Gu Huaiqian and Fang Ru never treated Shen Jingyan as an outsider, and always sought her consent for matters big and small.
Shen Jingyan felt that such open-minded and reasonable in-laws were truly rare, and she was lucky.
So he readily agreed, "It's a good thing to study hard and make progress; having another person in the family won't hurt."
Judging from Fang Ru's words, Gu Qing's move to the city means she'll definitely be living with the Gu family for a while.

"Dad, Mom, if you think the house isn't big enough, I'll talk to Yun-ge about renting a place to live."
Fang Ru and Gu Huaiqian were surprised that Shen Jingyan agreed so readily.
They thought that with a nearly unfamiliar relative suddenly arriving at their home, Shen Jingyan, the young wife, would have some objections.
"No need, no need. It's just Da Ya Gu Qing coming alone. I'll tidy up the study for her to live in. If she gets into high school, she can go to the dormitory. It's also good for her to develop her life skills in advance."
Fang Ru planned, "If we calculate it this way, Gu Qing will only live here for a year. After that, when she goes to high school, she will stay here for two days on weekends."
Shen Jingyan asked, "When will Gu Qing arrive?"
Fang Ru said, "We have to leave soon. Zhihui has difficulty walking, so her mother, Wang Hongfang, brought the child over."
Shen Jingyan thought that it would take at least three days to get there from the countryside to the city, and they would also need to pack Gu Qing's school supplies, clothes, bedding, etc.
The next day, when she and Gu Zhiyun returned home from get out of class, they heard a loud woman's voice coming from inside the house.
Gu Zhiyun was taken aback: "You've arrived so quickly?"

Shen Jingyan pursed her lips and said, "I guess they set off as soon as the letter was sent out."
In other words, Wang Hongfang didn't even wait for Fang Ru to reply to her before she had already planned to come.
It's somewhat like saying, "I've already brought the child here, so you have to accept him whether you want to or not."
As soon as the two entered, Shen Jingyan was bumped by a big guy. Caught off guard, she stumbled. Gu Zhiyun was about to help her up when she was caught by a pair of strong arms.
"Uncle, you're back! I've been waiting for you all day!"
It was a girl's voice with a hoarse, duck-like tone.
Gu Zhiyun was startled. He always disliked physical contact with any woman other than Shen Jingyan. When he was suddenly hugged, he reflexively tried to push away the person next to him.
Those arms were like iron clamps, clinging firmly to him, and he had to push them off several times before he could get away.
Still shaken, his face turned pale.
Shen Jingyan then saw clearly that in front of her was a fat girl who was at least 1.7 meters tall and weighed more than 160 kilograms. She had three layers of flesh on her round chin, broad shoulders and a thick waist, and her arms were thicker than her calves.

This is 30 pounds heavier than when Shen Yuqin was at her heaviest!
"You...you are Gu Qing?"
Gu Zhiyun finally caught his breath and asked incredulously.
Before this, he had only met Gu Qing once, when she was a one-year-old baby in his arms.
Gu Qing grinned widely and said, "It's me, Uncle! Oh my god, Uncle, you're even taller and more handsome than in the newspaper! Please sign your autograph for me!"
A woman of similarly broad shoulders and a burly build quickly stepped forward, pulled Gu Qing aside, and scolded her:
"Why would you need an autograph? Your uncle just walked in and doesn't even know him properly yet. You have no sense of propriety, kid."
This must be Gu Qing's mother, and Gu Zhihui's wife, Wang Hongfang.
The mother and daughter look about 70% alike, especially in terms of figure, they are practically identical.
Shen Jingyan looked at Gu Qing again. She didn't look like a fifteen-year-old girl at all. If you didn't know, you would think she was an adult.

Fang Ru and Gu Huaiqian said to Shen Jingyan, "Jingya, this is your sister-in-law, and this is Da Ya Qingqing."
Wang Hongfang had long noticed this tall, graceful, elegant, and beautiful young woman.
She smiled calmly and generously, "Sister-in-law, hello. I didn't know you were here so early, and I couldn't greet you sooner."
Wang Hongfang waved her hand and shouted in a loud voice, "Hey, what's with all this welcoming and welcoming? We're all family, no need for so much formality!"
Shen Jingyan slightly curved the corners of her lips.
For the past ten years or so, they never visited, only taking money without ever interacting. Now that they need something from the Gu family, they're treating them like family.
"Qingqing, you silly child, are you still standing there? Call her Auntie!"
Gu Qing glanced at Shen Jingyan, but her gaze fell on Shen Jingyan's pretty hair clip, dress and high heels.
Wang Hongfang nudged her several times before she reluctantly said, "Auntie."
That's it? He doesn't look that much older than her, so how come he's of a higher generation?

However, her attention quickly shifted to Gu Zhiyun, her adoring gaze seeming as if she could devour him whole.
"Uncle, could you please sign your autograph for me?"
She ran to the sofa, pulled a thick notebook out of her bag, and shoved it into Gu Zhiyun's arms.
"Uncle, Seventh Master and Seventh Grandma said they'll find me a school in a few days. I want to get along well with my new classmates, so could you sign a few autographs for me as gifts? That would make me look good, wouldn't it?"
Gu Zhiyun scoffed at the idea of asking for autographs upon meeting someone.
But today was the first time he had met Gu Qing, and Gu Qing was the daughter of his savior, so it wouldn't be right for him to have a cold face.
