Chapter 54: Hurt?
Ning Xuan turned around with a sullen face. Chu Ruanruan thought he was going to leave and quickly grabbed him:
"Brother, I didn't mean to lie. I went out to catch ghosts, and I didn't tell you because I didn't want you to worry!"
Ning Xuan: "Let go!"
Hearing Ning Xuan's cold tone, Chu Ruanruan's eyes suddenly turned red:
"Brother, please don't be angry!"
Ning Xuan couldn't bear to be angry with Chu Runrun, and he couldn't bear it even more when he saw her eyes turn red.
"How can I get medicine for you if you don't let me go?" Ning Xuan sighed helplessly.

Ning Xuan brought some warm water and squatted down, placing Chu Ruanruan's feet on his legs. He first wiped off the dust on her feet, then disinfected them with iodine before bandaging them.
"You don't even know you're injured. Are you an idiot?" Ning Xuan said unhappily.
"It's just a minor injury, it doesn't hurt!" Chu Runrun said with a smile.
Ning Xuan flicked Chu Ruanruan's forehead in annoyance: "Don't let yourself get hurt in the future!"
"I promise!" Chu Runrun immediately raised her claws.
Ning Xuan's mood finally turned from cloudy to sunny.
"Tell me what you were doing!" Ning Xuan said.
"Yeah!" Chu Runrun immediately sat up and enthusiastically told Ning Xuan about her battle with the ghosts.
Ning Xuan listened quietly. He knew that Ruanruan could not live like an ordinary girl, so he would not stop her from doing anything.
He was angry because Chu Runrun hid the truth from him. What would he do if something really happened to her?
Chu Runrun was speaking excitedly when Ning Xuan hugged her in his arms.
Chu Ruanruan was stunned: "Brother...brother, what's wrong with you?"
Ning Xuan placed his head on Chu Ruanruan's neck, breathing in the familiar scent of her body and whispered:
"Ruanruan, you must tell me what you are going to do in the future, okay?"
"Okay... okay!" Chu Runrun nodded and tried to break free from Ning Xuan's arms, but Ning Xuan held her even tighter!
The warm breath fell on Chu Ruanruan's neck, making her feel itchy and her face flushed.
"Brother, can you let me go? I can't breathe!"
Only after hearing this did Ning Xuan let go of his hand.
Looking at Chu Runrun's slightly red cheeks, Ning Xuan's heart began to beat again.
"Ruanruan...I'll carry you back to the room!"
Ning Xuan took a deep breath, tried his best to control himself, and picked up Chu Ruanruan.
"Brother, I can walk by myself!" Chu Runrun lowered her eyes slightly to hide the tension in her eyes.
"Don't move if your foot is injured!"

"Okay! Go to sleep!"
Ning Xuan walked out of the room and breathed a sigh of relief. He was really afraid that he would not be able to control himself and hurt Ruanruan!

Because her foot was injured, Chu Runrun simply took the initiative and didn't go to school. She would just sleep there anyway, so she might as well sleep at home!
"Ruanruan, get up and drink this soup!"
Han Lixue came in carrying a bowl of thick bone soup.

Chu Ruanruan curled her lips: "Third brother, you say that as if I would do something bad!"

"I said we are leaving. You should have a good rest. I will take you to the amusement park when your injury is healed!" Ning Yu said.
"Yeah!" Chu Ruanruan nodded.
