Chapter 307 Daque Clan's Lando
The driver was so frightened that he stepped on the accelerator and stopped the car.
"Miss, what are you doing?" The driver looked terrified.
"Open the car door and let me out!" Leah's hands were shaking with fear, but she still held the fruit knife tightly.
The driver was a little at a loss, but since Leah was holding a knife, he had no choice but to do as he was told.
"Miss, this place is more than ten miles away from where you can get a taxi. I'm not a bad person, why don't you believe me?" said the driver helplessly.
"I don't believe you, don't move!"
As soon as the car door opened, Leah got out and ran back.
The driver looked helpless. This place was more than ten miles away from where they had just come from. If she walked like this, something might really happen to her.
The driver was kind-hearted and quickly got in his car and chased after him.
"Miss, I really mean no harm. Just get in the car and I'll take you back, okay?"
When Leah saw him, she was so frightened that she turned around and ran into the woods.
"Hey, miss, there's no one home in there. You'll freeze to death in the middle of the night. Come back quickly!" the driver shouted.
But the terrified Leah didn't listen to the driver and immediately ran into the dense forest.
The driver had no choice but to call the police.
After running a long way, Leah found that it was pitch black around her, so she quickly took out her cell phone to light up the area.
The forest was covered with unmelted snow, which made a crunching sound when she stepped on it, making Leah more and more scared.
The cold wind was howling, and Leia couldn't help but hug her arms.
She didn't know where this place was. After thinking for a long time, Leah decided to call Jason.
But she didn't notice that the bracelet on her wrist flashed a red light.
"Hey, Leah, where have you been?"
Hearing Jason's voice, Leah almost cried: "Jason, I..."
Before Leah could finish her words, her phone automatically turned off.
"Hello! Hello!"
Leah tapped her phone. "What's going on? Is the battery out?"
Leah pressed the power button but there was no response. She clearly remembered that the phone still had more than half of its battery left, so how could it suddenly turn off?
Without the light of her cell phone and unable to call for help, Leah was almost crying in frustration.
But there was no way, the will to survive forced her to move forward while crying.
Half an hour later, Leah was shivering from the cold and squatting in the snow, almost freezing to death.
Just then, a hand gently patted her shoulder from behind.
Leah was so scared that she turned around quickly, only to see an old woman wearing ancient Chinese clothes.
"You... who are you?" Leia asked hurriedly.
"I am Landuo, the Great Que of the Kelhan tribe."
Although the old woman was wearing ancient clothes, the clothes looked very gorgeous and noble, and her demeanor was graceful and elegant, just like the queen in Chinese TV dramas.
"Landuo, the Great Que of the Kelhan tribe, old lady, your name is so long!" said Leah.
The old woman smiled slightly and said, "The Kelhan tribe is my tribe. Daque is the honorific title for the wife of the tribe leader. My name is Landuo."
"So that's how it is. I'm Leah, Grandma Lando. I'm sorry that I don't know much about Chinese culture." Leah said with a smile.
"It's okay, I'll take you to avoid the wind. It's too cold here." The old woman said with a smile.
"Okay! Thank you, grandma!"
Leah heard that Chinese style is popular now and many Chinese people like to wear ancient costumes when going out, so she had no doubts about this old woman who suddenly appeared in ancient Chinese costume.
Lando's lips curled up into a sinister and weird smile.
Soon, Leah saw a small wooden house with a light on.
"Come in!" Lando said with a smile.
Leah was already frozen, and when she saw the house, she ran in without thinking.
Not only were the lights on in the room, but there was also hot water and a stove, making it warm.
Leia sat by the stove and took the cup of warm water handed to her by Lando.
"Mother-in-law, is this your home? Why do you live in such a remote place?" Leah asked.
"This is not my home." Lando said with a smile.
"It's not your home, so will it be okay for us to come in?" Leah asked hurriedly.
"It doesn't matter. The owner of this place is gone."
"It's gone, how could it be gone?" Leah asked in surprise.
"Just...dead!"
Lando smiled at Leah, but at this moment, the smile did not seem warm at all to her, but rather weird.
"Dead? How did he die?" Leah asked tremblingly.
"He has been dead for many years. I don't know how he died, but he is dead anyway." Lando said with a smile.
"Mother-in-law, you..."
Just as Leia was about to say something, she saw that there was nothing underneath Lando's long skirt.
"You...your feet..."
Leah was so scared that she dropped the water cup in her hand.
Lando glanced down at her feet and smiled, "I came out in such a hurry that I forgot to bring my legs with me. It's okay. You won't be scared after a while anyway."
Leia looked at everything in front of her as if she were dreaming.
"You... who the hell are you?" Leah pointed the fruit knife at Lando in horror.
"I am Landuo, the most honorable Daque clan member of the Kelhan tribe!"
"But you have no legs. How can a person be without legs?" Leah almost collapsed.
"I told you, I came out in such a hurry that I forgot to bring my legs with me. It's okay, I'll go back and get them now!"
As she spoke, Lando turned into a wisp of green smoke and entered the bracelet on Leah's hand.
Leah was so scared that she tried to take off the bracelet, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't take it off, and she couldn't even break it by knocking it.
A moment later, Lando appeared in front of Leia again.
Leia was so scared that she wanted to run away, but the door was closed. Lando wouldn't let her leave, so how could she leave?
"You'll freeze to death if you go out now, stay here!"
Lando's tone was still gentle, but her eyes were full of possession of Leia's body.
"Help! Help!"
Leah kept knocking on the door, but it was in the middle of nowhere and no one would come to rescue her.
When Leah had finished crying and had no more strength left, Lando gracefully stood up and walked over to her.
Leah was so frightened that her face turned pale. Her tears had already dried up and she had nothing left to cry.
Lando gently pinched Leah's chin and looked at her face:
"Although you are not of my kind, you have a good appearance. I have been silent for a hundred years and I want to return to the human world. It would be an honor for you to hand over your body to me."
Lando's hand slowly slid towards Leia's neck. Leia felt something cold pointing at the artery in her neck, which could take her life at any time.
Leia was ready to face death, but the next second, a golden light burst out from her chest and knocked Lando back two steps.
Lando couldn't help but frown: "What did you put on your body?"
Leia took a few deep breaths and finally came to her senses. She suddenly remembered that Chu Ruanruan had patted her on the shoulder when they were at the antique market.
Leia quickly reached into the small pocket under her shoulder, and unexpectedly found a piece of yellow talisman paper inside.
