division of labor. There are a total of twenty programs, and the Art Department must perform at least ten." Yan Yan said.

Everyone quickly started discussing the program.

Chu Runrun and Ge Hanlin did not join in the conversation, but just listened quietly.

The meeting lasted for an hour and a half. Chu Runrun yawned fifteen times and Ge Hanlin yawned sixteen times.

As soon as Yan Yan said it was over, Chu Runrun and Ge Hanlin immediately became energetic.

"Everyone should rehearse their own performances after returning home, but don't feel too stressed. This is just a freshman party, just for entertainment!"

After coming out of the conference room, Chu Runrun and Ge Hanlin went straight to the cafeteria.

Tian Yuyuan and Chi Longfei had already prepared dinner and were waiting for them.

"Why did the meeting between you two take so long?" Tian Yuyuan asked.

"The Arts Department needs to put on a program for the freshman party. After discussing it for a long time, I will dance and Ruanruan will play the piano!" said Ge Hanlin.

"This little bit of stuff is nothing to you two!"

"What about you? Is everything okay in the office?" Ge Hanlin asked.

"We just need to write some documents, it's not a big problem." Tian Yuyuan said with a smile.

If she had known this earlier, she would not have participated. It would have added unnecessary trouble to her.

Ge Hanlin took a depressed bite of the chicken leg handed to her by Tian Yuyuan. Just as she was thinking about it, Tang Tang walked over from a distance.

After seeing Chu Ruanruan and Ge Hanlin, he quickly waved and greeted them:

"Chu Ruanruan, Ge Hanlin!"

Tang Tang was a very outgoing person and he was not at all shy after having only met them twice.

"Senior Tang Tang, why didn't you go to my third brother's place for a free meal today?" Chu Runrun teased.

Tang Tang smiled awkwardly and said, "Professor Ning doesn't cook every day, and I'm embarrassed to eat there every day!"

"It's okay! My third brother really likes you to come and eat for free!" Chu Runrun said with a smile.

"Really? I'm afraid Professor Ning will get angry if I go there too often!"

Tang Tang said as he ate the big bowl of rice with gusto.

Chu Runrun couldn't help but look at her a few more times. Tang Tang wasn't fat, so how could she eat so much rice?

That bowl of rice is almost as much as she eats in two meals. Is this the nature of a glutton?

Chu Runrun was about to look away, but a hint of darkness on Tang Tang's forehead made her stop staring.

The black air flashed by and then penetrated into Tang Tang's vital point, and the wavy lines on his forehead gradually became clearer.

This facial feature indicates that Tang Tang will suffer a flood in three days at most, which may result in minor injuries or even death. Moreover, the cause of the flood is not an accident, but the work of ghosts.

"Senior Tang Tang, try not to go near the river or take a bath in the next three days!" Chu Runrun said.

"Ah?" Tang Tang looked at Chu Runrun in confusion.

"Why? Even though it's autumn, it's still hot. Won't I get smelly if I don't take a shower?"

"You're from the Horror Tea Party, so you must have heard of fortune-telling!"

Tang Tang nodded: "The Minister mentioned some of it when he told the story, but not much, and we haven't seen it!"

"If I say I can tell fortunes, would you believe me?" Chu Runrun said with a smile.

"Ah?" Tang Tang was stunned.

"Forget it! You won't believe me even if I tell you. Just take this!" Chu Ruanruan handed over a piece of talisman paper.

Tang Tang was immediately excited when he saw the talisman paper: "Is this a talisman? How cool!"

"You'll find it even cooler when you meet a ghost!" Ge Hanlin said softly.

Tang Tang couldn't help swallowing his saliva, looking at Chu Ruanruan and whispered:

"Are you really a fortune teller? Then when you told me not to go near the water just now, did you see something?!"

"I can see that you will suffer from floods in the next three days, so if you don't want to die, take this talisman. Even when you take a shower, wrap it up for me and don't let it get wet or lost!" Chu Ruanruan said.
