Xu Honglin opened the door aggressively, and Gu Zhiyun hurriedly tried to enter, but Xu Honglin pushed him out the door.

Qiao Suxin was so frightened that she quickly came over to break up the fight, fearing that Xu Honglin would get Gu Zhiyun injured in his rage.
"Honglin, we haven't even asked you properly yet, put down the broom first!"
Xu Honglin held the broom high, having barely exhaled from that blow.
"What are you asking? Besides him, who else would dare to lay a hand on my daughter? I'll beat him to a pulp today!"
Gu Zhiyun stood at the door like a stone statue, neither hiding nor making a sound to defend himself.
He felt extremely guilty and even thought that being beaten was not too much.

Xu Honglin was no longer as agitated as before, so Qiao Suxin quickly snatched the broom from his hand and threw it far away.

Xu Honglin and Qiao Suxin exchanged a glance.
It turned out that his own daughter had gotten into a fight with a relative of the Gu family.
The couple knew their daughter's temper very well; the girl looked kind and gentle, but she was absolutely ruthless when it came to taking action.
Gu Zhiyun probably said a few words to his daughter because she had beaten the other child badly.
The little girl had always been pampered and cherished by Gu Zhiyun. Perhaps it was the first time that the person she loved most had said a few words to her, which made her feel wronged and run home.
Xu Honglin and Qiao Suxin are both reasonable people. Once they understand the truth of the matter, they will not blindly favor their own daughter.

Qiao Suxin tugged at him and whispered, "Come on, come on, let's go inside. I told you not to lay a hand on him. Do you think Xiao Gu is that kind of person?"
Just as the two were about to go back inside, the phone rang.
Xu Honglin answered the phone; it was Gu Huaiqian calling.
"Oh, they're in-laws. Xiao Gu is at my house. Jingya was also in the wrong in this matter. Let Suxin and I have a good talk with her—"
To everyone's surprise, Gu Huaiqian wasn't worried about his son at all; instead, he said firmly:
"Brother, Jingya did nothing wrong, Qingqing went too far! Tell Gu Zhiyun to make Jingya forgive him, and if she doesn't forgive him, he shouldn't come home!"

Xu Honglin and Qiao Suxin looked at each other in bewilderment.
