When Bai Xiaoruo woke up groggily, she was the only one left in bed.
Xian Mingyu was not in the room, and even his clothes from yesterday were gone.
Bai Xiaoruo quickly pulled back the covers to check and found that her bathrobe was still on. Bai Xiaoruo breathed a sigh of relief; he really hadn't done anything to her.

Oh no! I was too tired last night and fell asleep without saying much to Xian Mingyu. I had completely forgotten about what my stepmother had asked me to do.
"I... Auntie, Mingyu has been quite busy with work lately, and he went to bed very early last night. I forgot to tell him..."

After Song Meiyan left, Bai Xiaoruo felt much more relaxed. She had never dared to bring up such a thing with Xian Mingyu in the first place, and now that she no longer needed to show her face, she could continue to live her quiet life.
"Miss, breakfast is ready, please go and eat." Aunt Zhang came out of the kitchen.
"Hmm. By the way, Aunt Zhang, do you know where Xian Mingyu went? Has he already gone back?"
"My son-in-law should have gone to work by now, but he got up quite early. I had just brought out the dishes I had prepared at seven o'clock this morning when I saw him rushing downstairs with his briefcase and leaving."
