Too far away, Gu Zhiyun couldn't see Shen Jingyan's expression clearly, but he could strongly sense that the young girl was preoccupied and full of sorrow.
He hesitated for a long time, unable to let go of his feelings for Shen Jingyan, so he risked being discovered and came to Shen Jingyan's window.
He tapped lightly on the glass with his finger, and Chen Jingyan suddenly snapped back to reality. Seeing Gu Zhiyun's face so close to his, he jumped up in astonishment.
Gu Zhiyun didn't speak, but just gazed at her intently with his deep eyes.
Chen Jingyan felt like she was being drawn up and down by fifteen buckets of water. After struggling for a while, she put on her clothes and left the dormitory.
Gu Zhiyun finally saw the girl's face clearly. In the darkness of the night, her pretty face appeared even more fair and jade-like, but her eyes were red, as if she had been crying.
His heart jolted violently, as if struck by a hammer.
"Jingya, what happened?" he asked anxiously.
However, he dared not get too close, and the two kept a distance of three meters.
Shen Jingyan looked at Gu Zhiyun's nose, which was red from the cold, and gently twitched her nostrils in his concerned gaze.
She was overwhelmed with mixed feelings and didn't know how to speak.
Given her temperament, if she heard that Gu Zhiyun was two-timing her, she should directly confront him and ask him what was going on.
But she hesitated for a long time, wondering what kind of identity she should use to question Gu Zhiyun.
The two are still in an ambiguous, secret relationship.
She's not even Gu Zhiyun's girlfriend, is she?
Isn't that childhood sweetheart in the city the real girlfriend?
"Jingya, what's wrong?" Gu Zhiyun felt even more distressed and anxious when he saw that Shen Jingyan's eyes were even redder. "Did you hear something from someone?"
"Gu Zhiyun, what do you like about me?" Shen Jingyan blinked hard a few times, forcing back the tears that welled up in her eyes.
Gu Zhiyun was stunned.
Why is the little girl asking this out of the blue?
What is it about me that you would like to like?
Gu Zhiyun frowned and said, "I could talk about how good you are for three days and three nights, are you sure you want me to answer now?"
"Do I have that many?" Shen Jingyan's voice was soft and gentle, completely lacking her usual crisp and capable tone.
"Yes, for me."
Gu Zhiyun shuffled forward a few steps, looking around warily.
In the middle of the night, he, a grown man, was seen leaning against a young girl's window and couldn't explain himself no matter what.
But he didn't want to answer the question hastily.
Then his expression became serious: "Jingya, I can write a three-thousand-word report about all the good things you've done for me, and read it to you one by one, instead of just giving you a few perfunctory words to make you happy."
This answer is very "intellectual".
Shen Jingyan stared at him, trying to find some other emotion in his eyes, but unfortunately she didn't.
The way he looked at me never changed.
She really wanted to ask directly whether Gu Zhiyun had a girlfriend in the city.
But the words that were about to come out were swallowed back down.
If she were to ask that question, wouldn't that be questioning Gu Zhiyun's character?
Everything she knew came from Grandma Xu, and Grandma Xu only knew it through hearsay. How could she question Gu Zhiyun with unfounded and unsubstantiated information?
She decided not to ask anymore.
Gu Zhiyun was quite puzzled to see that she always seemed to want to say something but held back.
He truly hated that he wasn't a mind reader, unable to know the girl's feelings at all times.
"Jingya, when I say I want to be with you, I only want to be with you. There was no one else in my past, and there will only be you in my present and future. Don't listen to what others say and overthink it. You have to trust your boyfriend, okay?"
Chen Jingyan's heartbeat quickened, and the dark clouds that had been hanging over her heart dissipated considerably.
Although she didn't ask Gu Zhiyun about their childhood sweetheart relationship, Gu Zhiyun had already given her the answer she wanted.
She really shouldn't have doubted Gu Zhiyun's character!
She rubbed her sore eyes and smiled, "Mmm."
Seeing the little girl smile tonight was a rare treat, and Gu Zhiyun felt all the chill in his body vanish.
He couldn't resist any longer and took two steps forward, completely eliminating the three-meter distance.
Shen Jingyan shrank back nervously, but Gu Zhiyun stretched out his long arm and pulled her into his arms.
Her face was lifted up, and Gu Zhiyun kissed her fiercely.
Shen Jingyan felt a little itchy from the stubble on his face and whimpered as she tried to push him away.
But all her strength melted away in Gu Zhiyun's tenderness.
When the little girl came out, she only had her cotton-padded coat draped over her shoulders, and she was only wearing pajamas underneath. The neckline was a bit low, revealing her swan-like neck, which was usually covered up tightly.
Gu Zhiyun's Adam's apple bobbed violently a few times as he gently inhaled the fragrance emanating from Shen Jingyan, his warm, wet kisses traveling downwards.
When Shen Jingyan was kissed on the neck, her whole body felt like it was being electrocuted, tingling and numb. She closed her eyes and breathed heavily, her hands gripping Gu Zhiyun's clothes tightly.
This soft gasp made Gu Zhiyun's kiss even more fierce.
"No... Brother Yun... are you out of your mind?!"
Gu Zhiyun's lips and tongue became increasingly unrestrained, and it looked like he was about to lose control. Shen Jingyan pounded his chest and struggled to get out of his arms.
It took Gu Zhiyun a while to regain his senses. He rubbed against Shen Jingyan's delicate neck a few times before reluctantly letting her go.
"I've finally figured out a sentence," he suddenly blurted out out of the blue.
"Huh?" Shen Jingyan looked at him, puzzled.
