"My cousin Bai seemed really anxious. He hung up before I could even finish my sentence," Ji Shushu muttered to herself, looking at the phone that had just been disconnected, and prepared to put it back in Bai Xiaoruo's pocket.
When she turned around, Bai Xiaoruo had already woken up groggily.
"Xiao Bai! You're awake!" Ji Shushu happily sat down on the chair by the bed and held Bai Xiaoruo's hand tightly. "Are you feeling better? Is there anything else that's bothering you?"
"Um... What's wrong with me? Where am I?" Bai Xiaoruo was about to sit up when Ji Shushu quickly helped her lie down again. They couldn't be sure what was wrong with her yet, so she couldn't just get up.
"Lie down and don't move. This is the school clinic. You fainted while you were running."
"Oh, I see..." So she fainted just now? Bai Xiaoruo had no recollection of it at all. However, since she didn't feel any pain, she should hurry back to class. She didn't want to stay lying here any longer.
Bai Xiaoruo sat up again, threw off the covers, and was about to get out of bed. "Shushu, I'm fine now. Let's go back to class."
