When Xian Mingyu recalled visiting Su Yuluo at the hospital, it was already 3 PM.
He hasn't found Bai Xiaoruo yet, but he promised to visit Su Yuluo, so he can't break his promise.
As soon as I arrived at the ward door, I heard several loud crashes of things breaking. Then, the caregiver came out of the ward looking disheveled. Her clothes were covered in food and sauce stains, she had a big bump on her forehead, and her hands were still bleeding. When she saw Xian Mingyu, she looked at him as if he were her savior.
What happened inside?
"Mr. Xian, I don't want the salary! I don't want any salary you offer. I really can't serve that lady inside anymore."
"Yu! Is that you? Is it really you?"
Su Yuluo was very excited when she heard the sounds outside.
Xuan Mingyu glanced at the ward door. Judging from the caregiver's disheveled appearance, it was obvious who had done it. How come Luo'er's temper had grown even more after not seeing her for several years?
“I understand,” he said, taking out a checkbook from his pocket and writing a string of numbers on it in a flamboyant style. He handed it to the caregiver. “This is what you deserve. I gave you a little extra. Use it to buy some clean clothes and get your injuries treated.”
"Thank you, sir. You're such a kind person. The young lady inside has been waiting for you all day. She hasn't eaten anything and insisted on waiting for you to come." The caregiver took the check and left quickly, beaming with joy.
As soon as Xian Mingyu opened the door to the ward, a slender figure rushed into his arms.
"Yu~ I miss you so much~ Didn't you say you'd come to see me this morning? You lied! You made me wait so long. That caregiver was so mean! I was so scared without you by my side~"
"Sorry, I had some things to take care of, so I was a little delayed."
He looked down and saw that she was barefoot, and frowned slightly. "Why did you get out of bed without shoes?"
"I'm so excited to see you~ So hug me~"
Xuan Mingyu carried Su Yulu back to the hospital bed. Just as he was about to cover her with a blanket, she suddenly grabbed his hand.
"Yu, I want to discuss something with you."
"What is it?" He sat down beside her bed and listened to her.
"I want to be discharged. I don't want to stay here anymore... I want to live with you, Yu. We can... go back to how things were..."
Before she could finish speaking, Xian Mingyu suddenly stood up and pulled his arm away from hers.
Is it possible to go back to the way things were? He's married now, and so is she. Even if there's still a sliver of love left in his care for her, it can never be the same as it was back then.
"Luo'er, I..."
"Yu, do you hate me? I know it was wrong of me to leave for so many years. If you really hate me, then let me leave here alone and fend for myself. I won't bother you anymore..." With tears in her eyes, she prepared to lift the covers and get out of bed to leave.
"That's not what I meant... You're still injured, where can you go now?" He grabbed her hand, not wanting to let her leave. How could he let her go alone in her current state?
"I don't want your help! Since you don't want me anymore, I can go wherever I want, whether I get killed or die somewhere, it's my own business!" She broke free from his hand, turned her face away, and cried her heart out like a faucet that couldn't be turned off. Xian Mingyu's heart softened immediately.
“I didn’t abandon you… but now… Luo’er, tell me honestly, where have you been for the past six years? I’ve already had someone investigate. You’re married, you have a husband, and children. If you want me to continue loving you, what about your husband? What are we then?”
As soon as Xian Mingyu finished speaking, Su Yulu's face turned very ugly.
He found out; he had indeed found out everything.
The truth will eventually come out.
Even if it's that so-called husband and child, no one can stop her from getting closer to Xian Mingyu!
"Yu, no, it's not like that. Let me explain. It's really not what you think." Su Yuluo tightly gripped Xuan Mingyu's sleeve. She couldn't lose him, at least not now.
"Okay, I'll listen to your explanation. Tell me the truth, what is the real reason? Why did you leave without saying goodbye back then?"

The numerous bruises and scars on her body are undeniable and prove that she had indeed been severely beaten.
But why? How could that man harm such a vulnerable woman? In the videos and photos her grandfather showed her, she was smiling so happily, her face radiating joy. How could she have become like this?
"You mean Macau? How did you end up there?"
"It's my dad. He lost a lot of money gambling in Macau. Those people called and said they were going to chop off his hands and feet. I was really scared. He's my biological father after all, I can't just abandon him. So, I rushed over there, bringing all the gifts you gave me, hoping to get some money to save my dad. But I didn't expect that as soon as I got off the plane, those people knocked me unconscious. When I woke up, I was already in that man's bed. All my belongings were gone. He locks me in the room every day, forbidding me to go out, and he's forcing me to marry him. They're using my father to threaten me. I can't refuse. Yu, you have to believe me, this really wasn't my intention, really, you have to believe me." Su Yulu spoke very emotionally, as if it had really happened not long ago. Her whole body was trembling, and she was crying her eyes out.
