Bai Xiaoruo remained silent in bed.
Xian Mingyu sighed. Sincere apologies weren't working; it seemed he'd have to try something else.
"Wife, since you don't want to see me, I'll go back by myself. I'll stay far away from you from now on and never appear in front of you again, so you won't have to be bothered by seeing me anymore..."
As Xian Mingyu was speaking, he suddenly heard a soft sobbing coming from under the covers. Was she crying?
This made him tense up immediately.
Damn it! He accidentally made her cry again!
Xian Mingyu quickly pulled off the blanket covering Bai Xiaoruo's head. She was sobbing, her pillow was soaked with tears, and she had changed from her long-sleeved shirt and pants into a nightgown. Her whole body was covered with conspicuous little hickeys, making her look extremely pitiful.
Xuan Mingyu felt even more heartbroken. He was the one who caused all of this. He had sworn to treat her well for the rest of his life, so how did he accidentally end up like this?
"Don't cry, don't cry. I was wrong, really. I will definitely change in the future. Xiao Ruo'er, please forgive me."
He was about to reach out to hug her when Bai Xiaoruo pushed him away angrily, saying, "Don't touch me!"
"Okay, okay, I won't touch you, Xiao Ruo'er. What do you want from me? I really know I was wrong."
Bai Xiaoru sniffed, sat up in bed, and kept a certain distance from him. "What did you do wrong?"
"I was wrong... I shouldn't have bullied you like that last night. I promise I'll restrain myself in the future..."
"Alright!" she interrupted him. He makes promises all day long, but when has he ever kept one? She was tired of hearing it. "I can let bygones be bygones about what happened last night."
Thinking back carefully, to be honest, she couldn't entirely blame him. She had been willing last night, but she hadn't expected the marks to be so severe when she woke up this morning.
"But, but I..." Bai Xiaoru pouted, on the verge of tears again.
"Don't cry, okay? Let's talk it over. I'll promise you anything." Xuan Mingyu quickly took a tissue to wipe her tears.
"I want to swim."
She has only one wish: to swim in the ocean once.
"Okay, I'll go with you in a bit."
"don't want."
"Didn't you want to go swimming?"
"I just don't want to! How can I face anyone like this! Waaah... This whole holiday was for nothing..."
So that's what she was worried about, that's why she cried like that.
Xian Mingyu pulled the girl in front of him into his arms and coaxed her gently, "It's okay, it's okay. If you can't be seen by people, then we won't be. My baby looks good in anything, and you can only see me. I'll go down and talk to their manager in a bit, and we'll find a quiet spot in the sea where there's no one around. You can swim and play however you want."
Is it really possible?
