"You're back!"
As soon as Xian Mingyu unlocked the door, the person inside suddenly jumped up and pounced on him, hugging him tightly.
Hsien Ming-yu was startled, but also delighted, and reached out to hug her back.
What are you doing here?
"I missed you~ I was worried about you living alone, all lonely, so I moved in to keep you company, how about that? Aren't you touched? Aren't you happy?"
Su Yulu tiptoed, cupped Xian Mingyu's face, kissed him on the lips, and then snuggled into his arms affectionately.
During his freshman year at university in the United States, in the second semester, Xuan Mingyu moved out on his own. This decision was made three months after he started dating Su Yuluo.
Because both Xian Shaodong and Fang Peiru disliked Su Yulu, and even more so Xian Mingyu brought her home, he felt restricted every time he went out. This made Xian Mingyu feel suffocated, and after a long standoff with his parents, they finally agreed to let him move out on his own.
Su Yulu even packed up her surname, Li, and brought it with her. She made a point of going to the house where Xian Mingyu was currently staying early, wanting to give him a big surprise.
"Happy. By the way, how did you get a key to my house?"
"Idiot, have you forgotten? You gave me the spare key yourself just a couple of days ago, and you even said you wanted me to come over to your house more often. I thought, it's too much trouble to keep going to see you, so I might as well move in with you and spend every day with you."
"Really? You're really moving in? But will your dad agree?"
At first, Xuan Mingyu also considered living with Su Yuluo, but Su Yuluo's father always kept a tight rein on her. He even once took out a stick and beat Su Yuluo severely, ordering her not to associate with the Xuan family anymore. But Su Yuluo was rebellious by nature and wouldn't listen. Even though she was covered in bruises, she was unwilling to give up on Xuan Mingyu.
Their love story was not easy due to the opposition from both sets of parents.
"Tch~ Who cares? I'm all grown up now, can't I even make my own decisions about my life? Yu~ I'm so hungry, hurry up and cook me some food~"
"Okay." He lowered his head and kissed her fair forehead, holding her for a long time, still reluctant to let go of the person in his arms. "Luo'er, are you really sure you want to move in with me from now on? Although I'm still just a student, my allowance will be reduced by more than half after I move out. “Luo’er…” Xuan Mingyu leaned down to kiss her, but Su Yulu dodged him. “I’m not letting you kiss me. You go and cook something. I’m starving. I’m not going to live with you anymore.”
"Okay, I'll go now." Reluctantly letting go of her, he tossed his backpack onto the sofa and headed towards the kitchen.
Su Yuluo couldn't cook or do housework, but Xuan Mingyu spoiled her, teaching her to cook and taking care of all the housework, letting her be a carefree little princess.
They lived together for almost a year, went to school together, and spent every day together after coming home. But then...
After reminiscing, Hsien Ming-yu still couldn't forget that beautiful figure from back then.
"Luo'er..." he couldn't help but call out.
Bai Xiaoruo was stunned for a moment, mistaking it for Ruo'er. The first time she heard him call her that was on their wedding night when he was drunk and almost forced himself on her. The second time... was at her grandfather's birthday banquet. Why was he calling her that now? And why were his eyes filled with sadness?
"Huh? Are you... calling me?"
Her rhetorical question completely pulled Xian Mingyu back from his reverie. Seeing the face before him clearly, he again expressed his rejection, "Bai Xiaoruo, stop trying to glorify yourself! Get out of here!"
He shoved her aside and strode toward the bathroom.
Bai Xiaoruo almost fell to the ground when Xuan Mingyu pushed her. She was still holding his suit and tie in her hands. Her heart ached and she felt wronged.
What did she do wrong to make him angry again? His anger is always so inexplicable...
Hsien Ming-yu stood in front of the sink and splashed cold water on his face several times, trying to wake himself up.
So many years have passed, and she has been gone for so long, so why do I still find myself thinking of her so often?
Xian Mingyu, what are you doing to yourself? Su Yuluo, that woman is already married and has a child with someone else. Why do you still want her?
You're married now, you have a family, you should forget her, forget her completely!
After washing his face, Xuan Mingyu came out of the bathroom, and Bai Xiaoruo sat alone at the dining table eating her meal.
She chewed very slowly, seemingly without tasting the food. She hadn't taken off her apron yet, and was fiddling with the rice in her bowl with her head down, showing little appetite.
Seeing Xian Mingyu come out of the bathroom, she quickly put down her chopsticks and stood up, wanting to talk to him, but afraid that he would humiliate her again.
She didn't know if he would want to eat the dishes she had prepared. If he wanted to leave, it wouldn't matter. After all, she had long been used to being alone.
Xuan Mingyu walked to the chair opposite Bai Xiaoruo, pulled it out and sat down, as if nothing had happened. "Bai Xiaoruo, you're just thinking about eating by yourself. Didn't you prepare any bowls and chopsticks for me?"
