"Sister, I want a hug too!"
"I want one too! I want one too!"
They jumped and hopped around, raising their hands high, shouting that they wanted Bai Xiaoruo to hug them.
"Get out of here, all of you!"
Bai Xiaoruo is still pregnant, and carrying just one child is tiring enough for her, not to mention these naughty kids who just won't stop.
Xuan Mingyu snatched Xiao Rui Rui from Bai Xiaoruo's arms and put him on the ground. He then shielded Bai Xiaoruo behind him, forbidding them from clinging to her anymore.
Hearing the commotion at the door, the elders sitting inside came out. When they saw Bai Xiaoruo behind Xian Mingyu, they all praised her highly.
"Oh, this must be Mingyu's wife? She's quite pretty."
"She looks so young, with such big, beautiful eyes. Her baby will definitely be gorgeous."
"You two didn't post any photos or anything when you got married. I only found out now that you've gotten a wife."
"Come in, come in and sit down. It's windy outside, don't catch a cold."
Having finally gotten rid of those naughty kids, Bai Xiaoruo was now being dragged into the inner room by a group of aunts and uncles.
Bai Xiaoruo didn't know how to address them. Apart from giving a dry, awkward laugh, she just nodded in agreement with whatever they said.
Seeing Bai Xiaoruo being led away, the mischievous kids also ran in excitedly, wanting to follow wherever their sister went.
The youngest child, Rui Rui, had short legs and couldn't run fast. He fell to the ground after only a few steps and couldn't get up for a long time. His eyes were red and he looked like he was about to cry. Xuan Mingyu didn't usually like to pay attention to these children, but when he saw him fall, he couldn't help but go over and help him up.
"Did you hurt yourself?" Xuan Mingyu helped him up and gently patted the mud off his trousers.
I have no idea where he went before; his pants were so dirty, he must have been falling down a lot.
He remembered that this little nephew was the child of one of his cousins. When he was born, Xian Mingyu had seen him from afar, but had never spoken to him. He only knew that there was such a nephew.
Perhaps it's because he's about to become a father himself, but he seems to be starting to have a bit more patience with children.
"Third Uncle." Little Rui Rui called out to him in a childish voice, her big round eyes wide open.
